Business cards

Recently I designed a logo for a business card (well it could also be used as a sign for an actual shop or a website logo even) for R and I thought to myself that I should really get some business cards done myself.

The idea has been with me for probably the past 3 months but I never bothered to do anything about it. The biggest problem was just getting a logo in general. I can make logos for other people, but when it comes to my own, I have no idea what to do. So I just did something a little more personalised, yet obviously says something about me, what I do, what I can do and my interests.

Yeah, I know. It looks really simple. But that’s the aim of the game. It took me a while to get the “m” looking like the way it should (I used to and sometimes still do sign that with pen and paper), and the brush tip was a nice way to end it I suppose.

I usually DIY my business cards. Back then when I sold stuff I made my own business cards – a lot of the girls who received them actually kept the cards because they were handmade :)

Obviously if it’s going to be a business card targeted at something like providing a particular service to a general public, I’d have to keep it relatively simple. And I was surprised at how well the cards turned out.

Of course, it was not without its fails. I printed maybe about 8 of these and couldn’t get the whole card into the picture. I got my printer jammed a grand total of perhaps 9 times and it was a really frustrating experience.

However as time progressed, I got the hang of it as soon as the inital hiccups were ironed out. Yes! I cut them to size myself.

I dunno, there was something rather pleasant about the way the card looked. By the way, I used a personal email address (which will reach me for sure and is the fastest way), which I have blurred out in all of the photos. I am very paranoid about having my email open to spam and other things. On the other hand, if you are interested in my designs or want me to design something, remember there’s always http://miketsudesign.wordpress.com, or simply leave me a comment (on this blog or any other blog, really, that I own) with a valid email so I can contact you personally.

I’m really trying to save up and I am looking for some extra pocket money :\ I’m quite sad over the loss of my laptop and camera, even though I keep saying it’s okay (since they are relatively easy to replace) – it means I will be out of pocket at least $2000 – the $2000 I was meant to save for a trip at the end of this year. So yes, of course I am sad. If it didn’t go towards a trip I would have engaged in some lovely… lovely… handbags :(

Hopefully these cards will be distributed to a few of my friends and just a small circle and see how it goes. I only have about 30 of these cards – fingers crossed!

Pet Peeves 4: Ownership of celebrities

Alright, I won’t deny it – I’m a serious fangirl when it comes to T.O.P and Jang Geun Suk with the occasional fangirling over (uncle) So Ji Sub.

HOWEVER, since I do have a lot of background with forums and stuff, I always get disturbed (and irritated) when I see comments such as these:

“OMGAH MY WIFE YOONA MADE IT TO A NEW DRAMA SERIES!!!”

or

“OH LOOK MY HUBBY LEE MIN HO IS UP THERE AT NUMBER 4!!”

Both quotes were a work of fiction. If by some chance they are the same as existing comments, it is purely coincidence, I swear!

I really don’t think that celebrities appreciate their fans claiming that they are in a marital status with them. Sure, of course I understand it’s a figure of speech, but it is indeed a pet peeve of mine for rather obvious reasons.

I absolutely never ever call T.O.P or JGS like my boyfriend or whatever – I respect what they do, and that’s about it. Where I can, I shall compliment them to no end, and where they are flawed, I shall defend them to the curvature of the earth. As for Uncle SJS, I hope you all realise I am saying it in a rather joking manner (same surname, he’s older – blah blah – pretty uncle to me – I never claim him to be blood related or family related in any way. Besides, it’s typically an Asian culture to refer to a senior male you respect as ‘Uncle’ anyway).

I personally think when people start using the words “hubby”, ‘husband”, “wife”, “wifey” etc. that they are getting a bit too far. Probably because it just isn’t true to begin with, and I can foresee a lot of fights going like:

A: HE IS NOT YOUR HUBBY, HE IS MINE!
B: NO! HE IS MINE!!!
A: RAWR HE IS MINE! HE IS EVERYWHERE AND I EVEN SLEEP WITH HIM IN BED HE IS BESIDE ME EVERY NIGHT!
B: HE’S ON MY WALLS EVERYWHERE IN MY HOUSE, SLEEPS WITH ME TOO – THE ONE IN *YOUR* BED IS AN IMPOSTER!!!
A: HE LOVES ME!
B: HE IS EMBROIDERED ON MY PANTIES!!
A:
ewww.

What do you think about people who claim ownership of celebrities?

Louis Vuitton now has AUD!

Today I was talking to C about handbags and what not and I realised that LV website now has AUSTRALIA as a location.

Curious, I clicked on it.

www.louisvuitton.com

OMG!

The website now comes with prices!!!

This is so handy!

And By the way, I’m not “OMG” ing at the price lol (well I am because I feel I got ripped with my Azur Canvas bag *glares*). That bag I like the look of very very much. I wouldn’t mind getting that for my next designer item. It looks really pretty, and I like how the strap is also the vernis leather which means it won’t carve my skin like the calf skin straps – RAWR!

WAIT – FORGET ABOUT THOSE, I WANT THIS ONE:

OMGAH THAT IS SO CUTE AND PRETTY!! The size is good too and IT LOOKS LOVELY!

I don’t know if you can see, but it comes with an extra long strap, a really cute zipper and these cute studs along it. I WANT THIS SO BADLY!

*goes and surfs the rest of the site*

EDIT/ I’m sad now lol. I don’t see myself buying a bag any time soon. If it weren’t for my laptop being stolen and everything, perhaps I would have gotten something for my birthday this year, but I guess not any more. At times like this I really wish that I had a job. That way I don’t have to facepalm at my computer while the LV site is open :(

Actually job could also be interchangeable with “winning the lottery”, “sugardaddy” or “boyfriend”. Unfortunately all are not viable and are non existent. Boo!

Pet Peeves 3: People bumping into you + Random ramblings

Pet Peeves 3

People who bump into you, without saying sorry – or bump into you, say sorry, but don’t mean it.

Am I the only one who gets annoyed by this?

I’ve had a few bad experiences in the city in the recent month or two, and I’m very surprised because I’ve never had it happen to me before. I mean sure, I used to get bumped into all the time at Paddy’s Market in the food and produce section, but what do you expect? Everyone wants to get in and then get out, so who really cares about that?

I’m surprised that it’s happening on the streets more often these days. I’m a city girl. Always has been and probably always will be. I’m close to the city, and I know my way around probably about 80% of the city with no problems at all.

—-

We were crossing the street and to get to the other side we had to squeeze in between two parked cars. In that gap were two tall men. Just as I passed the guy (making every effort to avoid touching him, as I leaned back as if I was doing the limbo), he nudges my collarbone/ shoulder with his elbow. He goes “oh! Sorry!” – WTF?!

DID YOU NOT SEE ME COMING FROM ACROSS THE STREET? Yeah you might be tall, but I’m not that short myself! I’m 165cm!

IDIOTS.

—-

About a month ago I was waiting at the lights with a friend, when this guy bumped into me. There was nobody standing next to me on the side he bumped into – it was more like he felt like bumping into me. He didn’t even look at me or even utter a word of apology! Out of anger I made a kicking gesture at his butt to show that if I was serious about it, I could kick him hard and onto the street where there was oncoming traffic. His friend (who pretended he didn’t know the offender) saw it, and as soon as they crossed the road, they scurried elsewhere.

My friend was mostly concerned that something might have been stolen when the bump occurred. Well no, nothing was stolen. The guy was being an idiot.

—-

We were walking up a narrow walkway (you know the ones that are bridged and covered and are on the street along a construction site) and I was holding a large Morning Glory shopping bag with a huge soft toy inside for L‘s birthday. Some lady pulling this luggage case completely tugged her case against the soft toy and not once did she look back.

We later stopped to look at a clothing stall when we were just standing outside and looking. The same lady comes back (she probably went in the wrong direction).

Immediately upon recognising her, I whacked her stupid luggage case with the toy. Almost INSTANTLY she turns to glance at me.

WHAT? NOW YOU KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE TO BUMP INTO OTHER PEOPLE? DO NOT BUMP INTO OTHER PEOPLE! And if you do, at least have the decency to say sorry or make a sorry gesture!

Have you had any particularly weird, bad or bumping experiences that made no logical sense or made your blood boil? Please share!

Logo

Well, R asked me to make a logo for his own computer repair and networking service. I’ve completed Stage 1 of it, so I guess I’ll be working on that more.

It was actually really hard to design >_> I did some research on existing computer repair logos and stuff and most of them were tacky with stuff like spanners and stuff (I thought screwdrivers would be more appropriate for a computer?) – I tried to make something look professional, but reliable and clearly computer related. A bit of creativity added so perhaps it implies that there’s some innovation involved, so hopefully that got the concept across?

If y’all haven’t already, visit my logo design blog portfolio. I really want to design more logos OTL.

Alcohol

Well, I think the title explains it all.

Some people tend to have high or low alcohol tolerance. I’m not really sure exactly where I fit in, but I think I belong to the low alcohol tolerance group. By this I mean that if you give me maybe a glass or two, I will be gone, but after that if I walk it off or something, I’m back to normal fairly quickly. In otherwords, alcohol infiltrates my system fairly quickly and lingers for some time, but I am capable of getting rid of it relatively easily (perhaps the alcohol stays for 45mins, and then I get rid of it within the next 15). Then again I’ve never taken in large amounts of alcohol at a time, so I won’t ever really know.

Generally if I know that I will be taking in alcohol, I go to Seoul Ria and make sure I eat all the bap in the bowl. Unfortunately ever since that first time that I did so, I never really ate up before consuming alcohol.

What exactly is being tipsy? I imagine that’s when you still sort of know what you’re doing, but your face is burning, you feel warm (or hot depending on where you are) but have slightly deteriorated judgment. By this I mean things like poor memory (seeing someone you know but can’t remember where or how), losing balance when you try to stand on one foot or shift your weight from one leg to the other, and misjudging distances (you bump into things, you might fall, and the list goes on).

I’ve never been drunk before, and I don’t think I want to ever be lol. Being tipsy is already pretty bad enough because I realised that I don’t really know exactly what I’m doing. It’s almost like everything you do is fun and normal and casual, but when other people look at you, what you’re doing is pretty extreme. I think being tipsy gives you an excuse to do something crazy but see it as normal. At the same time, your head is spinning. There’s nothing wrong with that, but you gotta know your limits., and when you’re tipsy, you can’t tell where the limits are. Hmm.

I’ve been thinking the past few days and I realised that I probably was out of character when I was tipsy. I better not be tipsy any more lol. I think I’ll stay away from alcohol for a while ;x

I don’t want to know what I’d say or do if I were well and truly drunk if I’m that bad tipsy :(

31st day of hula!

Because it’s been a month, I’m going to try and start over in the sense that I’m now going to try to spin the hoop clockwise rather than anticlockwise, as I’ve been doing for the entire past month. I might end up with a lot of bruises again, but I hope I can be able to do it! If I can master it within the next day or two, then I’ll definitely be spinning clockwise for 30 days. So I’ll be alternating which way I spin monthly. Sounds good? You bet, it means that both sides of your waist might be a bit more even.

I haven’t noticed any side of my waist being more curved than the other. If this clockwise spinning fails really badly, I’ll just spin anticlockwise lol. It’s not a big deal.

Nails of the week will be returning soon!

I noticed that I haven’t posted Nails of the Week for a fairly long time. It was mostly due to being busy (I made a model as well last week, and glue does not like polish – it will melt it off like no other), and I was growing out my nails. I’m going to file them nicely and perhaps tonight I’ll do them. I’ll blog about it tomorrow.

Palty update

Colour has not faded, and my hair does not feel dry. My hair feels surprisingly healthy after having it dyed with Palty. The Tsubaki oil also is quite nice and it has been keeping my hair nice and “straight”. By this I mean no frizz, well hydrated hair.

I never noticed how long my hair has grown until recently. But I like it better that way. I feel like I’m back in my high school days, and it feels good to be like that. Now if only I got rid of more kilos, then everything would be perfect.

Rambles are over! Until next blog!

Gmarket Haulage 4

Hi! I’m back with the Gmarket post.

I’m very sorry for the poor image quality. As some of you who have been following this blog know, my camera was stolen, so I have no other choice but to use my mobile phone. Hopefully it should be okay.

Firstly, this order came relatively fast – it was sent from Korea on Tuesday and arrived in Sydney on Friday, which is really speedy. The only thing that delayed my order was another pair of shoes I wanted from a seller I shall call bi*******, who didn’t send out my flats. The seller managed to delay my order by a grand total of 8 days, which annoyed me greatly, when I got a reply they’d arrive at the warehouse on Monday. Gmarket customer service told me the delay was due to an increase of orders – but really? I’m sceptical. Most Gmarket sellers make a very good effort to tell you what’s in stock or what’s not in stock. Basically, if the item is not in stock, you can’t buy it. It’s as simple as that. Most sellers will also update their images and write out of stock on the ones they don’t have, and remove it from the drop down menu so you can’t even buy it. This is why that seller seemed very fishy to me, since they weren’t sending anything out.

I saw a few negative reviews for the seller (wrong size sent, no apologies given) and people have been receiving their items. I ordered quite early, so I didn’t understand why it took the seller so long. I’m just assuming the seller doesn’t want to do business, so I asked Customer Service to cancel the item. I really wanted the shoes though! But Gmarket Customer Service was great.

One thing for sure – I’m never going to buy from that seller ever again! NEVER!

TIP: It was my first experience having a delayed seller, so in the future if it happens to you – don’t wait! If it doesn’t come after 3 days, you can either contact the seller (which I did, in grammatically poor Korean) or Gmarket Customer Service. Simply ask when it will be sent. You should get a reply fairly soon – and if it doesn’t come by the designated day, the seller doesn’t appear to be too interested in selling, so just ask Customer Service to cancel. Thanks Gmarket!

Anyway, usually I take a photo of the box, but by the time I got home my mum already opened the package for me lol. The box was quite large in comparison to what I got (probably the next best size) and it was battered somewhat. I think because it got to Sydney so fast, it got a bit of a bump here and there in the process, but meh, it’s ok. It’s what’s inside that counts ; )

CLOCKWISE: Millitary jacket, a pair of ankle laced boots, a pair of high heels, mini instax photo albums.

The total of this order was about 115,000 Won including shipping. So for $115 you can get a jacket, 2 pairs of shoes and 3 photo albums. CRAZY. I paid like $140 for my military jacket, so this was a real bargain to me!

This jacket sells on Gmarket for about 19,900 Won. I used a coupon with my Gstamps (I lost a lot in the process… it’s a bit like gambling) and got 2000 Won off the price. In other words, this jacket was only like $18. It has a lining, the buttons are securely on, there were a few loose threads nothing major, and the stitching almost immaculate. The lining is perfect and the fabric is excellent. It is very warm and it fits me perfectly – not too loose and not too small. The jacket came in a plastic package (like shrink wrapped) and the feathers were slightly bent (maybe just one of them or something), which is understandable.

To my biggest surprise, it came with tags – and good quality tags at that. This jacket is amazing – I really love it.

I wore the jacket out to clubbing (far right, of course). It’s light, looks right for the occasion and well, yeah – it’s a really nice jacket. Buying this jacket makes me regret my $140 purchase at the secret stall. But oh well! I know where to look next time :)

SELLER LINK: HERE

I’m sorry I didn’t get a top view photo (it was blurry and now it’s too dark to take another one), but I am very impressed with this pair of boots. They cost about 25,000 Won, which is cheaper than your average pair of ankle boots similar to this. Each boot came in its own plastic bag and dust bag as you can see below (that white fabric thing) – I was elated.

The shoelaces – yeah, they’re a bit thin and kinda flimsy, but you can easily replace them (I don’t think I will be doing that). The zippers on the side are sturdy and thick, so it’s not fragile at all. I thought these would be very hard, but they’re not – they fit perfectly to my foot, and the sole is non slip and SOOOOO SOFT! I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they were. The material isn’t shiny either so it doesn’t look cheap. Very pleased. These shoes make up for the loss of my flats any day.

I’ll find those flats from a different seller, next time. *shakes fist* They would have been so awesome. Sigh.

SELLER: HERE

Pretty heels for clubbing. I didn’t wear these out to clubbing though (good thing I didn’t, my legs were like jelly even though I was wearing flat boots). I had to buy these because they were 6cm heels (I don’t think I can survive on 8cm) and they look quite nice and were in stock.

Overall the shoe is well made, and they’re very comfy to wear! It doesn’t feel like 6cm and I have no issues trying to balance at all. This led to me wondering if it really was 6cm or not.

It is 6cm!

One thing to note about buying heels on Gmarket is to check the heel height very carefully. A lot of their lovely looking ankle booties and heels are actually 8cm-11cm, which is incredibly high. It’s extremely difficult finding anything around 4-6cm heel height, so it took a lot of effort to find this seller. I’m glad though, these are lovely!

The back part though feels like it can scratch the skin off the back of my foot – I’d  use one of those stickers for the back of the shoe, but the seller who was going to give them to me didn’t send their stuff out OTL That’s why I didn’t want to wear these for clubbing. They fit nicely and are comfortable to walk around in. Lovely!

It also has a non slip sole and is made in Korea :D

Last but not least, the photo albums. They were packed very neatly and flat. No freebies unlike the other seller, but this seller estimated the weight at 0.3kg rather than 1kg, which is far more accurate, which is why I chose this seller. They shipped out very fast too.

So, that’s my order – kudos to all these sellers- top notch quality items, and also they all sent their stuff to the warehouse very quickly. I wasn’t pleased with the other shoe seller I had to cancel, but the Customer Service was quick to reply and handle it so my parcel wasn’t delayed any further.

Not sure when my next order will be, because well, I have to buy a new laptop and camera, but I will be ordering instax film (I only have 80 shots left), possibly some sweaters/ jumpers for my mum and I’m after a few pairs of flats. I WANT THOSE TAP DANCE LOOKING WHITE AND BLACK ONES THAT T.O.P HAS :( Peter from One Way also wore them at a live. Oh how I wish they had them – I shall rummage and dig through the Interweb of Gmarket.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed this post. I was very pleased with all the items. Until next Gmarket blog!

Diet Diary progress

I’m well aware that I need to write about my Gmarket items (which I am very pleased with, I must say), but it’ll take me some time to take the photos with my camera. Either way, I’ll get it done within the next day or so :)

Today is Monday! Monday is my jump onto the scales and measure my waist day. I’ve been updating the Diet Diary page on the  top, check it out if you need an overall summary (no details).

I started on the 28th March, and today is the 26th April, so therefore I’ve almost started on this diet routine for about a month.

For the 29 days I’ve lost a total of 1.7kg and 1 inch from around my waist.

That’s pretty good, I must say. I lost 0.3kg just this last week though, which doesn’t really seem all that healthy to me considering my lifestyle in the past week:  for the past few nights I’ve been having 5, 3, 3, 8, 12 hours sleep respectively and the first real meal I had was kinda Wagaya on Saturday night. I had some alcohol (soju/lift, midori/lemonade, creamy shotglass, coke/bourbon, then about 3-4 shots of sochu the next night) and I probably got a good workout from walking to the apartment and back and so forth and dancing in the club for maybe 2.5 hours would have made up for my lack of hula hooping for I think Friday – Sunday (so about 3-4 days, I can’t remember).

Anyway, I really would like to keep it up. I’d be elated once I hit 5kg, but I’ll still continue because I seriously would not mind losing 10kg altogether. I’d be kinda (ok, that’s an understatement) underweight if I do lose 10kg, considering I’m in the healthiest healthiest BMI range ever imaginable at the moment (well I always was, so I’m confused. Perhaps the 300g made no difference to the calculations). If I ever get to 10kg, I’d end up with a BMI of roughly 18. Damn that sounds so good. I don’t care if that’s borderline underweight, I think I’ll be sharper with a slimmer frame. I think I’ll stick to it.

The same drill – walk to uni, walk home, take the stairs, 1 hour hula hoop per day, and get out of the house at least one day on the weekends. And if I’m busy on the weekend, I go out on a weekday.

CANNOT WAIT!

PS: Now I have to work on an essay. Damn. I’ll write about Gmarket tomorrow probably, it’s too dark to take decent photos now. Until next blog!

Mazeltov of the week

Sorry these posts get shorter and shorter, worse and worse by the week. I survived on just 6 hours sleep in 48 hours on Friday and Saturday. I probably looked like crap on Saturday (didn’t help with zero makeup), but I think I am looking a bit sharper tonight since I had 8 hours’ sleep.

Friday

Design. I don’t want to talk about it and I don’t want to think about it. I think I will keep my thoughts to myself.

Gmarket #4 Arrived

I’ll write about it in a separate post. DAMN IT. I took a photo of the stuff I bought and then BAM. GONE. Because I no longer have my camera.

I also hope that they delete all my photos from the memory card… I don’t tend to take photos of my room or anything, but I am worried because I do take photos of the things I buy. DAMN IT. Mostly petty things though. Most of the photos were blog photos or photoshoot ones. I rarely took photos of myself so it’s alright I guess.

—–

However, the highlight of Friday had nothing to do with design, it had to do with this party:

OMAGAH. A CLUB THAT PLAYS KPOP.

We just had to go! It was R’s birthday and we just all had to go and use that as a reason to go celebrate. And it was just to go clubbing!

I’ve never clubbed in my whole life, so it was a new experience for me. I had no idea the guy at the door was asking me for my hand to stamp it, so I must have either looked really dumb or really tipsy. Not sure which one is better, but at least it’s all good. Plus we mostly got free entry before 11pm, so that helped.

—–

We went to LIVE first to have some noraebang (that is, karaoke lololol – I made it sound like a drug or something).  The counter girl kindly gave us more time since we were there for just an hour, but we needed to head out and go clubbing. I think I’m getting better at singing How Gee! YUS.

—–

We walked perhaps 15 minutes to the clubbing place and when we got there, there was a line outside. Fairly short line, perhaps with 20 people in line, and we got in after maybe 7 minutes or so.

The interior of Slide is really nice. The only problem was that being the way it was, it’s a fairly narrow and small space. When we got there the place was empty, and there was nobody on stage. Slowly though, people started getting up to dance and it was really enjoyable – until we saw girls being felt up and all. Hmm.

For some reason I was given a midori/lemonade, had some yummy creamy shotglass thing I never caught the name of, and also a coke/bourbon from D. I also had soju and I think lift just earlier on. I didn’t have dinner (dinner was 5 KFC chicken bits) and I had so little sleep (3 hours). The good thing was that because it’s clubbing and makeup is a given, I don’t think I was that red, and dancing it off helped. I’m fairly sure I was tipsy because my head was spinning a bit and I was losing balance quite a bit even when I tried to step to the side or lift a leg up. I remember not even seeing where I was going properly when I headed up the stairs to grab my jacket from the cloak room.

I think we all had the most fun when the Korean music started playing, and we all did the dances to mostly 2NE1 songs, 2PM’s Again and again. They didn’t play Bo peep though :( And a whole bunch of awesome songs. Sad.

Our circle was crashed early on in the night when two guys danced through and were trying to hit on C and J. Luckily the guys were outside smoking or those two guys would have been seriously messsed up >_<

M and I decided to go to the toilet early in the night, which was surprisingly clean. We got very confused because we could see into the toilet and all the toilet stalls, so there was something odd. The Cloak room girl told us that the toilets were unisex, but we decided to walk into the one with a pretty frosted glass door – and guess what, it was a urinal! We walked straight back out going OMG! but we were laughing in hysterics because we were soooo lucky that there wasn’t anyone inside. I’d feel sorry for any guy at a urinal to be walked in on by 2 girls lol. Lucky.

While I was dancing there was a moment when I started realising some random guy in black was dancing behind me the entire time. Usually I tend to glance over my shoulder to see how much space I have and seeing it was black, I thought it was probably B, but I thought something was amiss because there was a height difference. Turns out it was some random dude who kept following me even though I was shifting positions around our circle. I even cut through it to dance on the other side and I found him still behind me. I’m glad that I wasn’t imagining things because the others also noticed it, but I think after that I think I went outside with M to get some air, I lost him >:3

Also, while I was dancing I could have sworn I had my ass slapped, but I don’t know if it was someone who just passed by and did it accidentally or if it was intentional. When I turned around I saw a huge gap behind me and that random dude in black didn’t have much of a facial expression. Fingers crossed it wasn’t!

There was also this really scary moment where there was this guy who kept watching our circle (or whatever he was looking at)…

The night started to become crap as soon as there were more people inside and it got stuffy, hot and just gross. They started letting in people wearing tshirts and jeans (so skater or nerd looking people) and the night just grew very unenjoyable. There were people dressed horribly in the club. My friend A told me that the general dress code for clubbing was a dress or skirt (no pants or shorts but leggings should be okay) and heels. A lot of people were wearing things they’d just wear at home before they go to sleep. Not sure how that happened.

The MC went on stage and then there was this random dance thing going on… the girl were wearing far too much makeup. And then after that, they replayed the same songs in the same order as the beginning of the night, and that was made of yawnsauce.

We left, and went back to the apartments where we watched some Family Outing and then went to sleep. It was a super enjoyable night and clubbing honestly was not a bad experience. We went in a really fun group and honestly speaking, the people in the club were fairly neatly dressed and weren’t too bad. Everyone seemed to just be enjoying themselves and even though there were random moments in the night, it made things interesting. I wouldn’t mind doing it again, it was quite fun. Of course, I wouldn’t want to do it when it’s getting way too crowded though. Feels too gross when you know everyone is sticky and stuff.

Saturday

I had a brief moment on Saturday when I had to quickly head back home because apparently my place got broken into and I had to go check what was missing. Most of the stuff stolen was my stuff, which is bad luck, but I’m thankful my parents were not hurt. I don’t want to mention much because of obvious reasons.

I took a taxi home and when I got back, I found that my laptop and camera had been stolen. I don’t think I paid for the camera, but I saved up to buy that laptop… so it was pretty sad. Admittedly, I never really liked my laptop all that much. I like the speakers and the look of it, but that was about it. I had it for two years and wish that I used it more.

I can’t even take photos of stuff now to post up on my blog. So if there are any photos, they will either be instax or camera photos. I’m sorry for the big masses of text, but I won’t be able to do it until I get a new camera. I’m feeling sad because even though the money I used to buy the laptop wasn’t really “mine” (since I don’t work), it was from my allowance, and I work and study fairly hard for it (if you think of the idea of me being paid to study, since being a student is technically an occupation). I just got some money from a startup scholarship, and was planning to use it to go to Broken Hill during the winter break to finish off my electives. Now, I have to use that money instead to perhaps buy myself a new laptop or a camera. I don’t know how things are going to work out. So in other words, thanks to whoever did it, you screwed up my education.

All I can say is shame on whoever did it, because you broke into an apartment where a poor girl student who has a limited allowance actually saves up to buy her own stuff, and works overtime almost every night before submissions and took the stuff she needed to do her work. I don’t even want to talk about anything else. I’m just too disgusted to believe or comprehend what had even happened. They also took something of great sentimental value to my mum, something she worked very hard to buy. My mum hadn’t worked for about 15 years and when she did, it was a tough waitressing job where she had to do all the stupid crap that wasn’t in the range of work she needed to do. She has a back problem and various other health issues, so that was her first real job in 15 years. She saved up months to buy it, and then now it’s stolen. It’s the equivalent to stealing from the elderly.

I had to call the police and file a report. And after that I headed back out to the city, where I could just temporarily forget about the dark atmosphere back at home.

C helped me dye my hair with the Palty dye! Thanks!! <3

Again I would have done a review if my camera hadn’t been stolen. But my hair is brown! No weird regrowth now :D The dye doesn’t smell bad at all and it doesn’t stick to the scalp. The only bad thing was that it’s quite strong, so it made my scalp a bit itchy in some places. I used a hairdryer periodically to help the chemical process.

Overall, the dye was quite good. Apart from a Korean dye I bought, this was the next most effective DIY dye I’ve ever applied to my hair. The colour is fairly accurate to the picture on the pack (lightened my black hair to the brown) but it was strangely odd because the entire time I was washing it out, it was yellow that was coming out. Generally the dye is brown, but this was was yellow. Another thing to note is that 2 packs is probably better. I el cheapo’d out and just got one, which was sort of enough to cover everything, but my hair is quite thick and long. Next time I’ll use two.

But YAY – thanks so much C!

We headed out to Wagaya for J‘s birthday dinner. J kindly sympathised with my loss, which really touched me ;-; Happy Birthday!
Once again I survived a sushi roulette (no wasabi!) and got incredibly red from all the sochu. I think I had 3 shots or something. But alas, no bbcream or powder on my face. I went au naturale yesterday.

Then we headed back, talked about random stuff, and then went to sleep.

Sunday

Had 8 hours sleep, checked out and then we just all went home because the weather is pretty crappy and it’s a public holday.

And now I’m here.

I really want to do my exercise and have some sleep. I don’t think I had a proper meal in the past 2 days (Wagaya was the closest “meal” but even so I didn’t really eat much). I also want to start on my uni work and get myself back on track.

I’ll be scanning in the few instaxes I took the past two days I suppose, but yeah, sorry guys, no photos until I get back on track.

And to C – find the surprise! If you still can’t find the surprise, I can give you a hint, it’s in your LV bag somewhere! I just hope it didn’t fall out or get lost. And to Ramille, what did you guys do to my bag?! I checked everything but found nothing.

I had extreme 2 scales for this week – I had loads of massive awesomesauce fun, and then on the other end of the spectrum it was like grieving over various crapsauce events.

I am going to recover today and hopefully be 100% charged by tonight. Thanks to the Lovigans for an enjoyable 2 nights/ days – I had a lot of fun!

Very tired – exhausted.

Greetings again from my laptop. I blog so often on this machine I should just take a photo of it and post it up. I think you’re all sick of the HP desktop in the background. Joking.

Jokes aside (that was a very dry and fail one), I am really exhausted. I’m starting to wonder if I’ll get any sleep at all tonight, and whether or not I’ll be able to fully enjoy Friday night.

I got home at about 6:45am this morning, after working pretty much the entire night on a physical site model. We had this 5mm cardboard I think that was SO DAMN HARD TO CUT that my right hand was red, swollen, and now it feels like all the joints in my hand have been overworked. I find it hard to squeeze my hamd so this will be interesting tomorrow night. I might not even be able to hold a frying pan properly.

My current plan is to probably either be able to get home tonight (fingers and toes crossed) or really quickly duck back home after class and then out to the city I go. I’ll bring the boots, but I think I’ll be wearing flat ones instead because I don’t want to trip, fall and then end up twisting my ankle in the process. That is not good.

First thing I’ll do is probably shower as soon as I hit the apartments and then try to sleep some time before we head out.

I think my body is growing tired and we’re all getting old. I used to only feel tired at around 6-7am but I was exhausted by the time it was 4:30am. I think it’s because we were making a physical model, rather than doing computer work, because computer work exhausts you mentally, but with a physical model it’s physically and mentally. By physically I mean you’re actually moving, but also trying desperately not to slice your finger open due to fatigue (which happened to me about 3 years ago, my index finger got sliced open).

I’m actually genuinely fairly worried about this submission because there’s a lot to do, and while I know I’m capable of finishing it, Friday night and being able to even speak English while doing my presentation are these little worries nagging at the back of my mind.

Either way, I can’t wait to see you guys on Friday night, it’s only been a week or two, but I miss you all and I can’t wait to get away from this. Don’t be surprised if I turn up on the doorstep and then start bursting into tears – I do strange things when I’m tired :\ But the good thing is afterwards I’m all human again.

I think my brain is still in “wheee tired weird” mode, which is probably why this post isn’t making sense.

Oh, and gmarket is now in Sydney. If I’m extremely lucky, I might actually get it tomorrow, so I will have 6cm heels. But it depends if I’m alive enough to even get to buy those insoles. Bleh. Tomorrow will reveal all.

I’ll see you guys tomorrow! xoxo

PS: any comments, questions have been answered as so far – in particular to Judy’s comment – check out “Gmarket Haulage 3″ post for my reply. Any new questions or comments will be answered probably Sunday at the soonest. Tata!

Stressed

I just realised that for Friday’s party I would possibly have almost no time to go home if I wanted to head out to the city and buy some things I needed.

The thing that I currently need is a pair of silicon gel shoe inserts to place into the front part of a shoe, because I will have no other choice but to wear a pair of 8cm zipia ankle walker boots OTL Given that we’d be standing (possibly dancing) and walking around probably and being pushed all over the place, I really need these shoe inserts. Why I didn’t buy them earlier on my excursion to Campsie is beyond me (and they were only like, what, $1.50!). I don’t know if I can be able to go home and then rush out to the city AND make it on time for the shops to not be closed. I’m saying this because I know that the buses are PACKED at around 6pm, which is really ridiculous (imagine getting rejected by like 6 buses – it’s bound to happen, unfortunately, methinks, plus I’ll be carrying a large bag). Last night I saw a huge line even at 8:30pm, which makes things doubly worse!

So now I’m currently seriously considering lugging my stuff to uni with me so I can just go to the city straight afterwards, and not go home. That might be a bit tricky though, because I have way too many things I’d like to bring with me. I haven’t finished packing but so far, my baggage is relatively light; I still need to put in my essentials like toothpaste, possibly shampoo and I’m not even considering shoes at the moment. I have a feeling I will turn up with 3 pairs of shoes in one way or another. I’m very close to thinking I should just give up on the ankle boots and just wear flat boots. Maybe I’ll just bring both.

Oh yes – hair straightener, which will no doubt take up a bit of space and will be heavy. Fingers crossed I won’t be feeling like I’m doing menial work whilst walking in the city.

Update on design: I’m starting to get very worried as the time ticks down. We have quite a bit of material, but I’m afraid it possibly won’t be enough. We still have today and tomorrow, but we also need to make models, which is getting me very very nervous.

Either way I’m excited for Friday and I can’t wait until class is over.

And now I must hula hoop, because I won’t have time for it tonight. Sadness succumbs.

Mazeltov of the week

Hi all!

I’m blogging from my laptop for a change, not that it makes any difference for you guys as readers, but this is just to let you all know that I have no images on this computer!

It’s been such a long time since I was going to write about my past week that I can’t really remember what really did happen lol. I suppose I’ll just have to pin point all the interesting bits. And yes, I am procrastinating ;)

From I think Monday to Thursday it was just working on design, and so to recap on what happened from then on (which is nothing remarkable, at all):

Friday

Was a cruncher for design. I can’t really say much about it other than that it was an extremely long day.

Saturday

WE HAD AWESOME FUN!

Met up with Ramille and we had the best fun ho ho ho ho.

It’s R‘s birthday today! On the Saturday I gave him a Holga 135BC TLR. I’ll update some other day with a photo of it (only took one with the Instax), but you can read about it here: http://camillesioco.tumblr.com/post/531890085/misas-holga-birthday-surpise

We had lunch at ROLL+ and I am currently craving for their salmon salad. I swear, I won’t ever order anything else different from them! It was a pretty good salad I must say, and it also is good for the diet lol.

We somehow ended up cooking dinner together that night, and we had pork belly spring onion beef flavoured soup noodles with fried pork ribs (looked a bit like dog biscuits though lol). The noodles were surprisingly spicy, but it was good! Because it didn’t take like flavouring at all, considering we made it out of the stuff from the 2 minute noodle packs >:3

That night we watched Iron Man, Family Outing (featuring Tiffany from SNSD and Nicole from KARA, and also the episodes featuring Dara from 2NE1 and UEE from After School).

Nicole is so CUTE! She just randomly squeals because she’s excited to eat meat LOL.

Watching the Family Outing episode with UEE in it also made me appreciate UEE more – she wasn’t annoying at all and it goes to show how hard she tried in You’re Beautiful to act the disliked Yoo He Yi lol. It was such a funny episode too – the dances were so ridiculous we were all cracking up XD

The night ended quite late at about 12:30am, but we had a good night of random Family Outingness and Bejewelled roulette lol.

Monday

Upon taking Ramille‘s suggestion to start measuring and weighing myself, I think I have lost about half an inch from around my waist and possibly an entire kilo. I’ve only been hula hooping and doing normal exercise (walking to uni, taking stairs) for 3.5 weeks, which isn’t all that much. I haven’t cut down on any foods or made any adjustments to my diet (I never really snack or eat sweets or drink coke or anything), but I’ve been sleeping earlier and I think it’s starting to pay off.

I’d love to lose more than the 5kg that I was planning to lose. Well, I’ll keep at this hopefully for the rest of the year. If so I’d smash beyond 5kg and I’ll be back to my normal self. YAY.

NOTE: I’ve now put up a new page called “Diet Diary” at the top of the page on the top link navigation bar. I’ll be monitoring my process. The dates were approximate, but from now on the dates will be accurate since I will be monitoring the weight loss program I’m undertaking.

I’ve also asked Gmarket to cancel the last shoe order that was supposedly going to be sent in yesterday. Like I said, I highly doubt it is due to an increase of orders, because printing a label and packing a pair of shoes will NOT take an entire week. I’m very disappointed in the seller because of his poor communication. But I guess it’s a lesson – cancel anything that doesn’t come in after 3 days, there’s no point in waiting for it.

I’m annoyed that I went for it because I could have gotten something else, and I would have gotten more comfortable shoes to wear for this week. Ugh. Oh well. Can’t be helped.

It’s currently cancelling which is good – I think it’s in the process because they’re trying to get my money back from the seller – see this is what I don’t understand, why a seller wouldn’t send their goods when they’re making money out of it >_> Sigh.

Alright I think I’m done procrastinating lol. See ya all later!
