Consumerist crap – once again (I know it’s annoying, but I HAZ NO PHOTOS)

Today (Sunday) is my day off. The weather outside looks amazing, sunny, bright etc, but unfortunately I am stuck at home nursing my sescond tonsil/ throat/ whatever it is infection I’ve had this year. The first one sounded pretty bad and it was bad (I would link to a post saying something about it, but I can’t find it, I don’t know why) – this time it’s mild (if I try really hard to ignore it, I can get by without painkillers). To recap what happened last time I was told I had some virus, needed to rest/ sleep it off, and I took a day off work because it was pretty bad. I can feel it now, but it’s only 30% as bad as it was earlier this year. HMM. Can I blame it on the lovely weather? Or rather, not so lovely weather change? BLEH – either way, it feels better than yesterday and that’s all that matters for now.

The best part? My doctor has decided to take a one week trip overseas somewhere so he’s out of the country – not that it matters, since last time he just told me (model answer) to take Panadol and drink plenty of fluids. This is why I don’t like seeing doctors >__>

So my phototaking time has been very limited lately, and I’ve decided to split them up into several posts to make it look like I’m actually doing something. I’m counting down just two more weeks until my super lazy annual leave (I am waiting for Sydneysider converted Melbournean friends to come back up to Sydney !!!) so that’s exciting. I get to not work. YAY! As much as I enjoy doing what I do, there are those WTFRAGEQUIT days (I blame it on the customers, though) and I’ve actually been working for about 9 months non-stop as a full-time employee already, which is pretty crazy. I need my rest. This infection is clearly telling me I need to rest – FAST. I get three days off this week though, so that’s actually not too bad.

Going anywhere? Clearly not. I’ve spent most of my money (usually at the rate of buying things before my pay is even paid into my bank account), but I am really interested in visiting Melbourne. Mostly because I want to use my new travel/luggage bag – I AM PETTY JUST LIKE THAT.

So, I promised shoe pics God knows how long ago. Here they are.

Excuse the dirty shoe close up – I really meant to take pics before I started wearing them, but I just couldn’t be bothered. OH SO LAZY.

My (what I call) “designer shoe collection” was really meant to end several months ago, but I got sucked into it because in case if you haven’t realised, I actually really like shoes. I never actually realised it, but now I do and clearly it’s a problem.

I first encountered Jimmy Choo – I don’t really know when. I know it mostly from browsing David Jones and gawking at a pair of $2000 heeled boots discounted half price to $1000 and thinking it was freaking ridiculous. (They were really beautiful though, but probably impossible to walk in, and only good for display – but who knows? I didn’t stick my foot into it to try, so I won’t ever know.)

What’s so special about Jimmy Choo? All their shoes are made in Italy (from what I’ve encountered anyway), and they’re made of genuine leather – including this sneaker which is made of suede leather in a leopard print on the outside, patent leather trimmings, and the inside is actually completely lined in leather – I presume calf skin. I honestly didn’t expect the sneaker to be made of leather on the outside AND the inside, but I guess it’s a bonus because these sneakers were actually freaking expensive for well, a pair of sneakers. I was tossing up between these and a pair of Louboutin sneakers (but they ran out of my size and were more expensive) so I ended up opting for these.

There are various details on the sneakers which made me pretty happy (STARS!), including under the sneaker where there was a really cute star print (not shown because obviously it’s all dirty now) – the metalware says Jimmy Choo on it and they’re fairly comfortable. The sole itself is quite high but it’s nicely cushioned – they really feel like a pair of really good joggers and it feels like I’m wearing Nike Airs, only upgraded to leather. I wouldn’t recommend running in these shoes though, just for the pure reason that they are too expensive to be used for running in >_>

What I like best about Jimmy Choo shoes is that the inside of all their shoes is contoured to support the arch of your foot, which is something I haven’t felt in a long time since the very last time I wore my Nike joggers. Yep – be it sneakers or flats, they are all designed to support the arch of your foot, and that’s what makes them comfortable. The sizing is roomier than expected, but otherwise it’s a well made shoe.

The only thing(s?) I don’t like about these sneakers is that the inside of the sole has the brand stamped on the heel part but it’s in a silver foil, and it has started to rub off already. It’s the inside of the shoe so it doesn’t matter, but I can never really get why shoes use metallic anything since it rubs off so easily – they’ve done that for another pair of flats I bought but at least the brand is a stitched on logo – it’s just the rest of the inside is coming off >_>. Another thing is that the outside is suede, so you really shouldn’t wear them in rainy weather. Last but not least, the black glitter does shed/ come off. That part annoys me the most – I had glitter all over my hands the first day I wore them and it was really annoying to get it off.

Anywho, the packaging is really nice – comes in a beige box, care instructions, tissue paper embossed with the brand and also a super soft dustbag.

Jimmy Choos are seriously freaking comfy and I’m digging the quality of their shoes already (I can say this for their flats and sneakers, at the very least) – I wouldn’t hesitate buying Jimmy Choo at all. I still need to try Louboutins though – but for now I’m content and I’ve ticked that off my list.

I really had to pause for a moment when I bought these because I am not a leopard print person, but the pattern is pretty subtle and the shoe (in my opinion) is cute enough to pull off the print. They’re more formal than casual sneakers though, so that’s always a plus – it ultimately depends on how you wear them.

For a quick note about Jimmy Choo flats, the pair I own is actually really flat, has the contour inside, but also features a non slip rubber heel which is good. They’re also made fairly wide so that they’re great for work or long days. They also feature the Jimmy Choo metal plaque on the back of the shoe.

So, I have finally figured out why so many people were willing to fork out so much money for a pair – apart from just the look, they’re actually surprisingly comfortable.

This post is prematurely terminated due to my increasing muscle pains which have been creeping up on me during the past few hours, despite feeling less pain in my tonsils.

It’s time for me to take a half arsed afternoon nap. Until then, drink lots of water and stay stress-free – I have no idea what mundane post I’m going to update with next, but hopefully, this was remotely entertaining/ enlightening… just a little bit… no? No :\

I’ll be back next time with something a little better ;) Bye!

Super awesome long weekend.

So, basically I’ve been looking forward to my self-dubbed “Super long weekend” because as some may know, the Queen’s Birthday was on the 1st of June, which was a Monday. I don’t work on Mondays, but the beauty of the story is that I get an extra day off to make up for the “lost” public holiday (!!!) which made me super happy and excited. I’m running a bit low on the monies but I’m equally just as happy to chillax and finally be able to perouse the city at my leisure without having to worry about going to work the next day.

Before I get to the Super long weekend, a series of facepalm events happened. Previously on Melodrama Galore:

So, someone stole something from our shop.

Okay. Let’s face it – it’s always possible and it happens. The thing is I’m super careful and very paranoid about it happening – and somehow it happened. It happened when we all weren’t paying attention, and the thief had a clear intention to steal. I have a police report number and everything since (unfortunately) I was the leading character of this story (COOL DOOD) but it’s so useless since they just let the thief walk out of the centre. Police aren’t going to help us in any way really (nothing they can really do), and it was just such a crappy start to the day. The upside was that the day ended up being a pretty good one, despite the whole centre watching us (security running in and out of our store – and even I was running around like an idiot XD). I hope it doesn’t happen again – guh. Usually I’m so careful – I guess we all let our guard down, because we didn’t even hear their presence in our shop. Holy crap.

Coming to think of it my reflexes were already fast enough, but if I exposed them on the spot, I was so close that maybe I could have been pushed, hit, stabbed – whatever. At the end of the day I guess safety comes first :\ Contrary to what you guys may think the thief was pretty calm and by the time we confirmed an item was missing, they already left. Eurgh. Major crapballs.

I also did something cute – I forgot I had work on Monday.

Yes. That’s right.

I guess if you read carefully enough, I already mentioned that I don’t work Mondays – or rather, I used to not work Mondays.

I genuinely thought that the roster changed from the start of July, but I guess not, because I was woken up by my manager who called me LOLOLOLOL.

The conversation was along the lines of :“are you working today?!?!?!?!” “…I don’t have to work today!” ”…yes you do, you’re working today.” “WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?! ORLY. In that case I’ll be there ASAP.” “Lol, k.”

Basically I got there within 30 minutes and when my manager let me in we were both literally “KEKEKEKEKE” at each other. It was cool though – I didn’t get into trouble – it was a genuine mistake lol. I’m usually 20 minutes early to work anyway >_>

Awesome shopping Saturday, which involved zero shopping (on my part that is).

Yes, I dragged out my friend A to have lunch and we were going to scour all the sales, but unfortunately all our efforts were reduced to zero because all the good stuff is already gone. Seriously, shoes size 9 or 10s are left. Makes me want to cry :( But at the same time we both were talking about annual leave – YAY.

I’m currently contemplating leaving a bulk of my shopping so that I can go overseas towards the end of the year (TAX REFUND MIGHT AS WELL) and just escape Sydney for a bit. I haven’t been out of the country for uhh nearly 8 years now – it’s about time I consider going somewhere even if it’s a familiar place lol. Not sure what I should do though – do I want savings or do I want the experience? I calculated that if I did all my shopping here without flying overseas I get a considerable amount of savings which would otherwise go towards an air ticket and random meals and boosting other place’s GDP. Not too sure – but I did all the calculations.

All that’s left is to figure out exactly when we want to fly – there’s a significant difference in air ticket price for that time we’re thinking of flying. If the expensive season is chosen well then… lol – maybe I might choose savings instead. And I still get to buy a bazillion things I want to buy.

Anyway, I saw something that I really want to buy – I didn’t get it though, which was really stupid of me. I’ll go back on Thursday night (I finish early!!) so I’ll see if it’s still in stock. I’ve got my fingers crossed – really excited!

That aside, we had lunch:

Yeah, it was worth the wait :P

It wasn’t the first time we’ve been there (in fact it’s probably more of a place we go for a hangout since I’ve been there a few times already) – it wasn’t too terribly busy though, we got seated within 20 minutes.

YAY FOR CRAPTASTIC DARK PHOTO. I edited these at night so yeah – oh gosh, it looks so bad during day time now that I see it, but I am too lazy to go back and re-edit. Blah.

The drinks came almost instantaneously – the one in the foreground is drink #4 on the menu ($3.50) which contained longan. It’s a bit on the sweet side, but it’s really refreshing and it’s good for you. Green drink in the background is drink #3 on the menu ($4.50) – apparently it’s creamy but it’s not that sweet. Comes with green jelly inside – mmm le coconut.

Green papaya salad – $8.90 ish

Mildly spicy, comes just like it is as shown. A few tomatoes and a bit of green beans.

Some noodle – #21 on the menu – without soup. Around $10ish – cannot remember its price.

Fish balls, fish cake, and some BBQ pork (or BBQ whatever it was – I can’t really tell what meat it was). I chose medium spicy (you can have it mild or medium, I chose medium) but even so it wasn’t as spicy as the papaya salad. The noodles are long thin vermicelli type noodles, so if you don’t like those (or love them) this is something to think about. I kid – we chose it because there was a photo of this in the menu taking up a full page and it looked yummy, so we ordered it.

Pork and beef balls on a skewer with a sweet chilli sauce. $2 per skewer.

This was an entree but it came last, roflolol. We were hoping to order the LARGE deep fried looking skewers but we ordered this instead by accident since we didn’t know the difference *shrugs*.

Sauce was a bit overwhelming, but yummy nonetheless, and at its good price, why the heck not? P:

In total for the two of us, it came to just $27.80 which was ridiculously good considering we had two mains, an entree and each ordered a drink. Honestly speaking though, I wasn’t full but I walked out feeling satisfied – you’re not going to get a huge portion at Chat Thai lol, so don’t expect to be stufffed. If you want to feel stuffed, you will need to order probably 3-4 mains between 2 people :P

ANYWHO – Saturday consisted of great sunny weather and a lot of walking and window shopping.

Really looking forward to Thursday night – I’m going to definitely do some shopping before I go home!

Sunday

I managed to tidy up my closet and store room a bit by collapsing all shopping bags that didn’t contain anything useful in them and I’ve also made some space for my bags so that they wouldn’t be pulled out and used so easily. Here’s one of the epic fails of my bag selection currently that is making me want to sob:

Nope, that’s not a shadow. It’s a stain on the canvas. And it has already SEEPED IN. THERE IS NO CURE.

I don”t know when it happened, because I used the bag on a daily basis for months at a time. The miserable thing about it is that to me it’s quite obvious and I’m sad since I actually do maintain them nicely even when the worst happens (this bag actually had the inside entirely flooded about a week after I got it – and yeah, water was spurting out of it. Long story short my bottle was leaking but my bag survived).

I used mild detergent, the ole eraser method – nothing worked 100%. The stain has faded a bit, but I’m not sure if you can tell, there’s actually an entire area that is already slightly stained. SIGH. I think it’s time for me to get a new bag… but the next one I’m getting will definitely be black.

While digging out all my crap from the storeroom I stumbled across the receipt for this bag and it turns out it was more expensive than what I remembered paying. BOO. Oh well, I have been using it for about 2 years or so so I can’t really expect it to be in pristine condition, given that I did use it so often.

So a friendly reminder to all – BEWARE OF BUYING LIGHT COLOURED BAGS. They might look cute and all, but they are viscious little creatures to clean and maintain – ARGHARGHARGH.

… Therefore I packed this bag away (I was also being good and found the cardboard shaper that came with it so I could store it nicely). Will only use it when I really feel like I should and know that I’ll be wearing light coloured clothing. Same goes to my Boston… the black trimming on the handles has started to peel. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Major crapballs galore. I’ll save up for a new bag next year. I’m too into accessories and clothes at the moment to think about bags.

PS: FYI for those interested in Louis Vuitton, their prices just increased recently from July 1. Feeling a bit jipped (because my shoes went down… :( on the bright side I’m assuming they are lacking colours and sizes since their stock levels aren’t really that great in terms of shoes) but also mildly satisfied that I got in before the price increase. So if you’re thinking of getting an LV bag, maybe consider it later when the prices drop.

Until next blog!

Oh wow, so it’s been yet another week of postless posts…

Dessert Late Night Thursdays

Usually every Thursday the girls at work order dessert since we close up later than usual.

This week however, when my workmate called to order our usual dessert (I honestly don’t know the name of it in English, but it’s 楊枝金露, which is a coconut milk, sago based dessert with mango and pomelo added in), she was told that… there were no mangoes. Well honestly speaking, if there are no mangoes, then it’s not that dessert >_>;;

We called again on Saturday actually – this time they told her that there would be no mangoes for the next couple of months… so I guess we won’t be able to eat that for a while :\ I guess we’ll be eating Meet Fresh or ordering Chatime for winter…

Real Slow Friday

On Friday a bunch of  the archi guys came around to visit me at work. The conversation went along the lines of “hey you didn’t go to graduation”, “…oh, yeah, I’m not planning to go…”, “… it was today… >_>”, “… OH WHAT… Oh, yeah, that’s right…”.

True fact – I forgot my own graduation date trololol – well to be fair I was working and I was just very tired and sick. I think it’s just a very bad change in weather, lack of sleep, extreme dehydration etc – I just haven’t been very sharp lately. I’ve just been so tired that when people ask me what products are available I kind of forget. It’s alright though – because not everyone who comes in asking for a particular thing will actually buy it even if you have it (does that make sense?). We get a lot of those customers these days – kinda annoying, but what can you possibly do?

Super Saturdays

Onto other random/ exciting/ not-so exciting matters, my two Saturdays at work have been quite eventful as there is a pre-work colleague gathering at a Hong Kong style coffee house where we have breakfast before work starts. I’m amazed at their $6.50 menu (depending on the option, it usually includes a drink, if not, another small side dish- but $6.50!!!) and the fact that the waitresses don’t use notepads to take your order. The best part is that your food arrives within 5 minutes of ordering. WTH – why did I not go there before?!

On a side note, I also got my colleagues addicted to Gmarket (my bad, my bad) so they’ve been happily browsing the site despite not knowing any Korean. I am so proud of them <3

To date they’ve probably ordered (in total between 4 people almost $1000AUD – EEP – I did not mean to impose such a hole in their bank accounts – I SWEAR!)

I myself have put in another order (just today, actually) since it’s winter and I will be lacking in winter-y clothes. I actually sold my trench coat from the latest Gmarket haul to my work colleague (because she’s tiny [in a "omg I wish I were your size" way] / a size 6) so I’m actually in need of a woollen jacket. I really wanted to get a poncho/ cape, but I’m not really too sure considering that there’s a great possibility that updraft wind would lead to losing body warmth due to poor insulation. I shall ponder on that, despite knowing that ponchos are definitely popping up all over Sydney (though I don’t know how long they’ll be in fashion for – for all I know, Ugly Betty tried to make it big, but it didn’t quite happen – that was a long time ago, too).

Bought a 1.9L hot water thermos for my mum. I remember going there about half a year ago with my mum and it was a whopping $97 or so – I stole grabbed it at $52. I don’t know why it’s so much cheaper than before :\ If anyone is interested, let me know and I’ll give you the whereabouts for it. The brand of the thermos is Tiger, which is one of the best Japanese brands for kitchen homewares.

So expensive your eyeballs will drop out of their sockets

I visited David Jones today because I was in a need of an extra pair of work shoes – everything is just too expensive. The discounted items (which look really ugly and aren’t in brand spanking new condition since they’ve been on display since yonks) were still over $400 after discount. FOUR CHUNKS OF MOOLAH. I also checked out the Marc Jacobs flats… $250 for synthetic leather. CRYING, SRSLY. Designer goods in Australia are way too expensive – that is all I have to say.

Previously on jewellery matters

So, I had a staff order for Thomas Sabo around 2 months ago – my charm didn’t arrive for a very long time due to it being on backorder. I am now pleased to announce it arrived about 2 weeks ago. Stunning, awesome, etc -

RRP Prices: Rose Quartz bracelet – $57AUD; Handbag Red Enamel Heart Charm – $119AUD

I’m glad I chose this charm because it really looks nice and it was better than what I had expected. The silver came very clean and white out of the packaging, so I was really pleased! No weird marks/ flaws like the earrings I ordered. YAY.

My biggest problem with Thomas Sabo products is that dun dun dun they get scratched. If you look very carefully at the silver lining along the side of the charm (not the handles, but the side of the handbag) the silver edge isn’t smooth – that’s because it was smooth, but after just a week of wearing the charm, the silver has scratched and warped. Admittedly it’s not such a big problem as the problem will be more on the edge of the charm (which there isn’t much silver on to begin with) than the handles, but you just really need to be careful with it. I think the worst part is that the edge is where the Thomas Sabo logo is engraved… now that it’s scratched you can barely see it clearly. That’s a bit sad, because the only part of the branding on the charm is now destroyed :\ I reckon it should have been engraved on the handles, since my handles are still in very good condition. Anyway, silver is a metal that is soft – please take care of it.

Because of this reason I honestly don’t recommend filling up the bracelet with the maximum three charms – I’ve just got one and I think that’s enough (I bought a large one so that I only needed one) – if you have more than one, they will pretty much hit each other and scratch each other.

My verdict on Thomas Sabo overall – it’s fun, they’ve got a lot of cute designs and designs to suit all ages. The price of a bracelet most probably will be cheaper than a Pandora bracelet (especially if you limit your charms) but take good care of your charms. The silver quality is quite good, but remember to check over your products carefully and often – they may require cleaning more often than you think.

And so I have finally also completed my Pandora bracelet. FINALLY.

I’ve been spending money building this bracelet for the past 2 months and now that it’s done I feel liberated since I don’t feel obliged to buy more, and it doesn’t bother me now since there are no gaps. I could be insane and say “TIME TO START A NEW ONE” – but seriously, no thanks, I’m done and I’m happy with it.

As you can tell, everything is still nice and silvery (I wear it daily – I no longer clean it daily with a cloth, but I do it at least twice a week) and in pretty good new condition. I don’t really want to scare anyone, but the RRP price of my completed bracelet is $1307AUD (it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure it out – just calculate/ find the beads on the Pandora catalogue and you’ll be able to calculate it – I’m just writing it here to save you all the trouble ;) ). It only struck me yesterday that it was the cost of a pretty decent Louis Vuitton bag and this is just made of silver and the random bit of 14 carat yellow gold. Holy crap. I could actually buy diamonds with that amount of money :S But oh well, I reckon the trend will soon be that everyone is going to own a Pandora bracelet at some stage of their life – so now that I’ve done and completed that I can move onto other things.

Don’t get me wrong though, I actually really really like my bracelet. I picked out all the beads that suit my theme, and beads I believe are nice or pretty/ cute – I also chose the ones that I believed were best value for money. It has a certain aesthetic that probably requires an acquired taste to appreciate, but it’s my bracelet and I know nobody else has the same one. Of course though, if you really liked my bracelet you could just copy the whole thing and thread it exactly the same order – no problem at all (though it’d be nice if you didn’t :P ). But anyway, my time with Pandora (or rather, spending money on Pandora) has come to an end. Now I can save up money to buy other stuff. YAY!

So that’s it for today’s post. Sorry it’s so boring and just mostly random stuff I’ve been buying and all – I just don’t really have anything really really exciting to share. Thanks to all those who have been visiting my at work, so a shout out to the archi peeps (again) and lovely members of the Lovigans <3

PS: Gmarket post will come whenever it arrives. Also – I put in another order for Sasa (I KNOW I SAID I WOULDN’T) – and voilá they are stocktaking once again – my order gets delayed by several weeks. This is blasphemy! GRRR. But then again I did it because there was something quite cheap that I wanted (well, cheaper than everywhere else anyway) – will update on that later… whenever it happens to arrive. Eurgh.

Pet Peeve 07: All for nothing – and how to (sort of) read a Chinese calendar

So you’re going to meet up with a friend. Perhaps you’re not meeting anyone – but you need to go out and do something. You wake up early, groom yourself. BB cream? Check. Filled in eyebrows? Check. Spritz of perfume? Check. You’re even wearing something nice so that you don’t look like you’ve just stumbled out of a jumping castle filled with zombies.

Suddenly your phone beeps – or perhaps you check the calendar. Your friend cancels on you/ your calendar forbids you to go.

All that effort wasted! So you change into your “at home clothes”, mumble and grumble, switch on your computer (or whatever you usually do to occupy time/ do work), annoyed at the BB cream on your face you don’t want to wash off, and at the lingering smell of your own fragrance, too overwhelming in your room at home.

Well, I’m sure everyone has felt this way before. I certainly have just experienced it today and I’m not a happy camper.

Rewind a bit – what do you mean by calendar?

Chinese people generally own one of these calendars, unless if they are using one of those larger ones that you rip off each month (imagine a wall calendar). Possibly Vietnamese and maybe Koreans use something similar – but I don’t really know.

Img src: http://dailyapple.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

For those who haven’t seen one, it looks fairly complex, and it is complex.

The top half of the calendar usually is just the date (number of the day) – in some cases, if it’s a festival or some particular day, there’ll be an illustration. On this example, it’s the ”big snow” (I don’t really know what this is but I’m assuming it’s probably either the first day or snow or a predicted very very snowy day – you get my gist anyway).

Down the bottom however, will be all of the stuff that is interesting and actually is of concern.

How to read one of these labyrinths

To be completely honest I don’t really know how to read it all that well – but I know how to read the bits that matter.

The format can be completely different depending on who publishes the calendar, but all the sections should be more or less named with the same headings. The boxes might shift.

First off, this is the easy bit. This is the lunar date of the day. On this calendar it is the 7th December 2006, but it’s actually October the 17th on the Chinese calendar.

Why is this important, you may ask? Well, it’s important for birthdays. If you want to check up a particular date in a fortune telling book, a lot of them would go by the Lunar date – this is why the Chinese (and pretty much a whole bunch of other Asian nationalities) tend to have two birthdays. Interesting fact – Chinese and Koreans have a Chinese or a Korean age, which is one year older than the one that appears on the birth certificate, since they count the time from since they were conceived. Makes us all just another year older. Sucks :( Haha – I kid.

This is the part I call “lucky hours” – I usually have arguments with my parents over this, but one hour (Chinese) is equivalent of TWO hours (Western). By this, I mean 120 minutes. My parents are adamant that one hour (Chinese) is one hour (undefined), but this calendar simply proves I am right.

To read this, you read this from top to bottom – strangely it goes from left to right. The first hour (23-01, which is 11pm to 1am) is UNLUCKY. You know it’s unlucky because of the character (looks like a square U with a cross in it). You don’t need to be able to know Chinese to know – you just need to recognise the character. The next hour, from 1am to 3am is lucky (the character has a box at the bottom, which is generally characteristic of a happy person’s mouth ready to eat). If you then look at 5am to 7am, it’s neither lucky or unlucky (characterised by the character “middle”, which is a box with a line right down the centre – so neither this or that).

Why is this important? Traditionally, people would get married within lucky time periods. Not only does the hour have to be lucky, the day has to be lucky too (which is actually fairly infrequent – it could be a month or so sometimes before a day is considered lucky – or it could be next week). Once it has passed (bride or groom fails to show up, other things happen along the way – whatever), it means it wasn’t meant to be.

In a modern day context you could interpret this as a good time to be meeting your client or something like that.

Lol, I named this “stuff you can do”. It literally is a section listing a bunch of activities which are okay to do during the day. This part you will need to know Chinese for – but on this day it’s okay to meet a friend, have a wedding, and wear new clothes. There are more, but I don’t want to translate them.

What is “stuff”? There’s generally a list of things like “getting a haircut”, “wearing new clothes”, “having a wedding”, “paying tribute to someone at a memorial”, “having a funeral”, “planting seeds for your crops” – these are all things considered to be significant changes in a Chinese context. They all need good or lucky days so that things supposedly go smoothly. The list actually isn’t that extensive – it is limited, but I think you know what I mean.

This is the section I named “stuff you can’t do” which is really self explanatory. You should avoid these activities because this day is NOT a good day to do them. I think (I can’t really read it because it’s a bit blurry and my translation might be off) on this day you can’t do hunting, do something to your roof or building/ house, or lay (or draw in) a net. Note that Chinese culture is largely agrarian, so a lot of these have to do with farming.

So what is my point?

I woke up, I had my breakfast, and as I was about to get dressed my mum was like “you’re not going to get your hair cut today are you?” – I said “of course I am!” and got dressed and prepared.

Then I went outside to look at the calendar and under both “stuff you can do” and “stuff you can’t do” it says “you shouldn’t do anything significant today”.

=_=

It’s my mum’s fault for not saying anything! Afterwards she was like “I thought you saw the calendar” – in response I said “I’m not that stupid – you should tell me next time, because it was a waste of my time”.

I hate it when I prepare and then find out I can’t do anything!!

But then again, for those who didn’t know how to read a Chinese calendar, you know now how to do so :)

Do you believe in it? Is it REALLY true?

I think there’s no harm in believing it. I think that if I follow the calendar it means I have less chance of screwing up things – but that’s only because I’m psychologically reassured of that. Whether or not you choose to believe in it is up to you – but I’d hate to think that if I got my hair cut on a day I shouldn’t have, it could reflect badly upon myself.

I have no idea how accurate these calendars are – possibly each different published calendar might even be different – I haven’t ever compared 2 calendars before, but I assume they’re all the same. As you know, there’s a lot of other stuff on the calendar I haven’t explained and they can be contributing factors to who these predictions would apply to more.

Or your friend cancels on you via a text message.

This will do too, lol.

That’s my pet peeve – comment sharing any similar experiences – by this I mean the friend cancelling via a text message – I hardly expect many of you to allow a calendar dictate what you should do lol.

Until next blog!

Mazel tov Monday

Saturday

I had a really bad start to the day

I won’t go into details, but I was feeling gloomy because I tried to look nice, then I saw someone wear the same dress as me :( And yeah – argh – it just ticked me off :(

I sat at Starbucks Coffee with yet another Tall Green Tea Frappucino to pass some time since Ramille weren’t going to be in the city until another 40 minutes or so – just when I was on the brink of despair they arrived and saved me – yay! (FYI there was a kid going “MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM” even though she wasn’t crying – she wasn’t even looking at her mum even! She did it out of boredom!! I was surprised that her mum didn’t really make an attempt to quieten her down – I kinda turned around to look at what kid was making the noise (mum pretended to hush the kid) but I spotted the mum was sitting at a table of 5 or so talking to her friends while the bored kid was just staring out the door onto the street, and probably absent mindedly making noise because of boredom >_< Uhm, I guess if I ever have kids, I’ll definitely not let my kid disrupt the peace and quiet of any public space…

We went to the Apple Store to see if there was this accessory for R‘s iPad, but alas it still wasn’t there.

However, there was something else awesome at the Apple Store.

What’s in the bag???

Ohhhh it was a temptation – I probably would have wanted them for myself – but alas I am saving and I don’t really use headphones :P I still need to sell my headphones… argh.

Dr Dre Beats headphones yo! In the special edition red!

Man, I’m one jealous girl lol, I really liked the headphones myself. I was seriously thinking that if these guys weren’t gonna get it, someone else we know should *cough*maybe me*cough* Haha! I kid :P  It’s a beautiful glossy red and the headphones fold up (compact storage) and all. Comes with a case and the quality is top notch since it’s in high definition sound and blocks out all the exterior noise!

I was going to post up the entire process of R opening the box and all – but I won’t put it up. You can read C‘s blog whenever she decides to update with the whole oohs and ahhs of the packaging :D It’s really nice. Just that box is to die for. Cuz I love boxes. Literally.

Lunch consisted of 6 chicken nuggets at McDonald’s; I know it’s not the healthiest, but I didn’t feel like eating anything else.

P came and then we all decided to head off to our destination today – Luna Park!

Luna Park

I’ve never been to Luna Park before, so this was my first time. I seriously thought that it would be situated on an island though since the ads were deceptive – but instead it’s just in Milson’s Point lolol wut.

Seriously, this is one heck of a playground. PS: the architecture here is pretty awful, lolololol.

It’s just 2 train stations away from Town Hall, and the walk is 5-10 minutes away from the station. There are lots of rides and stuff there, but to be honest, it wasn’t really my thing. I guess the theme park just wasn’t large enough? I didn’t go on the rides either – I figured that since I get motion sickness it wasn’t a good idea. I also spent extra time this morning to get my hair painstakingly perfectly straight, and didn’t want it messed up :P But no, seriously, I got dizzy just watching the rides spin – imagine me being on it :O

I was saying how horrible Luna Park actually looked – I’m sure most of you would agree it’s not the prettiest thing in the world. There were these expensive harbourside apartments overlooking the water… but in between the water and the apartments sits Luna Park =_= I guess it’s alright – looks beautiful at night.

Very beautiful indeed. But I also meant that Luna Park looked beautiful at night lol.

I did go on one ride though thanks to P‘s pass – the Merry-go-round! The last time I went on one, I can’t even remember; I used to go every weekend to the one at Darling Harbour. I think there’s just something really magical about the thing. I think the horses are so pretty, lol.

Okay, I didn’t watermark this photo because it’s not as awesome as it could be due to said pole in the foreground on the left – I swear I didn’t intentionally make it look like it was spinning at 100km/hr – seriously! ;)

Unfortunately though, even though I’m now getting old, the Merry-go-round seemed to be spinning way too fast and I was actually too scared to get off my horse, while C hopped off her horse to a rooster – then to the back to the carriage and then the swan >_< Every time I turned around she was on a different object, lol! Let’s just say I’m really not too good with the spinning things and things where balance plays a part – >_<!

I captured some really cool shots from Luna Park though – I was playing with my camera settings and all. R showed me how to do the night shots (which I kinda forgot/ didn’t really know how to do hehe) and awesome! I had lots of fun doing that :D

I FINALLY MANAGED TO DRAW HEARTS! I’ve been trying for a while, but I’ve gotten there now.

I think after this I’m going to not only dump my photos onto Tumblr – I might post them up on Flickr? I dunno. Seemed like a good idea until I tried to retrieve my Yahoo ID which has consequently expired after me not using it for years :S

I just really am proud of this set of photos okay – reminds me of those old black and white newspaper shots – something quite eerie about them. Unphotoshopped, by the way – only added text and cropped.

This was the second last ride the wild ones went on. It’s like a swing, and you’re lifted off – then the thing starts spinning so you’re kinda thrown to one side (outwards of course). Warning – you may get a wedgie so try not to ride this if you’re wearing a short skirt or a dress or something lol.

We left Luna Park at around 7pm and headed back to the city for dinner.

Anyway – so much for taking photos – the wild ones went for the rides!! :P Hahaha <3

PS: I have a lot more photos from the day, but they either didn’t turn out as nicely as I hoped, or most of them looked the same (ie. all of them were of the ferris wheel, and ferris wheel is pretty).

Yi Jia Chinese BBQ

- Dixon No. 1, Dixon Street, Sydney. (…or at least I think that was the name of the place)

Mmmmm – I wasn’t really sure of what to expect from this place, but we walk past it all the time and eat at ROLL+ instead, but we decided to try it out.

You add oil to the pan and you order meat – my suggestion is to have each person pick a meat, and everyone should have a bowl of rice, as well as a drink.

We didn’t have a drink – but we should do it if we go again!

We tried: Black Pepper Beef ribs, Yi Jia Special lamb, Pork Belly and the Honey ?? Chicken Wings. + Sweet Chilli sauce and Teriyaki Sauce ($1/ sauce) – apparently the chilli sauce was too hot, but everyone seemed to like the teriyaki sauce a lot.

The beef was really chewy, so that wasn’t that great – but the others were soooo awesome. I’m particularly impressed with the lamb because it doesn’t really taste like lamb – we later asked for another plate of it because it was really good! If you try the special lamb, I suggest you sprinkle some salt onto it when you cook it – it makes it a lot tastier because it’s not really marinated :D

Left: pork belly; Right: Honey Chicken Wings

The pork belly was yummy – the wings were really hard to cook though – we had to cut each wing into half (separate it into the two separate bones) and then put the meat down (not skin) onto the pan. Apart from that, the wings were HAIRY?? They didn’t clean/ pluck the wings properly >_< But you can just peel the skin off. Otherwise the chicken tasted pretty good.

All up for the 4 of us it was $48.50! That’s rockin’! We each had rice too, so I’m fairly impressed and I would probably go back since that place wasn’t too bad.

Of course, with all BBQs, there’s the problem of the smell – my hair and everything smells like BBQ at the moment. MMMM smells good/ yummy, but keep this in mind if you don’t want to smell like food afterwards!

All in all, I had a great day guys, even though it started pretty crap!

Interlude: Music Video which plays mind games on me

Sorry I am too lazy have trouble embedding this video – it’s SHINee’s Lucifer MV.

http://www.youtube.com/v/Dww9UjJ4Dt8?fs=1

I’ve been trying to catch up on video clips – and I must say I’m not really a follower of SHINee – however I really admire their skill and talent because I’ve seen them perform live – they dance like robots and they sound almost exactly the same as the track when they perform live.

This song however completely confuses me beyond words – how can every single damn verse sound so different? If I’m correct there are 2 sets of “verses” that sound similar, but they’re not really. Some verses get extended longer and longer – D: I’m just like… “?!?!?!”

I really applaud them for having such different sounding verses every verse, so much variety shoved into the song, and then not only that, the dance is so complex that it changes and it’s just so mesmerising to watch. It’s one of the songs I think you could replay over and over without getting sick of because you finish listening to it and you think “… how did that part go again?” *replay* – seriously.

It’s really mind boggling.

On a side note, they made Minho really pretty lol. I think that hair suits him a lot :P

Sunday

My chillax day. I can’t really remember what I did – though I did a lot of photo processing – oh, and for those who wonder how I can afford to make Monday posts so damn long and detailed (not to mention, they’re getting better, aren’t they? ;) ) it’s because I’m starting to draft my posts up. I would have done it ages ago, but once I wrote a draft for a competition and then wordpress published it for me without me realising – a few people got the post in their email, so that really sucked. Had to do it again >_< So yeah, don’t draft things that are meant to be confidential, or announcements as such D:

For those who have noticed the changes in my side bar, I’ve now made a Flickr account: http://www.flickr.com/kuroimisa – there’s nothing much on there so far. I think I’ll slowly build it up and start posting photos taken by my camera that I like. If you like, give me some love on Flickr – :P

Did I have the resolve to do skipping etc? No, I didn’t – I stayed at home :\ However, I did do an hour of hula hooping. Then I indulged in Jdrama until 1am in the morning.

Monday

…and the weight is…

I’m sorry guys >_< I know some people might visit on Mondays just to read this section but I’ve failed you all again by not weighing and measuring myself this week. I’m currently buckling over/ writhing in pain. It’s past noon and I’m still in my pyjamas.

On the up note though – I might be able to try out some Zumba lessons (omgwtfbbqyay??) – I still need to enrol in dance lessons *throws M a glance* – and I need to start skipping. Eurgh. Either way I promise a weighing and measure next week. PROMISE!

Awesome things possibly planned for this week:

  • I’m going to maybe have icecream this week :D But for those who have got time, Sydneysiders and Melbournians – FREE ICECREAM AT BASKIN ROBBINS for Katy Perry day – this Friday 20th August at Baskin Robbins from 4:30pm-6pm (I think that’s the end time anyway). You need to mention Katy’s name for free icecream! I know there’s no way I’ll even be able to battle the long line, so we’ve decided we’re just gonna go BUY the icecream. Not like it’s that expensive anyway (lol that and we can’t be bothered waiting, and because it means I have to jig half an hour of class to go) - but if you’re free and want free icecream around that time, go for it!
  • Maybe a shoot. Maybe. No promises.
  • I’ll be posting up a drama review.
  • And I’ll keep y’all entertained somehow.

Thanks for reading this week’s instalment – thanks for the comments and questions – keep them coming, even if they’re about Zipia or Gmarket – I can answer them. Always make sure to post with a valid email because I tend to usually email you the reply as well in case if you don’t check back. Until then, be safe, keep warm and enjoy the last month of winter!

PS: If anyone was wondering about Gmarket, no, they still haven’t given my voucher. It’s because they forgot to. I’m just going to wait until next month and pester them again - usually they give you the voucher before they announce the winners (or it happens at the same time anyway). Argh.

Adios amigas/amigos!

Freaky Fridays

General updates on life

My flyers were printed some time this week – yay! Cannot wait to see them.

Friday is definitely my most hated but favourite day of the week – it means the weekend is soon, but it means design is on.

Wednesday

As you may or may not have noticed it’s almost a trend for me to go out somewhere on a Wednesday – it has been two (or was it three?) weeks without fail (most probably 2) but this week disgruntlement etcetera etcetera entailed and a whole bunch of rage/quit furballs were being spat.

Wasted a day at home, but hey, it’s Wednesday; why not?

Thursday

The sky was beautiful.

Thursday was the “deadline” for the magazine ad I was designing. Unfortunately we weren’t really too sure on what was needed, and we were under the impression that we had a space where we could do whatever we liked. Turns out the magazine wanted a somewhat billboard style ad (large image, typography, little text) – so I just had to make up one from scratch. Didn’t take too long, looks okay for its purpose, but I feel that it could have been better. If only we had more time? Or perhaps if only they allowed us to not be so stripped back in terms of graphic approach.

Either way, I won’t show you the original ad (in case if we can reuse it one day – though I doubt it), and I’ll post up the final ad when it’s published in the magazines. Keep an eye out for it!

Friday

I really hate Fridays up until 5pm because usually it means I’m super lost and have no idea what’s going on.

My lunch was a small Thai chicken noodle salad – with no chicken in it :( She didn’t get any of the chicken which was laid on top – sigh.

I was stressed because I knew I was very behind that I barely ate half of it and worked and worked and thought about it.

Sorry it’s so big…

I even got a papercut. I tried to like, not have the cut look so clear? But my camera is just too crisp and captured the teeniest bit of detail. I’m sorry if that put anyone off. I tried my best to cover it lol. But as most of you know, papercuts aren’t too bad – it just looks bad, because of where it is cut as well.

I reckon papercuts are the most useless injury ever – they’re pretty stupid. But anyway, it does hurt because it’s in a sensitive-ish area (you know when sometimes you get the skin peeling upwards and it hurts???). I was feeling a bit anxious at this point – not doing well with design, AND a papercut! And sorry for my chipped polish lol. It’s been a few days already :P

Luckily though, my design seems “do-able” and I feel a lot more at ease because I’ve considered a lot of problems already (it’s something I tend to do all the time), so I just need to continue to develop it. At least I’m on the right track, so that’s good!

I had “dessert” at a place at Kingsford after class with my classmates at a place called the Mochi Dessert Cafe or whatever it’s called and the stuff there is absolutely disgusting. Do NOT go there. Waste of money and the food comes slow (I intentionally ordered a ready made mochi so that it would be served to me really quickly so I could start eating it – that way when I get home I won’t feel too stuffed to eat dinner – but it came AFTER the others’ stuff. I waited about 7-10 minutes for a mochi in a glass window to be plated up and served to me. It should in reality take 3 minutes tops!). My friends had some random number mochi (number 2 perhaps) – one cold, one hot – and apparently it was really sweet and pretty gross. I had a strawberry green tea – it was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever drank – so bad that I didn’t even make it to 25%. I left my drink, 75% full on the table. That’s how gross it was. The place is cramped and they play really awful music. Call me slack, but I absolutely cannot wait until that place is gone. It’ll be for the better.

So now here I am.

Zipia (Korean “wholesale” fashion) or Japanese brands?

So, I logged onto Zipia in eons the other day. I had noticed a few changes – they now tell you what products that are going to be in stock soon, which is really awesome.

Another thing I noticed was how ridiculously expensive Zipia has become.

One Zipia order, I bought a jacket and I remember it being $47, because it was probably the most expensive thing in my order. I check the site and it’s now $50.

You might not think this is a lot – and you’re right, because by clothing price standards it’s not bad – but the $300 minimum thing, PLUS you need to pay shipping – a few dollars per item adds up. Instead of the average 15 items (not all clothes, includes accessories and whatnot) for a barely $300 order (plus about $100 shipping – USD), you’ll only probably end up with maybe, 11, 12 items? That’s not particularly good value for my money.

Oh yes, and not to mention, the items you get from Zipia are pricey anyway ($30-$50 or even more for a dress) and you don’t even get a brand for it – a Korean brand, but I don’t know any of them (it’s not like Cherrykoko, Sechuna, Dodostyle or anything). Probably none of them large enough to own their own boutiques, in my opinion.

Lately I’ve really been contemplating on investing in a bunch of really sweet candy dresses – they’re probably too dressy for every day wear, but they are great for special occasions (like for example, attending an engagement, or a wedding). I know that my wardrobe largely lacks in light coloured clothing (I mostly wear blacks, greys, dark blues) and dresses. FYI, I own about 10 dresses or less – probably about 7 of them are black. That’s not really that great.

Rewind a bit for the anime conventions and my online researching of costumes and stuff – I suddenly really like lolita dresses for the fact that they are just simply so cute and adorable. People generally don’t wear them too often. I can’t pull it off probably, but I’d like to just own a select few (nothing too over the top).

Rewind a few years back, I used to really read Japanese magazines (trust me, I used to buy them lol – in fact I should probably go back into the habit of doing so) – I loved Japanese fashion and their clothes. Pricey and unavailable to international consumers, they were merely just a dream to me for that “one day when I go to Japan…” trip which may or may not happen. (My dad is 120% against me going to Japan. If I go, I’m not going to tell him where I’m going!)

I debated on whether or not the prices here in the Sydney boutiques were better than ordering online, since you could try the item on and test it out before you invested in something so pricey. By pricey, we’re talking hundreds – preferably high $100s, $200s, up to $300 >_< I honestly do not think it’s worth it, so I started doing my research.

Beware of ebay when it comes to Japanese Vivi fashion – a lot of them state “vivi style”. It’s okay if you are after the style and something cheapish, but if you want a particular dress, I suggest you try your ultimate best and hardest to find out the brand and buy the genuine article. I looked at a lot of the genuine listings and they’re not priced too badly – they’re about $60 shipped per dress, which is a measly fraction of what the boutiques charge here.

Unfortunately/ fortunately for me, I fell in love with a floral sundress – while it wasn’t too pricey, the price tag was at $85AUD plus shipping and a 5% paypal fee – it wasn’t even an overcomplicated dress either. It was relatively simple - one that you could wear to the beach or wear to the park or out shopping. It was one of those that I really wanted, but that much for a dress? I’ve paid more, but the dress was a Sass and Bide! Lucky me, I found the exact same dress somewhere else but for a fraction of the price – guaranteed authentic, complete with tags :D $45AUD shipped yo! I cannot wait until I receive it! I’ll definitely blog about it and review the dress.

At this point of time, $45AUD shipped for a Japanese boutique branded dress (a popular brand in Japan too) compared to a similar priced dress from Zipia – hmmm. At this point of time I’m thinking the Japanese option is better value for money. Will only be able to tell when I get it :D Should be mailed to me tomorrow <3 Arghhhh I cannot wait!

Gmarket – where’s my moolah?

I’ve won the August Top Bloggers again, and usually they give me a gift certificate without fail. For some reason, this time round they haven’t given me one – they sorta… skipped me. Customer service this time hasn’t answered my question (I think someone who didn’t really know what I was asking answered it). I really do hope they give me a gift certificate… if not I might have to email ._. I shot them another question (under a different category) and I’m hoping someone else who knows what I’m talking about will answer me.

Seriously, I was wondering… I kept checking my mail and got nothing, but my latest Gmarket post was getting hits. Then when I checked the site, I had won it, so I wasn’t imagining it.

EDIT/ I just got the reply from Customer Service and I should be receiving it some time – if not, I’ll need to contact them later. That’s alright :)

Plans for the weekend

Glorious shooting, lots and lots of fun.

On Sunday I’m going to aim to do a lot of self-improving – yes, by that I mean visiting a church and also finally starting skipping rope (for 30 minutes or so). I’m not sure if I have the resolve to do either of them, but I hope that I can complete them both.

But anyway – yeah – hopefully I’m going to be productive this weekend, and there’s a lot for me next week! I’m going to enjoy my Friday night as it is and, well, I’ll be back with probably a photograph filled Mazel tov Monday :)

I think I’ll be posting up my Gakkenflex “bling” next week, and stats on my new camera the week after.

Until then, I am also craving to buy something from LV. Fashion related. OOOOH SHOULD I OR SHOULD I NOT?? Should stop burning holes in my pocket yo :)

Until next blog!

Mazel tov Monday

So, I’m back after the weekend – I’m hoping to make this the best post possible for your reading leisure. :)

ATTEMPT#1: GET INTO SMASH! 2010 ENTRY – FAILED.

Well by the time I got to the city, the tickets were all sold out :( I have no idea how an event like Smash! would possibly sell out (considering you’d think that the general idea is that they’d want to sell as many tickets as possible to generate the highest amount of revenue possible…) but it did. This year it was held at Town Hall, and I couldn’t get in even though I really wanted to :( Next time, perhaps?

I didn’t take any photos because of obvious reasons; I would have gone nuts though if I had a ticket to go inside >_<

I was always wondering the possibility of 2 people turning up to an anime convention wearing the same costume – I saw 2 people cosplaying as Miku from Vocaloid at the very least (actually, I didn’t see them in person – I saw one, then I saw photos of another – I knew it was a different person because the dress was different :\) – so uhm yeah. I guess sometimes it’s not a good idea to dress up as anything too common :P

Instead, had lunch at Ton Ton, did lots of shopping (window shopping), failed miserably at skill testers but won some lollies instead.

Red Skins! I haven’t seen these for a while. I was lucky because I got 2 of these in one go. Then I got a minty the next lol. I sucked at the machine – oh well – lollies :P Expensive =_= But meh who cares :P

Before that though, R saw the Kara boxset for sale at the local DVD store – C came out and surprised me by handing me a roll!

With every purchase of a CD you can get a poster if you add $2 ^^;; This was a pleasant surprise – but of course, it wasn’t really a surprise what the poster was :P

It’s T.O.P!!

Thanks so much <3 <3 <3

The poster was printed on slightly heavier bond paper and it was A3 – lol – I’ll print you guys a poster next time I see you ;)

I put this photo up hoping to get the Kara boxset (you can kinda see the roll – well maybe not) – I like the photo though! No photoshop. R‘s awesome shoes yo lol. And don’t try smoking kids! ;)

And then that was the day actually – I find it hard to find anything to do in the city which is interesting lol.

But here’s a random photo/ portraiture of the week:

Zipia blazer, military style dress, black opaque leggings (also from Zipia), brown wedge boots by Zu Shoes.

This photo was taken by the lovely C! Uhm – I’m not doing the Sorry Sorry dance where they go dan dan dan da dan dan da dan dan! part -  it looks like it though /fail. Lol – it was a pose I was told to do :P

I finally managed to get my hair curls to hold! It was because after all these years (like what, 4?) that I never turned my hair iron hot enough – LOL. Either way Remington sucks – once mine breaks down I’m definitely getting a GHD.

Also on second thoughts, I’m slimmer than I thought I was. Hmm.

Nails of the Week

OMG FINALLY \o/

I’ve been highly uninspired and was never convinced my nails were long enough to do them again. It largely had to do with my painting nails every single week for about 2 months straight. I have fairly strong nails, but they seemed weakened, so I stopped. Then I also had the theory that if I had pretty nails I’d be less inclined to want to do work.

I got a bit bored and felt like I wasn’t doing anything, so I decided to paint them. Heheh.

I’ve been really obsessed with lace lately (there’ll be another post coming soon on lace) so I decided to do a lace theme on my nails. This is a lazy inspired diagonal lace french tip with glitter on the very tips. The thumb however has the lace going along the centre. I used a base coat, Konad special polish in white (and I think the template is m57 – I’m too lazy to go check up on it though, but it’s one of the lace ones, any will do – I just felt like using this one), 2-3 top coats of Konad top coat/ clear polish, and then some cheapo glitter chunk polish on the end. The other hand is the same but inverted.

Apart from that I started to watch Three Kingdoms the drama and so far it’s like D:!!! Lol. It’s just very cliffhangerish :P

Missha PROVICE Inner Cure Serum Hair Treatment

I’m not going to include a picture or a photo – you can search it up. The main reason why I’m not putting it up is because I wanted to blog about the awareness of having a treatment as opposed to not having one.

The Missha PROVICE range has long been discontinued. I spent over $400 at Missha to get $20 store credit (I know, this is how die hard I was back when I was just 19 years old) and with that I got a bottle of the Inner Cure Serum. There are olive extracts and other awesome things that claim to rejuvenate your hair.

The good thing about it is that it works. Doesn’t really leave your hair oily, smells good, is light  and the price isn’t too bad – it was $14.95 for a 100ml bottle (which I redeemed with my store credit).

The bad things included the pump bottle (means you can’t get all the product out unless you hack the bottle with a saw), leaves a slight residue (my hair feels a little bit heavier – and I’m not sure if it’s the moisture being inserted into my hair or if it’s product sitting on top of it, but yes it is softer) and you need quite a few pumps for this to make any difference, especially if you have long and thick hair like I do.

Missha hair products are really not bad. I’ve tried their shampoo and it’s pretty good.

My message is though, you might not think about your hair that much because it looks good when you straighten it with heating instruments, but doing hair treatments is essential! I use the WHITE Shiseido Tsubaki hair treatment but that’s not enough once I rinse it out of my hair (it’s like conditioner) – having something like the Missha serum will benefit your hair in the long term (you put this treatment in damp hair before you dry your hair completely).

There are plenty of hair masks – for Asians, vinegar substantially helps your hair. Egg masks, avocado, olive oil – even hot oil treatments.

I’ve never had a treatment done at a salon, and I’m thinking I probably should. For the meantime though, I encourage you all to invest in a hair treatment product – I actually really care for my hair, but I don’t care for it quite enough!

… and the weight is…

Uhm, well, unfortunately for you guys, I kinda forgot to weigh myself this morning.

I woke up and knew I had to measure myself and weigh myself, but as soon as I walked into the living room I saw an empty bowl with a spoon in it, and a bag of cereal beside it – and I just thought it was breakfast time. Started eating and after I finished I was like “ARGH I FORGOT TO WEIGH MYSELF”. My mum told me to weigh myself anyway, and I gained just 100 grams to last week’s weighing with food. I’m assuming a bowl of cereal is about 250g, so I didn’t actually gain any weight – I will however weigh myself next week LOL – silly of me. Sorry guys.

Banking blues

Uhm, I don’t think I’ll ever open an account with ANZ. We got a letter fairly late for our term deposit so we couldn’t renew it on time. Unlike in the ads how they help you and everything all the bank manager said was “oh the grace period is over, there’s nothing we can do.”

If anyone works at ANZ or intends to work there – do me a favour and change the STUPID “you have a 7 day grace period to make any changes” to say “5 business days” instead???

It looks like it’s generous being “7 days” but the banks don’t really operate on weekends, so it’s just pointless. And even though they were supposed to send us a letter 2 weeks in advance, we didn’t get that one – the bank just didn’t want to take any responsibility whatsoever and blamed it either on the mailing system or for us not keeping track of our accounts. I mean yeah, okay, but think about old people who are just forgetful…? It’s not like we intentionally skipped it – when we got the letter it was Friday 4:30pm after the bank closed! Argh. I’m not happy either way.

New photoshooting location!

Seems like my friend has found another awesome place to go shoot at. Will see if we can go some time later this week lol. I would have went with him, but I was hungry and went home. I didn’t tell him that, of course :x Hopefully I’ll have a day to go. I’m excited – it’s really close to where I live! According to him, he said that the place is “fantastic” – and if that is coming from him, most likely it is. He rarely gives compliments >_> But I’ll try to get some work done in the next day or two lol. I really need to get working o_o That’s not gonna help with me getting 13.5gb of videos today though -  J-DORAMA HERE I COME.

Rapidfire random stuff about me lately:

  • I’m doing fine and I’m well.
  • I just got some money – YAY! Unfortunately most of that goes back to paying myself back (this is ridiculous – at the beginning of the year I wanted to save $2000 and I’m sure I need to save maybe $5000 to save my own ass at this rate :( )
  • The charity flyer is going well and I’m surprised because I think at this moment in time the flyers have been printed – I’m going to design (or rather rework the existing one) into a magazine ad!
  • I really need to get a job lol. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. I’m only interested in doing one day per week, which is the funniest part of the equation.
  • Scrap that, I need a resume first.
  • The replacement memory card should be coming soon – by that I mean they’ve finally processed my form, but they haven’t dispatched it.
  • I really want to bake some cookies.
  • I am craving Sweet Chilli and Sour Cream Red Rock Deli gourmet chips (trust me, these are the best)
  • Need to find a Chinese community Christian church in the city - so far I’ve got the one in Surry Hills (it’s a Presbyterian one). Does anyone know of any others? It has to be in the city though, because that’s the closest to me (unless if you know anything very close to that). I would like to go maybe a few Sundays just to sit and listen to their service.
  • WTF ANIMANIA TICKETS ARE $35??? RIP OFF OR WHAT? Screw that – I don’t think I wanna go. That’s too expensive! I can get a haircut!

Sorry this post is so disorganised, long and choppy – but I hope you all enjoyed your weekly Monday read! Have a great start to the week (uhh okay I’m a day late, but whatever :P ) – until next blog!

Mazel tov

On both Saturday and Sunday I met up with Ramille but on Sunday we were also accompanied by M and B!

Keep reading this entry for the “… and the weight is…”  section :)

Saturday

Lunch at Milliore, Capitol Square. Spicy Chicken (with rice) was what I ordered – lunch special at $9.90AUD. It was spicy even though there wasn’t a single chilli seed in sight D: Later on that night though I did not feel too good – I kinda overate (it was lunch at like 2:45pm) but on the upside, C and I learned how to play the pachinko machines up at Capitol.

I like how they blurred it for censorship purposes.
Img src: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pachinko (go here to read more about Pachinko).

I knew about pachinko machines ages ago back in high school and from watching Japanese drama, but I have no idea how they really work. In a sense it’s like a pinball machine but you can only control one knob (the one where the hand is on the photo). The pins don’t move. Once a ball goes into the right slot, the screen starts to move like a pokie machine and you need triple of the same thing to get a heck of a lot of bonus points and win something. Therefore the more balls that go inside the more chance you have of the pokie part getting a perfect match. A bit like how people play pokie machines just to wait until the computer gives them the jackpot, if you know what I mean.

A random passerby told me how to play the game and then it suddenly dawned on me how the system worked. I started off with 100 credits and somehow ended up with 180 at one stage – then it all went down from there on lol.

I got myself a Hello Kitty mat for $15!

I spend a ridiculous amount of time at my desk so currently I’m just using it for my desk. I’m thinking of putting it next to my bed so that I can stand near my table without getting cold, but I’ll think about it later.

To be honest I can’t really remember what we really did after that. We sort of browsed around and then that was about it. When I got home I started to feel sick from overeating lunch, so I skipped dinner.

Then I played Left 4 Dead 2 on Steam with R and B which you could read about here. I still cannot get over the fact that I was shooting B instead of helping him up. Apparently the keys did work – and he was getting up. Unfortunately I was lagging and couldn’t see it, so I panicked and then shot him repeatedly about 6 times OTL Failsauce is fail.

But I did kill ONE special zombie :D First time yo! I’ve never played first person dizzy look all over the place mouse control thingy game before :)

Sunday

Raining. Used the umbrella I got from Duchess at Melbourne Central :D Cuteness explosion! I felt really self conscious using it though - bright pink and covered with love hearts – hrmm. Maybe it wasn’t a good idea after all. As we stopped at the cinemas to wait for M a guy came up to us and was like “those umbrellas are cute aren’t they?” or something like that. We all got a bit creeped out (R had just left us to go buy something D: omona) and all we could do was say “yes, they are” and my generic response was “thank you~!” - then he left o.o

KOWAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII T___T

For more information visit www.larenaissance.com.au

M bought R and I each a pack of assorted macarons :D Thanks! She went all the way to The Rocks just to get them. YUMMY D: <3 <3 <3

Well, we all had lunch at Poporo at Market City and I must say their Poporo salad is awesome XD The grilled chicken was really nice (crispy on the outside but oh so low in fat <3) – I also got a Green Tea Latte soft float and it came with an umbrella on top :D I would have taken a photo (it was really picture perfect indeed) but I thought that I’d look funny doing it, so I stopped lol.

We were supposed to go shooting! But it was raining and people just couldn’t make it out ;-;

Went to Paddy’s Markets (R got a new iPad – hohohoho jealous much people?? – and had to get a screen protector for it) and then went to Capitol.

There are some really rude people in the city these days! I guess that’s one thing I miss about Melbourne - less obnoxious people to some extent. We were standing outside Capitol on Saturday and as soon as these two guys started coming our way this guy started to sing and as he passed us he was like “that’s a nice bum”  or something like that – that is, until he noticed R standing there giving him a death glare. Then on Sunday this woman was like “tsk as if stand in the middle of the footpath!” – she didn’t even have the decency to say “excuse me” or perhaps walk around the other way. There was plenty of space. Footpath was about 4m wide yo – make your own way around! RUDE!

Played pachinko again. A guy at Capitol told us that he spent $15 just to win 2 capsules (one containing 20 points, the other with a small toy inside) and that was a waste of time. Indeed, it probably was a waste of time lol, but it’s really just a bit of fun and seeing how the machine works. Hey, at least I know how to play! I’m not good at it, but still, it was worth a try :) C got his two capsules for free! Lol, what a kind fellow :D That’s when we realised getting balls into the slot was useless unless the pokie part gave you the right combo. Sad!

And since we were at Capitol anyway we just sat down at Passionflower for dessert/ a snack. Next time if I go, I’m going for lunch.

I ordered the Eastern sunrise but for some reason it wasn’t available. I don’t know why it wasn’t – the girl told us no fresh strawberries or oranges but they could have easily substituted the orange with something else or left it out. I wasn’t too fussed, and instead she told me they had Western Sunrise which I said okay to but thoroughly regret ordering. Biggest waste of $14 :(

Picture perfect, but there’s a HUGE difference between sticky rice ball, taro and green tea icecream (or whatever it was on the Eastern Sunrise) and vanilla, strawberry and chocolate icecream. I really dislike chocolate, especially in big amounts like such. In fact, I didn’t even touch the entire ball of chocolate icecream much – I left about 95% of what they gave me melting on the plate as I left. The star shaped cone/ waffle bowl was innovative but it tasted like a subtly sweet version of Grain Waves but very flourey in the centre. Despite all that though, I do love vanilla icecream and the strawberry icecream was great. The bananas weren’t really that great, and I didn’t use the chocolate dipping sauce at all. It wasn’t a total disaster, but I guess I used my money on something I didn’t even want to eat.

And – I did it again – I ate too much. I got home and had to skip dinner once again. The upside was that my mum wanted to make curry puffs so I made them for her last night. I made 63 of them! I had an early night and that was my Sunday.

… and the weight is…

I did 3 hula hoop sessions only this week. I skipped it on a few days because I was out and about and felt I didn’t need to do that extra bit of exercise, or I was just tired and had no energy (it’s not a good idea to hoop when you’re skipping dinner yeah).

I feel like my legs are finally getting slimmer - I think my body is starting to realise that it’s time to move onto other bigger and better areas LOL YAY! \o/

I measured myself today – waist lost that 0.25″ – I’m now currently at 27″. For those who are curious as to how I measure I just measure it right around. I don’t do the belly button thing. That’s not my waist – that’s  BELOW my waist.

I measured my thighs and I lost an entire cm :’D My calves lost half a cm.

Stepped on the scales and was delighted to have lost 0.7kg – my BMI is now currently 20.5. BAH I lost almost a kg and the BMI only drops by 0.2 – but oh well, let’s see how long I keep this up for. I still have yet to enrol in dance classes and invest in a skipping rope. Damn!

But I do feel a lot better about myself. Tiny goals step by step – I’ll do it until I think the measurements look right and until my BMI maybe drops to about 19 (I decided that 18 is underweight and not good). Then I’ll make some plans to maintain the measurements and weight – realistic, yes? Hopefully my arms will decrease in size too – but I’ll do some weight lifting for that every now and then (I do it sometimes now even, I lift 5kg dumbells).

For those who have lost track on how long I’ve been doing this for, it’s been about 3 months only lol. I still haven’t reached my 5kg weight loss target, but it’s getting so close – I can almost touch it…

Again, the moral of the story is to not starve yourself. Look at all that icecream and the food I’ve been posting up. Not the healthiest to say the least, but I am still losing weight due to an active lifestyle – and by active I mean doing stuff to burn off more calories you are taking in. Keep it simple and keep it under control – don’t go nuts and change too many things at once.

I think that’s the end of this post for me. I’ll write about the Lifecella eye sheet masks next (unless something life-breakingly awesome happens in the next 24 hours I must blog about pops up). Cheerios!

Mazeltov of the week

Sorry these posts get shorter and shorter, worse and worse by the week. I survived on just 6 hours sleep in 48 hours on Friday and Saturday. I probably looked like crap on Saturday (didn’t help with zero makeup), but I think I am looking a bit sharper tonight since I had 8 hours’ sleep.

Friday

Design. I don’t want to talk about it and I don’t want to think about it. I think I will keep my thoughts to myself.

Gmarket #4 Arrived

I’ll write about it in a separate post. DAMN IT. I took a photo of the stuff I bought and then BAM. GONE. Because I no longer have my camera.

I also hope that they delete all my photos from the memory card… I don’t tend to take photos of my room or anything, but I am worried because I do take photos of the things I buy. DAMN IT. Mostly petty things though. Most of the photos were blog photos or photoshoot ones. I rarely took photos of myself so it’s alright I guess.

—–

However, the highlight of Friday had nothing to do with design, it had to do with this party:

OMAGAH. A CLUB THAT PLAYS KPOP.

We just had to go! It was R’s birthday and we just all had to go and use that as a reason to go celebrate. And it was just to go clubbing!

I’ve never clubbed in my whole life, so it was a new experience for me. I had no idea the guy at the door was asking me for my hand to stamp it, so I must have either looked really dumb or really tipsy. Not sure which one is better, but at least it’s all good. Plus we mostly got free entry before 11pm, so that helped.

—–

We went to LIVE first to have some noraebang (that is, karaoke lololol – I made it sound like a drug or something).  The counter girl kindly gave us more time since we were there for just an hour, but we needed to head out and go clubbing. I think I’m getting better at singing How Gee! YUS.

—–

We walked perhaps 15 minutes to the clubbing place and when we got there, there was a line outside. Fairly short line, perhaps with 20 people in line, and we got in after maybe 7 minutes or so.

The interior of Slide is really nice. The only problem was that being the way it was, it’s a fairly narrow and small space. When we got there the place was empty, and there was nobody on stage. Slowly though, people started getting up to dance and it was really enjoyable – until we saw girls being felt up and all. Hmm.

For some reason I was given a midori/lemonade, had some yummy creamy shotglass thing I never caught the name of, and also a coke/bourbon from D. I also had soju and I think lift just earlier on. I didn’t have dinner (dinner was 5 KFC chicken bits) and I had so little sleep (3 hours). The good thing was that because it’s clubbing and makeup is a given, I don’t think I was that red, and dancing it off helped. I’m fairly sure I was tipsy because my head was spinning a bit and I was losing balance quite a bit even when I tried to step to the side or lift a leg up. I remember not even seeing where I was going properly when I headed up the stairs to grab my jacket from the cloak room.

I think we all had the most fun when the Korean music started playing, and we all did the dances to mostly 2NE1 songs, 2PM’s Again and again. They didn’t play Bo peep though :( And a whole bunch of awesome songs. Sad.

Our circle was crashed early on in the night when two guys danced through and were trying to hit on C and J. Luckily the guys were outside smoking or those two guys would have been seriously messsed up >_<

M and I decided to go to the toilet early in the night, which was surprisingly clean. We got very confused because we could see into the toilet and all the toilet stalls, so there was something odd. The Cloak room girl told us that the toilets were unisex, but we decided to walk into the one with a pretty frosted glass door – and guess what, it was a urinal! We walked straight back out going OMG! but we were laughing in hysterics because we were soooo lucky that there wasn’t anyone inside. I’d feel sorry for any guy at a urinal to be walked in on by 2 girls lol. Lucky.

While I was dancing there was a moment when I started realising some random guy in black was dancing behind me the entire time. Usually I tend to glance over my shoulder to see how much space I have and seeing it was black, I thought it was probably B, but I thought something was amiss because there was a height difference. Turns out it was some random dude who kept following me even though I was shifting positions around our circle. I even cut through it to dance on the other side and I found him still behind me. I’m glad that I wasn’t imagining things because the others also noticed it, but I think after that I think I went outside with M to get some air, I lost him >:3

Also, while I was dancing I could have sworn I had my ass slapped, but I don’t know if it was someone who just passed by and did it accidentally or if it was intentional. When I turned around I saw a huge gap behind me and that random dude in black didn’t have much of a facial expression. Fingers crossed it wasn’t!

There was also this really scary moment where there was this guy who kept watching our circle (or whatever he was looking at)…

The night started to become crap as soon as there were more people inside and it got stuffy, hot and just gross. They started letting in people wearing tshirts and jeans (so skater or nerd looking people) and the night just grew very unenjoyable. There were people dressed horribly in the club. My friend A told me that the general dress code for clubbing was a dress or skirt (no pants or shorts but leggings should be okay) and heels. A lot of people were wearing things they’d just wear at home before they go to sleep. Not sure how that happened.

The MC went on stage and then there was this random dance thing going on… the girl were wearing far too much makeup. And then after that, they replayed the same songs in the same order as the beginning of the night, and that was made of yawnsauce.

We left, and went back to the apartments where we watched some Family Outing and then went to sleep. It was a super enjoyable night and clubbing honestly was not a bad experience. We went in a really fun group and honestly speaking, the people in the club were fairly neatly dressed and weren’t too bad. Everyone seemed to just be enjoying themselves and even though there were random moments in the night, it made things interesting. I wouldn’t mind doing it again, it was quite fun. Of course, I wouldn’t want to do it when it’s getting way too crowded though. Feels too gross when you know everyone is sticky and stuff.

Saturday

I had a brief moment on Saturday when I had to quickly head back home because apparently my place got broken into and I had to go check what was missing. Most of the stuff stolen was my stuff, which is bad luck, but I’m thankful my parents were not hurt. I don’t want to mention much because of obvious reasons.

I took a taxi home and when I got back, I found that my laptop and camera had been stolen. I don’t think I paid for the camera, but I saved up to buy that laptop… so it was pretty sad. Admittedly, I never really liked my laptop all that much. I like the speakers and the look of it, but that was about it. I had it for two years and wish that I used it more.

I can’t even take photos of stuff now to post up on my blog. So if there are any photos, they will either be instax or camera photos. I’m sorry for the big masses of text, but I won’t be able to do it until I get a new camera. I’m feeling sad because even though the money I used to buy the laptop wasn’t really “mine” (since I don’t work), it was from my allowance, and I work and study fairly hard for it (if you think of the idea of me being paid to study, since being a student is technically an occupation). I just got some money from a startup scholarship, and was planning to use it to go to Broken Hill during the winter break to finish off my electives. Now, I have to use that money instead to perhaps buy myself a new laptop or a camera. I don’t know how things are going to work out. So in other words, thanks to whoever did it, you screwed up my education.

All I can say is shame on whoever did it, because you broke into an apartment where a poor girl student who has a limited allowance actually saves up to buy her own stuff, and works overtime almost every night before submissions and took the stuff she needed to do her work. I don’t even want to talk about anything else. I’m just too disgusted to believe or comprehend what had even happened. They also took something of great sentimental value to my mum, something she worked very hard to buy. My mum hadn’t worked for about 15 years and when she did, it was a tough waitressing job where she had to do all the stupid crap that wasn’t in the range of work she needed to do. She has a back problem and various other health issues, so that was her first real job in 15 years. She saved up months to buy it, and then now it’s stolen. It’s the equivalent to stealing from the elderly.

I had to call the police and file a report. And after that I headed back out to the city, where I could just temporarily forget about the dark atmosphere back at home.

C helped me dye my hair with the Palty dye! Thanks!! <3

Again I would have done a review if my camera hadn’t been stolen. But my hair is brown! No weird regrowth now :D The dye doesn’t smell bad at all and it doesn’t stick to the scalp. The only bad thing was that it’s quite strong, so it made my scalp a bit itchy in some places. I used a hairdryer periodically to help the chemical process.

Overall, the dye was quite good. Apart from a Korean dye I bought, this was the next most effective DIY dye I’ve ever applied to my hair. The colour is fairly accurate to the picture on the pack (lightened my black hair to the brown) but it was strangely odd because the entire time I was washing it out, it was yellow that was coming out. Generally the dye is brown, but this was was yellow. Another thing to note is that 2 packs is probably better. I el cheapo’d out and just got one, which was sort of enough to cover everything, but my hair is quite thick and long. Next time I’ll use two.

But YAY – thanks so much C!

We headed out to Wagaya for J‘s birthday dinner. J kindly sympathised with my loss, which really touched me ;-; Happy Birthday!
Once again I survived a sushi roulette (no wasabi!) and got incredibly red from all the sochu. I think I had 3 shots or something. But alas, no bbcream or powder on my face. I went au naturale yesterday.

Then we headed back, talked about random stuff, and then went to sleep.

Sunday

Had 8 hours sleep, checked out and then we just all went home because the weather is pretty crappy and it’s a public holday.

And now I’m here.

I really want to do my exercise and have some sleep. I don’t think I had a proper meal in the past 2 days (Wagaya was the closest “meal” but even so I didn’t really eat much). I also want to start on my uni work and get myself back on track.

I’ll be scanning in the few instaxes I took the past two days I suppose, but yeah, sorry guys, no photos until I get back on track.

And to C – find the surprise! If you still can’t find the surprise, I can give you a hint, it’s in your LV bag somewhere! I just hope it didn’t fall out or get lost. And to Ramille, what did you guys do to my bag?! I checked everything but found nothing.

I had extreme 2 scales for this week – I had loads of massive awesomesauce fun, and then on the other end of the spectrum it was like grieving over various crapsauce events.

I am going to recover today and hopefully be 100% charged by tonight. Thanks to the Lovigans for an enjoyable 2 nights/ days – I had a lot of fun!

Cockatoo Island and evil public toilet stalls

Well there were like, say, 10 highlights of the day. To keep this post relatively short, I’m going to redirect you all to my tumblr at http://kuroimisa.tumblr.com (which serves as my photography/ illustration doodle portfolio well okay it’s not a portfolio, it’s more like a gallery/ collection of my random stuff of everything and anything) – check out the 13.03.2010 posts. I’ll post an image where I think it’s appropriate, by the way.

Anyway, in rapidfire bullet point form:

  • C and I own the same military jacket. We bought them from different sides of Sydney, but it was the exact same one, and we bought it on the exact same day. THAT’S PRETTY AMAZING I MUST SAY D:
  • Ramille finally discovered the awesomeness of Takeru.

DROOLAGE OR NOT. I have decided after today that my Macro lens isn’t that bad after all. At least it gets my stuff into the picture.

  • Darling Harbour Aquarium wharf is the Darling Harbour wharf and that you can ask questions by pushing a button on a Help Point box.
  • Instax settings are really stupid >_< If you’re outdoors and it’s like, cloudy, don’t put it on cloudy, put it on sunny, or else you get overexposure. If you’re indoors and there’s light, don’t use sunny to get stronger colours – it gets underexposed! Dx
  • I got stuck in a public toilet stall at Balmain East wharf for about 5 minutes because I couldn’t undo the rusty hatch as it got stuck. I escaped by managing to crawl under the door. That sounds pretty damn hardcore – all my self esteem issues about potentially being too fat are waived – I CAN ESCAPE FROM UNDER THE DOOR. I AM MAD AS! Thanks so much to C to coming to my rescue… I would have been screwed and typing this entry from a public toilet stall into late at night ;__; Nah just kidding – I would have climbed over instead.

This place is evilllllllll!

  • The top of Cockatoo Island is actually really really cool. Will go up there again. It’s worth the extra walk.
  • Sometimes you can’t help what you do if it’s in your nature.
  • Poporo oyako is nice. You should always watch out for miso soup bowls – they spill, so don’t try to do something quick if one of them is lying close by. And Pineapple calpis soda sucks >_>
  • Market City parking increased their parking rate by FIVE ENTIRE DOLLARS. Wilson Parking, you’re taking it a bit too far :(
  • I owe Ramille money XD

So that’s today’s epic adventure summed up in 10 bullet points (better count those to be sure it’s really 10 – oh phew, it is). I’m safe from crawling under the toilet stall lol. I did skin my knee a little bit (like the top layer and you know skin is thin, so psssh nothing really), otherwise apart from a slight muscle cramp from being flexible, I am well and fine :)

Join me on my serious adventures, next time!
