Searches of the day

Beauty review (I think was today’s post?) coming up soon. I just wanted to answer a few of these open ended searches that ended up on my blog.

does shiseido mean purple in japanese

Uhhh no, it doesn’t. The “do” in Shiseido means a place of wellbeing. Shiseido started out as a pharmaceutical company, believe it or not. “Shi” means  to sustain or to invest; “sei” means life. Therefore together, “Shiseido” means “the place to sustain life”. In a way that makes sense considering their pharmaceutical background. Some people might argue this isn’t the most accurate translation of the name, but certainly, it does not mean “purple”. Purple in Japanese is “murasaki”.

why is gmarket so cheap

Actually, it’s just only cheaper in comparison to other places. Their shipping is actually not too bad for EMS (it’s discounted), but I keep saying again and again, the thing that sucks is that they charge you the estimated weight, which is usually grossly overestimated. It largely has to do with the fact that most of the sellers are sellers who own small stores, I think, and there’s plenty of competition around, which means generally low prices all round. Doesn’t mean that everything is cheap though – I find a lot of the prices are similar to what we pay for clothes and stuff – but all their stuff is decent quality and is different in terms of style and fashion. Since it appeals, of course you’d think it’s cheaper :)

why is skinfood cheaper on ebay?

Again, it’s because the seller doesn’t have to pay rent. Online store yo. There’s so much competition online offering low prices due to lack of paying rent for a physical store, prices are bound to be low.

On a side note – why the heck is everyone searching this up? I thought it was common sense to note that with online shops (1) Lack of rent for store (2) Less people need to be hired –> therefore cheaper prices. I thought that’s why people bought online – you lack direct customer service, but you get cheaper prices. It’s certainly NOT for people to buy stuff without leaving their home because you’re too lazy to – it can’t be that.

can you reuse palty hair dye

I’m pretty sure you can’t reuse any hair dye if it’s been opened and left for a while. Chemicals will explode, yo.

gmarket how to get free gift

There’s no way to guaranteeing you’ll get a free gift. It depends on the seller’s generosity. If the listing has a “gift” button on it, be sure to read the top section or make sense of it. Some sellers offer you freebies no matter what – most sellers will offer freebies depending on how much money you spend with them. Some sellers do not include freebies at all. :)

how to use likas

I’m pretty sure like any other soap you use o_o

is blemish balm considered a cosmetics?

Yes and no – it’s technically a tinted moisturiser and moisturisers aren’t really “cosmetics”. The tinted part, however, is. If you ask me, I personally think that bb cream is definitely a cosmetic product since it should be treated like makeup. It should be applied sparingly like makeup, and it should also be removed as if it were makeup.

my dentist is rude

I honestly don’t know why people would search this up – if you don’t like your dentist, switch to a new one!

Post coming up later today :)

Procrastination

Searches

Firstly I’m going to attempt a few of the searches I’ve been getting recently. I haven’t done this for about two months, and I’ve gotten some interesting ones.

i paid for gcash but i cant use it

Of course you can’t. Gcash is only used to top up shipping if Gmarket underestimates your shipping. That’s the only instance when you can use it. The cash account in your GAccount is different – that is the money you can use (and turn into Gcash if you wish) to make purchases. Even so, you need to have more than your order+shipping in your GAccount to use it. Repeat, Gcash is strictly for shipping only. Do not confuse Gcash (shipping) with cash account (moolah).

military jackets sydney

Go to Dotti. There are probably some at Supre, but obviously they’re popping up all over the place. I’m not going to tell you any specific places, simply because I don’t know about their availability. But trust me, Dotti has a lot, albeit overpriced military jackets. Around $80.

as soon as i opened my suitcase,i realis

….ed that someone had slipped $10000 cash into it…?

cosmed papaya

Oh yes. I have this and I’ve used it before. Smells deliciously like papaya, and goes on silky. It didn’t cause me any breakouts, but it never really did sink into my skin, like most gels. It sort of hovers on the surface of the skin. Having said that though, it’s relatively good value for money (I think I paid like $4 for 30g or something like that – it was a while), but it is quite nice. Don’t buy it if you expect it to sink into your skin though, because it won’t happen.

what does gucci serial number mean

I have absolutely no idea. It probably marks the date when it was made, what collection it’s from, and most importantly of all, it means your item is real.

Yeah. I think that’s a fair explanation. Everything Gucci has a serial number – even the belts :D

is gucci real if its made in italy

I’d be worried if it weren’t made in Italy to be honest. I haven’t bought anything (other than a watch) that was not Italian made. Their watches are Swiss made. Don’t ask me about scarves, clothes or shoes. I don’t have any of those, but so far to date their bags, wallets, belts are all made in Italy.

etude lipsticks are herbal?

Definitely not.

gmarket ems auspost

Yes, EMS is delivered by Australia Post :) In Australia, anyway ;) This means that they either deliver to your door (if they’re nice enough to – last batch, my mum actually saw the guy drive up to our place, but drop a card into our mailbox even though the box was sitting in the back of the van *tsk*) or they leave a card and you will need to collect it from the Post Office. Either way they need a signature, and you should bring some I.D with you.

what does jang geun suk mean

It means a very sexy man.

mizuya sydney karaoke list

Apparently the system at mizuya is the same as Big Echo, K-mix, K-square, Greenbox plus – you know, the Chinesey system (not the Korean one). I heard this from a friend who sang at mizuya, so I’ll take her word for it.

gmarket sucks

… only if you don’t have money to buy their awesome shizz. Seriously, I am very impressed with the idea of having everything under the one “roof” and having it all come to me in a single box. The idea is quite fascinating even though I’m technically buying from several people. It’s like a huge supermarket selling everything that you can go nuts in. But the thing that really sucks is that the extra shipping goes into the cash account and not back into my pocket. That’s the only thing that really sucks.

Justin Bieber looks like Jay Chou

Justin Bieber.

Screencap of Jay Chou I took from his MV “Qing hua ci”.

I think the images speak for themselves.

Anyway, the resemblance came to me while I was hula hooping and this CD ad came on TV, and it had Justin Bieber singing “Baby” – then I was thinking “I’ve seen that hairstyle somewhere before…” - and voila.

Let me know what you think about this lol. I know it’s not the best image of Jay, but I couldn’t find the perfect one, considering how many image results he generates on the Interweb :\

Worriedsauce and needing motivation

I am indeed quite stressed and worried lately. Design deadline is slowly creeping in and I’m starting to get extremely worried about what I want to do about this design and how to approach it. Usually I am quite lost for design for quite a few weeks before I finally stamp my foot and then come up with something in a short span of time, but I would very much like to spare myself the trouble and progressively work towards it rather than lurk in confusion.

I still have tomorrow, so it’s alright. I just really need motivation, and that’s all.

I need something to occupy myself and distract me. Did you know that I actually do the most work when I realise that I am potentially wasting time? It’s not really a good way to approach work, but unfortunately that’s how I go about doing things.

Lovigan Lovin’

http://camillesioco.tumblr.com/post/572845808/what-a-lovigan-who-come-up-with-it-hehe

I thought that was a very cute question lol. I’ve mentioned somewhere before on this blog that a Lovigan is an exclusive group of people/ friends (not everyone is entitled to the title of a Lovigan in the respect that we’ve been through quite a lot together already in a short span of time lol), but it’s basically a group of friends who are really fun and awesome. Maybe we’re so accustomed to the term that we forgot that it was unfamiliar to others lol. Probably that’s why I got a bunch of searches a few months back ;x

I believe that the term “Lovigan” was indeed coined by Lamah, after naming a photo album by the term.

To briefly touch upon my personal experience with the Lovigans, they really did help me open my eyes to a lot of common knowledge things I had absolutely no idea. For instance, I didn’t know the song “Milkshake” - let’s just say that I’m quite undereducated when it comes to stuff like popular culture or common knowledge (my knowledge is more specific rather than on a broader scale). The Lovigans have been with me on my really down days – they make me more human than what I was before. They made me also realise that I have a (social) life outside of just uni work.

So to add onto the list, a Lovigan is also:

  • Someone you could eat your meals with like family
  • Someone you want to see every weekend
  • Someone who will treat you like family
  • Someone who will make you feel alive
  • Someone who plays Bejewelled Blitz ;)

*wipes a tear* :’D <3

Song of the moment: B2ST – Easy (sincere version)

I think this is the only B2ST song that I really like. I especially love the part after the first chorus with the gentle singing in the background and the great rapping overlap. To me that was almost mindblowing because it’s probably the best vocal/ rap overlay I’ve heard in a while. The only thing I didn’t like about it was the abrupt ending – I think it should have been a bit more longer to show that extra bit of “sincere” rather than the “let’s cut it here so we can turn our backs and walk off the stage after finishing this song to keep the cool image” .

I’ve always grappled with B2ST’s image. I honestly don’t mind the individual members and no doubt they have a lot of talent. I really like Jang Hyun Seung even back in the Big Bang Documentary days – I even like the rapper, but only when he’s not really in B2ST – mostly because I can’t stand what the stylist does to him.

However, disregarding all of that, this song has completely won me over. Regardless of their other songs, I will definitely like this one. I just hope they make more music like this, because they sound really good doing it, and I’ve love to see them do this live.

Currently on repeat alternating with E.via’s “Shake!” – have a listen if you haven’t already :)

Alright I’m gonna run now lol. There’s probably more I’ll write, but it’s mostly related to hula hooping. I’ll save that for the next Mazeltov of the week on the upcoming Monday :)

PS: This month’s marie claire magazine comes with 3 samples! 1x Vaseline cocoa butter body lotion, 1x Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion (I was gonna buy that but luckily I get a 10ml sample before I make up my mind :D ) and I think a pack of 2 panty liners lololol. So yeah, if you usually buy marie claire you might want to consider this month’s issue. The content inside isn’t that great (bridal and some fashion, but there wasn’t much for me to read or look at in terms of handbags) – but yeah. Depends lol. We have a subscription so we get it whether or not we like it ;)

Until next blog!

Searches

I haven’t done this in a while, but I’ll do a quick one:

can you go to mizuya if you are under 18

Strangely enough, C asked the same thing. But yes, of course you can. It’s just a restaurant. I don’t know about after hours karaoke, but it should be the same with any other karaoke place – you can probably enter and stay, but they won’t serve you alcohol or allow you to have it.

gariz polaroid bag from

I got mine from Gmarket. They sell it on ebay for about the same price, though it’s cheaper in Gmarket since you get a chunk of shipping refunded back so you can use that money on your next purchase.

WHOA WHOA WHOA! Though this person probably ended up on my blog because I was talking about my attractive tutor, but generally, I’d say no o_o Depends on how old they are I suppose? I was talking someone like 2-3 years older than me – I certainly hope you mean the same o_o

is there any way i can make my face wide

Silicon injections. Or just eat.

Actually no, I’m sort of kidding (note the “sort of”) – I think you could sport a cool short hair style with some volume. It will give the impression of a wider face.

missha perfect cover makes you beautiful

No, it doesn’t. It makes you ashy because of the different shades. The bbcream doesn’t change colour at all and will look odd unless it’s a perfect colour match. It’s a good whitener and has a lot of nice things like anti-wrinkle properties. There’s a reason why it’s the best selling bbcream in Korea.

All controllato cards are white :) For bags and wallets, anyway.

Sorry guys for the delay - I blinged my headphones like 2 days ago but I haven’t posted it up. Erm, I also need to write about Likas – I’ll be back in a few hours. I want to do some exercise >_>

Search of the Day: “Is my Gucci real?”

I haven’t done this for a while, largely because the searches have been redundant and not so crazy :P I only ever do one of these public responses when I feel really strongly about something I see about a search term.

I’m very iffy about authenticity of items unless if I really can’t be stuffed about it (for example, BANC tees aren’t expensive to begin with and I can’t figure for the life of me which is real or not, so I don’t care about those – Baby Milo, BAPE and PLAY tees however I’m very anal about – this is why I don’t own one, because I don’t have the moolah for it – yet – or rather – I prefer to use my moolah on other things for the timebeing – I’ll get to those tees, later – that is, if I’m still into that style, since I am getting old[er] each day).

I got this search saying something like youtube is my gucci real.

Obviously the searcher wants to find a youtube video showing whether or not a Gucci bag (or Gucci something) is real or not – well, searcher, I’m assuming you went thrifting and not bargain shopping, so here are my few words of advice. Just because you have all these things doesn’t mean it’s real – these are just some hinters.

  1. It’s made in Italy. ALL Gucci bags are made in Italy. There’s always a stamped leather bit inside your wallet, or sewn onto the outside of the bag that will say:
    ®
    GUCCI
    made in italy

(note all lower case for made in italy part).
This leather tag is generally quite soft and is genuine leather.

  2. There is a serial number under the internal “GUCCI” (also) leather tag. Usually this is sewn to the internal compartment.
Lift the flap up and look for a number. If there’s a number, that’s great. If not, uh-oh.
  3. All hardware has GUCCI engraved onto it.
By this I mean mostly silver hardware, including zippers (if they’re metal), any findings or buttons of the like.
  4. It comes with a CONTROLLATO CARD.
The controllato card is a piece of white cardboard that is a rectangular strip with the gold Gucci logo coloured text talking about the quality and guarantee of Gucci items.
  5. If you own a light monogram, you should be able to see it change colour when it tilt it at different angles.
I think this is relatively straight forward. If you never noticed this before, try it. And if you don’t know what I mean, have fun tilting away at your local Gucci boutique.

Those are my 5 rather noob-ish tips from what I can understand from my own experience. All my Gucci items are from the store (cept for the watch which came from David Jones, which is equally as reputable) so I’ve never really had to deal with imitations.

Your best bet is to walk into a Gucci store and just ask them to see if it’s real or not. There’s no shame in doing so. If it makes you feel better, you can say “my friend got me this for my birthday but I wanted to check if it was real or not” – it’s easier than reading this list, checking everything and trying to find a youtube video.

Anyway, until next blog!

And about me and Gucci – I’ll probably still walk in due to habit, but I don’t think I’ll get the Boston bag :( Only if it comes in an awesomesauce colour, like pink handles, maybe I’ll consider it. Otherwise, I’m off to a different brand or else I’ll end up with a set and that can look dorky. TOODLES!

Rapidfire Vomit!

Search: “long xiong” pills

For those who don’t know Chinese, “long xiong” means breast augmentation. So together, breast augmentation pills.

Dear searcher,

There’s no such thing as breast enlargement/ augmentation pills. There is such thing however as breast enhancement pills, which should be “feng xiong” – but not, not “long xiong” – not ever. Having said enhancement even though most product descriptions will tell you that the effect is permanent, most likely, it’s not. Only a small percentage of lucky women will achieve permanent breast enhancement. Note that I’m wording this extremely careful, as the sellers would be. You get carried away over the prospect of larger breasts, but you tend to forget this “largeness” comes from enhancement (making what you have nicer) rather than enlargement (making what you have something completely different).

Good luck in finding something for you! I don’t know of anything like that so I can’t help.

Search: “kunie kanbara” artbook download

NO NO >:\

This search makes me happy and angry at the same time.

I, and a few other members of anime communities, are the only ones who have ever bothered to scan and upload scans of Kunie’s ”RESET” artbook. If you’re trying to download it I don’t really mind, but don’t make it seem like you want to download the full artbook as a zip. In fact, the entire artbook is not available on the web because I haven’t scanned it. I trust that the others haven’t done so either.

Visit www.minitokyo.net, register, be a good policy abiding member – fave and comment on the scans, and you will have no problem getting enough credits for downloading Kunie Kanbara scans.

If you didn’t mean leeching the artbook as a whole, I apologise for the harsh response, but it really does annoy me. I have the artbook, but no, I’m not going to simply upload it as a zip free for download and use. It’s a LOT of work scanning, I can tell ya. I do scanning not just for Minitokyo but also outside of Mt for history. It’s really not fun. So please, at least download the scans from a website (if not Mt then AP) and  please leave us a comment, because as scanners, we just hope that you’re happy with what we’re sharing with you. We want to know that. Thanks~

That’s about it for today. The rest are repeat searches :)

It’s MOO TIME

This morning I woke up at about 8am because some idiot upstairs went onto the balcony and started chuckling madly. Woke me up. Argh.

Anyway, today was my mum’s dentist appointment and luckily enough, I was allowed to go with her. I decided that today would be the day to buy my Juicy flip flops. YAY!

The problem was that by the time I got there a lot of the sizes were gone. Most were only size 8, 9, 1o, 11 and some were even last pairs D: Back in those days when they first landed in Sydney, they were $60 a pair and I cringed so badly about spending that much on a shoe that wasn’t even a sandal (I still think that these days, actually) – but now they are $80. I have to give in because they will never go on sale, and the sizes go so incredibly fast it’s ridiculous. When I showed them to my mum, she agreed that they were much better quality and make than the ones that were selling to begin with though. Not much to choose from - there was only one design that had any size left, so I got it.

Despite the ribbon thingy covering the platformish bit looking a bit funny, I prefer it to look crisscrossy rather than a “CHOOSE JUICY” printed on the side.

The flip flop I bought is called “CLEVER” (haha, get it?? ._.) and I got it in brown. According to the black flip flop there’s a navy available, but it wasn’t on display and I didn’t ask for it. I probably would have preferred navy, but it’s alright. Brown is awesome.

As usual, with my awesome Juicy luck, I was the only person to have ever tried these on. I know this because at the time when the guy came out with these, the tissue paper was still on the charms and ribbon. This is a size 6 by the way. But yes, it seems that I always get to buy Juicy shoes and be the only one to have ever worn them. How awesome is that?! I don’t have to worry about other people’s feet’s sweat germs. Now that sounds pretty gross XD

These are ridiculously soft and comfortable though. Plus I love Juicy tissue paper. That’s another sheet to add to my collection >:3 This box isn’t as nice as the other box I’ve gotten though. But it’s compact, and I can’t complain.

I started liking these flip flops ever since I saw a girl wear them on a bus. I liked the fact that Juicy could make a flip flop so elegant, and it was definitely the ribbon and charms that did it. Not to mention, if you watch He who cannot marry, Kim So Eun (Jong Yujin) wears Juicy-ish flip flops for the entire series. Such a casual but sweet look.

KAWAII! How can I resist? I love their charms. Everything else by Juicy however, I don’t really like because they’re just overboard. I like their shoes though >:3

Pretty padlock charm. I’d reuse these charms if these flip flops ever die on me. They’d better last a good 5 years before that happens though.

Feels weird since they are somewhat platformish. Hopefully I conjure up the guts to wear these out since I did buy them already.

Three Kingdoms drama adaptation should hit the shelves of pirated DVD stores in Chinatown after the 20th February or so, as Chinese New Year celebrations are currently underway overseas (and as a consequence has halted pretty much all work in general).

That reminds me that I still have to review The Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre 2009, which was IMO full of vomit. I’ll be back in a few hours with that.

-*-*-*-

We were in Market City and my mum dragged me into a store that I used to buy shizz from but stopped doing so because they started to only sell their own branded clothes. Seriously, I only liked them because they stocked K*2 Factory clothes. (NB: K*2 is a premium streetwear brand that is popular in Hong Kong with highly exhorbitant prices. Seems like they changed their clothing a lot in the recent years – back then it was pretty hard out, I must say – they sell K*2 on Yesstyle now, but eurgh, the stuff looks awful compared to what I remembered seeing in their store.)

I was looking at a pair of ripped leggings that looked kinda cool (just to check the price) and they were $35 (without any discount). However, I also managed to cut myself with their coat hanger. NOOB. Great way to start the day at 10:45am.

It’s actually nastier in real life since I didn’t touch up the colours. And yep, it did start bleeding but just barely.

Now it looks like I made an unsuccessful attempt to cut my wrist. Hmmm. Let me reassure you, do not try this at home. I was annoyed even though this was a scratch. Just DO NOT TRY IT AT HOME – OR AT ALL FOR THAT MATTER.

Something tells me that I’m not gonna walk into that shop for a long while. Hopefully not ever. We only liked that store because they had a $10 storewide sale a few years back because they were going to renovate. I mean, K*2 SKINNY JEANS FOR $10?! YOU’RE KIDDING MEEEE – a mini skirt that covers half your ass is about $500HK (that’s about $90AUD) – let alone a pair of full length pantsssssssssss! It was a one off thing though. I should have bought the entire store at the time. :\

-*-*-*-

Onto other matters, I’ve finally been changed to the new Facebook interface which seemingly looks more simple but actually takes dog vomit amount periods of time to load. Hmmm.

-*-*-*-

Searches!

I’m not going to reply them in full, because they’ve been answered in my other “How did you find me?” posts. This is just a selection of awesome searches that I got in the past, I dunno, 2-3 days. So if you landed on this post and didn’t get your answer, be sure to search my other posts (type in miketsu *your search here* into google and if there’s an option to show more results from my blog, click that. You’ll find your answer in no time ;) ).

lovigan - OMO!! AGAIN!! <3

so ji sub naked – I love this search. If you find leaked naked images, please come back and share the link with me? PLEASE?! But anyway, check out the OMONATHEYDIDNT livejournal, or find my So Ji Sub hotness post. I linked to a site with raunchy images >:3

gu jun pyo impersonation youtube - as far as I’m concerned, Hongki of FT Island did a BOF parody. The other impersonation I know of is done by mychonny (or was it on the yourchonny channel? Hmmm) on Youtube – grab the link from the side. I can’t remember which video it was, but it was one of the last 5 he did.

zipia jeans size, zipia jeans – they are true to size. Measure a pair of pants that fit that you own and measure across the top and times by two. Or if you know what pant size you are (in inches), it should be the same. PS: they’re very comfortable and excellent quality.

$1 nail polish sydney – you can get (cheapest) for $2.50? :D As far as I know, I’ve never seen $1 nail polish unless they’re tiny. You can try Paddy’s Market.

park shin hye fanfiction – try www.soompi.com/forums/ You need to be a registered member to read the Fanfiction section. PSH fanfiction sounds kinda… nm :x

gucci designer killed – that sounds awful Dx

fake burberry brit sheer ebay – I have no idea 8D Burberry Brit Sheer is a limited edition item. If it’s still at retail RRP, then it should be real (because I still see a lot of places still selling it here in Sydney) – but if it’s cheapish, then stay away from it. Limited edition fragrances rarely dip below RRP. But I don’t really know. Usually they tend to bump up the price a little – but it’s probably not as popular as some other limited edition fragrances around. I STILL LIKE THE PINK BOTTLE. But oh well, it’s in better hands now <3 Anyway, wild digression – I’ve been meaning to make the point that with “cheaper” prices (not really possible since it’s Limited Edition), just buy it from a shop. That’s the safest bet!

so jisub feet size – are you a fan who wants to buy him shoes when you see him in person? This search sounds rather perverse…
But yeah, his feet do look quite large. Maybe a size 12? I know someone of similar height with size 12 shoes, but I have absolutely no idea.

mc hotdog dirty – very. Very. His lyrics, anyway >:3

kinokuniya slimming foot patch – I get confused if this search intended to be for a foot patch that will slim you down, or a patch worn to slim the foot (there’s a difference, hehe). I think I know what you mean (the foot patch that slims you down), and no, I don’t think Kino sells them. They used to sell them at Maruya for $2.50 per pair of foot patches. However, they’re bogus and they don’t do anything really. If you really want to slim down, do exercise.

mizuya karaoke sydney prices – my friend J went to eat at Mizuya. This image is courtesy of him.

PWNED!

That aside, the prices look fairly reasonable and standard. I’ve heard mixed reviews now – J said it wasn’t that great, but it was sort of alright as a snack/ karaoke place. My friend D said his sister went and really liked it. Guess it depends? Note that J is in his 20s (23ish?) whilst the little sister is probably 18, 19. As you know, our food tolerances get stricter as we’re older.

Until next blog! (which I’ll be reviewing vomit drama)

Search: how long does zipia take to deliver

Depends on how far away you live from Korea and how long it takes for Zipia to get in your stock. No longer than 2 weeks, I assume. Check the EMS site and check your location. Actually, when the item leaves the Korean airport, the EMS tracking will tell you a guaranteed delivery date. It’s fairly quick.

Lately I’ve gotten a bunch of searches which I really don’t understand. Why would you google these search terms, instead of reading the FAQ? I don’t know about other people, but even when I first join a forum, I read the Terms and Conditions, FAQ and everything before I even join – not to even mention for a SHOPPING website where money is involved.

Search: does zipia accept western union

I’m going to be a mean cookie here, but there are CLEARLY methods of payment written in their Customer Service section. You should read them thoroughly. In fact with the new website, all you had to do was just look at the top bar: “HOW TO PAY: DEPOSIT BANK PAYPAL”. Click that link and you’ll end up with a menu, and click #8 “How to pay”.

Zipia does NOT accept Western Union.

Deposit refers to money already put into your zipia account (via bank or PayPal). The site says you can’t make a payment by credit card, but they mean that they don’t accept credit card alone – you can however pay via credit card through PayPal.

In fact, you should be pleased that Western Union is not accepted. Most dodgy sellers accept WU and there’s zero sense of security or guarantee you can get your money back if you’re involved in a fraudulent case. Not to mention WU charges exhorbitant fees.

But at the end of the day, READ THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PAGE, PLEASE.

Apart from being lazy not reading the Customer Service page, I’m just saying you should read it yourself and make sure you understand the website fully before throwing a minimum of $300USD around in cyberspace. I just don’t understand why you would do something like that. Not to mention, if  there was a site looking exactly like Zipia with a very similar address but accepting WU, and you happened to order from there and get scammed – it’s your loss. It’s as simple as that.

Search: zipia.net tutorial

I’m also going to be mean here, but if you can’t navigate the website intuitively, then you’re probably a bit too young to order a $300USD minimum wholesale order. ;x

The process is relatively simple: make an account, log in, see an item? Click the “ADD TO CART” button and choose your size and colour in the pop up menu. Click “ADD” and the pop up will refresh. It is added to your cart.

Do this (and check your cart to see how much you’ve spent and to remove items) until you’ve finished your order.

Simply confirm the order, type in your address details. “CONSIGNEE NAME” or whatever, just write your full name that appears on your I.D in case if you need to collect it from your Post Office and produce I.D.

Choose your method of payment.

TO PAY VIA PAYPAL

If you choose to pay with PayPal, they give you their email address.

Log in to PayPal. Click the “Send money” tab. There will be a form.

Copy and paste PayPal’s email to the “RECIPIENT” and type in your total (of your clothes AND shipping). Select USD as your currency. Select “GOODS” as your reason for sending money. In the message topic line, copy and paste your order number. In the message box, include your Zipia log in email, your full name, order number (and date of order, if you’re very particular) and your delivery address.

Zipia actually asks you to include this information into the PayPal message – this is probably just to confirm that they will make sure the right person has paid for their respective order.

Click send money – (the page will refresh) – then you may need to select a bank account, credit card or your PayPal account balance to pay – so select your preferred funding source. Click “PAY” or whatever the button says, and you get a confirmation email from PayPal. Done. You don’t need to do anything else.

Log into Zipia maybe after a few hours to check if your order has been paid (you click on deposit and it should be updated). If you don’t see your status being updated within 24 hours, create a topic in the Q&A section where you get to display private messages with Zipia customer service. Write your Paypal transaction number (can be found on the email and in PayPal) and you will get a response soon.

TO PAY VIA BANK DEPOSIT

If you choose to pay with Bank Deposit, there are also bank deposit details. Unlike PayPal, you have to provide the bank transaction details under a special section in your My Account section named something like “Payment notice” to notify Zipia you’ve paid them. I’ve never used this method of payment before, so you might want to search the Internet or scrutinise Zipia’s Customer Service section more carefully.

Search: $100 australian dollars in korea

…. is about 100 000 Won. That looks like a lot of zeros. Don’t ask me what you can buy with that. I’ll just answer 4 boxes of Yufit masks, and that’s not too terribly helpful.

Actually, check out Gmarket. Their prices can actually display retail prices in Korea, so that’ll definitely give you a very good idea of how much things go for retail in Korea.

Search: wide face bad thing?

Nope, it’s not a bad thing. But most people will associate wideness with fatness. Not to mention most models have got heart shaped or oval shaped faces, so we all want slim looking faces. If you ask me, as long as you’re in proportion and you still look pleasant, who really cares about having a wide face or not? Oval shaped faces aren’t the only nice looking faces.

Search: gmarket time for order to arrive singapore

This depends if you bought from Gmarket Global (Korea) or Gmarket Singapore.

Gmarket generally uses express mail – I don’t know about Singapore, but if you order within Singapore, you should get it in 5 days ish? For it to be shipped from Korea (express) it would probably take the quickest about 5 working days? It depends on when the item gets to the warehouse and whether or not you’ve paid any excess shipping if they underestimated your shipping costs.

So check if you owe Gmarket money (more than 3000 Won) for shipping – if you do, they won’t send it to you until you pay!

If it takes me a while to respond, you’ll know what happened. I’m going to head off “somewhere” in the next two days to download my HP updates so I can upgrade to Windows 7. And youtube… most likely Family Outing ;)

Marie Claire March 2010 cam in the mail today.

Cover is Angelina Jolie. Scan credit: miketsu

Yeah, I actually bothered to scan in the cover LOL. It looks different to the ones at your newsagency because it’s the stuff they send via subscription. They decided to give everyone like editorial copies, so the covers aren’t really complete. Everything inside is complete, though!

Seems like the trends coming up are really revolving around pinks (for makeup) and purples for clothes. There was literally page after page after page of purple clothes – purple, lavender. This month’s issue is quite good. There are lots of ads in this one (my eyes go all googley when I see 2 entire pages of Gucci ads… nyum) – not to mention, magazines like this are the absolute BOMB for photography and fashion ideas.

I was talking to C about staying away from urbanscapes and doing shoots elsewhere.

Recently my friend went to Broken Hill to do some construction work and from what he described and  the various photos I saw, the place seemed really nice and deserted for a lovely shoot.

This is a very random image I pulled off Google of Broken Hill, just so you know what I’m talking about. Click for the source. Image is uploaded on my wordpress.

Despite it looking very outback/ bushy, I think it’s quite nice and rocky/ dusty and provides a really lovely panoramic backdrop. Just image a model standing beside that rock with a long flowy white dress. Red dress? Black dress? I know know what, but if there’s a bit of wind and you imagine this elaborate long dress flying, NOSEBLEED. I think this place is absolutely lovely for a shoot. Not to mention, the sunsets *droolage* oh the sunsets were apparently very pretty.

Anyway, the landscape reminded me of this magazine that I have.

Yep, another work of self scannage. I made my watermark look like it was part of the front cover – lols.

THIS WAS THE ISSUE OF cher THAT I BOUGHT FOR THE TOTE… AND I LOST THAT TOTE. *strokes the images of the tote in the top right hand corner*

This is a rather expensive magazine too, to say the least. Sigh.

But anyway, as you can see from the cover, this is a special issue shot in L.A. and what caught my attention was a bunch of photos in a set named “Wasteland Girl” featuring Vivi model Lena Fujii. Photographer is a lady! Yoko Takahashi :D

This is such a lovely image.

For some reason I really loved how everything is like yellow against the blue sky – even the vegetation. But with Lena Fujii inserted in, she’s like the oasis amongst it all. So so so lovely.

Can I just say wow?

I only chose to scan in these 2 images because these were the only external shots with a full shot of the desert landscape. There are some really lovely beach shots in the magazine (and I think we need to do beach shots some day too lol – but maybe in autumn when there’s a bit of wind, not so cold, and not so sunny, perhaps?).

Btw, I posted these scans up in tiny size because I’m too stingy to share with the general public. Lovigan, want a large HQ scan over 3000 pixels in width? Give me a holler :)

Seeing that there aren’t many places near us within a 2 hour drive (maybe there are places like this in Woollongong? Or maybe Newcastle?) that I know of, I think it’d be hard to do anything like this. Coming to think of it, Albury bears a lot of similarities to Broken Hill, but Albury sounds pretty far just from its name (lolol – I can’t be bothered googling, sorry).

Bossley Park actually was similar, but it had too much vegetation and not enough empty plains that were dry and rocky (it was mostly grassy green). There were some patches near/ close to Penrith that could also work, but they’re on a stretch of a high/freeway. ARGH. I’m sure there’s something like this, and you don’t need to go all the way to Broken Hill to do it. I don’t actually know Sydney well enough to know, sadly :”( I bet you guys know more than me – I’m not a driver or a traveller! ;D

Because in fact, it takes 14.5 hours drive non stop to get there. That’s just ridiculously far. You won’t be able to effectively do a shoot unless you plan to stay there overnight (so you get the afternoon shots, sunset, some night time shots, and maybe sunrise and some day time shots before you head back to Sydney).

At the moment I’m thinking “no thanks” – let’s go to a park instead x__x I think there could be a place somewhat similar-ish. Eurgh.

Today: had a random scare because for some reason my printer/ scanner stopped working so I rolled back my computer to yesterday -__- Everything’s working so WOOP and I’ll be back to illustrating fairly soon for my tumblr. I need ideas lol. I rearranged my bottom drawer using the new plastic box/ case I bought \o/ so neat. I’m tempted to buy more ;x And then I’ll use them to organise my drawer inside my closet XD Next time, hehehe. Watching Heaven Sword/Dragon Sabre again and it’s getting on my nerves. I’m not really buying into the “we’ll just gloss over this part and create suspense – we’ll replay the full version of what happened later when we expose the bad guy” tactic. EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE WHO IS INTO CHINESE DRAMA KNOWS THE PLOT. Please, it takes away the importance when you do something like that. Not to mention I’ve seen that blasted arch 5 times already – they keep reusing that same place (is it like the whole crew deciding to film ALL the scenes at that one place in a day?!). RAGE. I’ll write a full review after I finished watching it, of course. I’m somewhere in episide 29/40 now. I’ll be done by the weekend, methinks.

PS: Razor I bought to shave off lint didn’t work. I need to buy a fabric shaver. Sigh. But on the other hand, the razor works? :D

Search: cher bags soompi

I hope you realise they sell them for like $50USD shipped for the large tote and something like $40USD for the medium one, which IMO is not worth it? I paid about $30 for the magazine above and it came with a medium tote, but the actual RRP of the magazine is actually ¥1200 ($12ish AUD) so I got majorly ripped from Kinokuniya. I thought it was alright though because I get a magazine as well, with lovely images, so it didn’t bother me too much until I lost the damn tote.

I suggest you try to look around first. And really, trust me, a cher tote is really not worth $50USD shipped, even if it’s the large one. There’s no zipper, no lining, no internal pockets (basically NOTHING) and the handles are bit too short so the bag sits against your armpit. I used my tote to carrying around models and sometimes my shoes when I went photoshooting. It can also be used as a bookbag for a trip to the library (which is where I lost it) – but you can’t really use it for anything else and call it practical. If you use it as a normal bag you have a high chance of everything falling out. I’m not talking about a Burberry tote where the canvas is hard. The canvas of these bags are like tough curtain or tablecloth so they’re floppy and have no fixed shape.

Please re-think about it!

PS: if someone knows where I can find a cher tote, medium sized, preferably in the same limited edition colour as shown on the magazine cover above selling for maybe $15-$20AUD I’d consider buying another one. I miss it :(

Early start!

First things first, I got a comment overnight about the cars used in IRIS.

http://kmisa.wordpress.com/2010/01/08/search-of-the-day-cars-used-in-kdrama-iris/

Check out the post if you’re still interested in the cars. I made a really huge edit and now I talk about NSS cars to the North Korean vans and even the Government cars.

I had to go to the bank and I went first thing in the morning. It was hilarious because the banker thought that I just finished high school, and was shocked to hear I was in my 5th year of uni. He thought that I looked young XD

Now I have a feeling whoever calls me old looking is just an idiot :x Bwahaha.

My big toe nail really hurts even after 2 days. I think I know why.

I bruised the nail and nail bed.

SAY OUCHY??

Thankfully the leg muscles don’t hurt, but if I walk barefoot, argh, I think I bruised something in both feet.  But the nail… omg… have you ever felt someone step on your toe so hard that your toe nail bruises purple within 20 minutes? I have, and it was awful. I was like “you stepped on my foot!” the girl was like “no, I didn’t!” and then when I take my sock off BAM! Purple toe nail and the nail changed within a month. I can’t believe she had the nerve to say she didn’t even step on my foot. It was so painful I couldn’t walk properly and it was insta-death.

The lesson of the story is that if you dislike someone, step on their toe nail.

Just kidding.

Now for some searches, which I haven’t been doing lately. I think the stats in wordpress fell because of the new stats counting system? I don’t know.

Search:: can i buy blemish balm in hong kong?

Honey (if I may call you that), you can buy anything in Hong Kong ;)

I was serious when I typed that too. They sell just about anything.

Hong Kong is probably the best place in the whole of China to buy BB cream. I don’t think it’s pricey, either, but do your research first in case if you get ripped. I was at a cosmetics store here in Sydney and the SA tried to say that the price they were selling the BB cream was cheaper than Korea and Hong Kong. PSSH YEAH RIGHT. IT WAS TRIPLE THE PRICE.

So yes, you can buy BB cream in Hong Kong, as for where, I don’t know because it’s been a while since I visited. Try boutiques and little cosmetic counters. Sasa is also your best option – they have almost everything.

Search: gmarket never delivered my order

That sounds awful :\ Did they ever provide you with a tracking number? You must log on into your account and look at the history/ recent and there should be a tracking number. If there is you should have contacted the post office. If there is nothing, you should contact Gmarket. If you paid with PayPal, file a dispute. They have to refund you, since they have no tracking number to prove they sent you anything. If you paid using credit card, do a chargeback if Gmarket refuses to refund you.
