My arms are currently lacking energy. My right hand used to hurt to the point I found it hard to hold chopsticks. How did this come about? Holding a knife and hacking through very very thick cardboard. I hope that the time and energy is worth it. I really hope I get this done on time. Cutting it close. But I think I can do it.

At the moment I feel very groggy and I want to sleep. I’ve been having terrible sleeping patterns lately – super tired

This is what I watched over the weekend. It’s currently still airing/ being translated.

If you have seen You’re Beautiful or Hana Kimi, you will enjoy this, provided you can overlook/ endure all the political stuff going on in the background.

If you want a summary of thoughts from someone who can’t read subtitles fast enough or understand what’s going on, my mum has made a string of awesome comments which effectively will reflect anyone’s thoughts on this drama:

• Their hanbok is cute! (Referring to their hats)
• IS THAT A GIRL? (Actually, it was Song Joong-ki :S)
• Everyone is so good looking *_*

The basic premise of the story (I found the online summaries to be a bit misleading) is that a girl (played by Park Min Young) has been dressing as a man (namely taking up the identity of her physically ill brother) to copy books, write novels, and other stuff. By chance she mixes up the person she’s meant to be delivering a pre-written exam essay to, and accidentally attempts to sell the said essay to a super anal guy played by Micky Yoochun. He’s the type of guy to always abide by the rules – no cheating allowed, no rule breaking – he generally only believes in “facts” without contemplating the possibility of other things.

Having failed to sell her test paper she is facing an unwanted marriage with a local Government official who is a shark loaner on the side, since she can’t pay the debt plus the 10% interest. Getting desperate with time ticking down, she attempts to do it again at the retest, only for Yoochun’s character to suggest she actually sit for the exam since it’d be a pity if she doesn’t have an education with her literacy.

Using her brother’s identity, her essay is selected by the Emperor and she is sent to Sungkyunkwan University. She receives money from the book store owner she’s been working for, which is enough to pay her debt. With her student allowance, it appears that all her family’s living expenses are covered, and despite the thought of having serious consequences for lying to the Emperor and entering the school as a girl (SRS CONSEQUENCES), she goes anyway.

At Sungkyunkwan there are a few key characters – mostly it’s divided between “seniors” and “juniors”. The “school captain” figure is an evil guy with an entourage of extremely unattractive sidekicks who do nothing but relentlessly bully the main characters.

The other 2 main characters are played by Song Joong-ki (ie. the guy who winks in the above video clip), who is made of gorgeous and is only 3 years older than me – HAI DERE who plays the promiscuous womaniser with a large stash of illegal books (ie. pron) in his room. He is also the only character who flaunts his wealth by wearing different outfits throughout the entire series, and even claims that “if you steal an accessory from me, you might as well take the matching clothes for it!”.

Flawless pout. Cept face looks a bit strange in the soju campaign – I blame the hair ._. He’s also the guy with UEE in the sports thingy campaign thingy asgsdkljhsd – he was on my harddrive for a few months already without me knowing – I want his varsity jacket. Img src goes to the awesome peeps at omonatheydidn’t

Seeing him in the COOL campaign with UEE makes me like him more lol. He’s so pretty ;_; Though I think he actually looks better with the traditional dress *avoids flying tomatoes*
ONEW LOOKALIKE ANYWAY. AND ONEW IS AWESOME.

The other main character is played by Yoo Ah In, who plays the poor architect internship/ trainee in He who cannot marry who attempts to date the girl next door. He plays the rogueish character of a Government Official who refuses to accept the Government as it is and constantly risks his life to get his message across.

Yoochun is doing a good job – he’s converted me into a fan.

So what’s so great about the series apart from eye candy in terms of girls and guys? The negative is that a lot of bits are slow and unnecessary – school competitions… zzz… bring on the pron cute flail inducing romance scenes already. Jk. Well, the tension of knowing she could get into really big trouble for going to Sunkyunkwan, the possibility of the Yoo Ah In character being captured and gaoled, and the love triangle going on. There’s a lot of “ore wa homo janai!” only unspoken and angsty and in Korean. It’s really quite funny – I can’t wait for the next few episodes to come out I just hope that the ending isn’t rushed. I’ve seen 16 episodes already and it doesn’t seem to be finishing o_o Yo, it’s only FOUR HOURS of screentime – plz don’t rush it to finish and have a crap ending ;-;

Personal Taste

So I decided to continue to watch this. I personally feel very sorry for Lee Min Ho because he’s still douchey in this, but at least he doesn’t have that mess of a curly mop on his head. I also have a soft spot for architects of course… for obvious reasons *cough*. But seriously – “MR GAY,  YOU’RE THE BEST!” LOL – so gg embarassing. Poor bb.

SHINee – Lucifer (the album, not the song)

WUT IS THIS. THIS IS AMAZING. GO LISTEN TO IT IF YOU HAVEN’T. I’M ALREADY SO 2000 AND LATE LISTENING TO THIS.

Onew… is… flawless. And so are the other boys.

There’s still some facepalm Engrish in this album, but the refreshing tracks make up for it. Best music/ album released in a while apart from 2NE1′s album, seriously.

JYJ – The Beginning

Don’t ask me why. I quite like this song. The other tracks aren’t bad either – esssited. MVs plz.

I made this joke already, but in the song Ayyy Girl there’s a bit too much Kanye West in it, but I guess he’d be saying “Imma let you start” – uhuh. You do that plz.

I wish SME would lay off JYJ and let them release their album already – I’d seriously buy it! Even if it’s just for the photobook :S Nah, I kid, the album is pretty good and I do want to support these guys in some way. I wasn’t really a DBSK fan, but I feel that I need to do something to go against SME. You have SNSD and Suju and they’re pretty much ranked top groups (though I admittedly like neither group that much) and they roll in the money. LEAVE THESE GUYS ALONE >_>

Co-Ed School

I’ve been a bit slow lately but this group debuted fairly recently. The thing I like the best about them is that they have guy and girl members, which potentially makes singing a complete bitch since you have to do extra coordinating with the music, but I do admire their talent. What I hate is their autotune, as their vocal skills are evident in their ballad track. I feel that they’re trying a bit too much to make an image (and I’m not sure what they’re trying to convey) to the point it’s a bit messy. Hopefully though, no autotune no more!

I watched this MV over the weekend and this is the song that has been accused of plagiarising GaGa’s “Telephone”. Sort of. But not really? It’s a really annoying song in the respect after you hear it you’re like “what did I just listen to??” – but as a track on your music player, it’s admittedly not bad, despite all the blasted autotune which people need to stop using.;

Seriously, what??? But song can be catchy if you close your eyes and ignore whatever it is they’re doing or wearing. And ignore the fact it’s infused with MSG known as autotune. May contact traces of nuts. Listen at your own risk – you will either like it or hate it.

Last thing I want to say is… Sasa.com SUCKS ie FAIL. They took my money and they were packing my order and then decided to delay its shipment because they were moving warehouse. I mean, fair enough, but if you’re going to move warehouse, why not… DISALLOW ORDERS OR REFUND MY MONEY SO I DON’T HAVE TO WAIT FOR YOU? I’m SERIOUSLY considering taking my business elsewhere. The only reason why I like them is to get my cotton puffs from them, and even so, they limit the number of packets I can buy, which is DISGUSTING. I believe I should be able to spend my money however I like it, and buy as many or as few items as I like!

They have had some great stuff going on, but that’s not the way to do it Sasa. It’s been way too long. Even an email with a courtesy code for a bonus gift with my NEXT order isn’t going to please me. Your samples and freebies are stingy and scarce. I’ve been a consistent customer for the past 3 years or so, and never have I received a cash voucher or anything of the sorts. STINGY. I don’t even know if I want to buy stuff from Sasa in HK if I go to HK!

Oh well, I’ll just wait it out. If my mum is a SK-II convert I’ll have no choice but to stay with Sasa, but otherwise, I’m very disappointed. That’s not very good business ethic, seriously. They are so money hungry they rather make their customers wait and keep the money, than to return money and let customers not worry about it.

Mazel tov Monday

Well, it’s no surprise that after an uneventful weekend, I’m back with yet another uneventful post.

This is just getting beyond ridiculous.

My memory card? Still not here. Freaking customer service seems okay but it’s so poor since they promised me to email me a form (which I have to consequently sign and return – and guess what, that’ll add an extra day) but they DID NOT EMAIL IT TO ME. They take one business day (in fact since they don’t operate over the weekend, means I had to wait the entire weekend)  just to write a response, and they DO NOT DO THEIR WORK. Seems like it’ll take another day for it to happen, hmm? If so, I’m definitely going to blow up at customer service and I’ll most likely even bitch about it on their Facebook page. I am NOT a happy camper. A memory card does not take up to 3 weeks to ship especially when their warehouse I probably can literally see from my place! “LOST IN TRANSIT” – do they realise that it’s virtually IMPOSSIBLE for items to get lost in transit unless it was so poorly packaged that the address is either unreadable or the packaging is completely ruined?! Are you kidding me?! I KNOW how the postal system works! This is a load of crap! Whilst the money I paid wasn’t that much, if they weren’t going to be competent enough to send it out to me in the first place, do me a favour, let me know so I can actually go somewhere and just BUY one instead of having to wait for… let me see… NOTHING?!

This isn’t just an “inconvenience”, it’s a complete waste of MY PRECIOUS TIME. I rather be sitting doing nothing peeling an apple, than to have to chase up for something that I’ve already paid for – it’s MINE. If the company had bothered to ACTUALLY SEND IT OUT VIA EPARCEL LIKE THEIR WEBSITE PROMISED IN THE FIRST PLACE, then NONE of this would have to happen. I’m simply just fuming because people entrust this place to send out their items SAFELY (their website says yadda yadda everything is insured so that it will get to you and they’ll replace it if it gets lost in the mail) when they turn around and then say “OH UH SRZ LOLZ WE SENT IT OUT VIA NORMAL MAIL CUZ WE WANTD TO SAVE MUNNEH – DIDDUN THINK U’D NOTICE” – WTH!?

If I still don’t get an email tomorrow, I will definitely not be happy. 3 entire weeks since I’ve paid and local ground mail does NOT take that freaking long. In fact I’ve made overseas purchases which are faster. I have no problem if they don’t want to deal with a dissatisfied customer, because I’m more than happy to take my business elsewhere. ARGH – FRUSTRATION x 10000.

I’ll write the full details on this place as a dedicated post another time. Be very wary buying from them – it’s NOT worth your trouble! I could have given my money to charity instead – this is just disgusting!

In fact right now I’m considering taking this to Fair Trading. This is just absolutely ridiculous.

… and the weight is…

Well. Bloatsauce. Comes as no surprise – I gained 0.6kg. Sigh.

My measurements are the same as last week though – no change, which means it’s just a temporary bouncing of weight here and there. To be honest I can’t be stuffed doing the 5kg weightloss target thing. I’ve lost 4kg already, and it’s just been dancing around those numbers. I think at the end of the day if my measurements are looking good then I don’t need to be too concerned with how much I weigh, yes? But in any case, I’ll still aim for those blasted 5kg and 26″ waist target – I’m still doing okay considering I’ve only been doing this for a few months… but anyway. I shall continue on with it.

Boys can be, and are ridiculous. Hence they are boys.

Someone just told me that guys don’t get girlfriends because “they have other things to do with the time instead of having a girlfriend”.

Forewarning – Mazel tov Monday should ideally be renamed “Bitchy Monday” – but I woke up on the wrong side of the bed to begin with this morning. Apologies, my lovelies.

So in other words, from what I gather, other things may take priority over having a girlfriend. May I please ask, what kinds of things take priority over having a girlfriend?

Playing Starcraft II.

So very possibly instead of having a girlfriend, a guy would rather play Starcraft 2. Well okay, it’s not surprising – it’s been a long awaited game release, and it’s so extreme that one of my friends actually called up EB Games at midnight, asked when they’d close, and ran downstairs to buy it – he bought the game 5 minutes past midnight on the day/ night of its release.

Usually you’d think that at midnight you’d be at home cuddled with either a bunch of soft toys (if you have no significant other) or your significant other.

Some guys would rather prefer to stroke their keyboards and mice all night long baby. Alllll nightt longgggg.

PS: The guy has a girlfriend, but I’m just saying that a lot of guys who don’t would still prefer to play SC2 over having a girlfriend.

Seriously, the idea is still ridiculous in my mind. We all have our own lives and we have plenty of shizz to do every single day. There are things we need to prioritise, and perhaps a relationship really isn’t one of them. But saying that you don’t even have time to go out and see your girlfriend maybe an hour once a week because you have “other things” to do (note the list above)…?

No wonder some guys remain single.

I think that will suffice for now. I will have fun trying to think of how to review and photograph the above items over the course of the next month or so – for now, Monday will be my last “resting day” before I get cracking on my design work. I can’t work knowing I have at least a pimple on my forehead. I will feel too miserable to want to do anything.

In fact, I think I’ll review the SK II later today.

Once again this is a short post – sorry about that. I just really have nothing to talk about since I stayed at home all weekend lol.

Hopefully my next post is less grouchy (but then I guess you’ve all learned to not take me too seriously) Until next time!

Happy(?) 1 year of being single!(?)

I can’t really remember the date, but it was around this time last year that my relationship ended and I promptly fell from in a relationship to single.

It was absolutely a terrible experience that words cannot describe. I was sobbing non stop, I was distressed, and I was severely affected even during class. I was easily irritated and was throwing my phone around (something you should not be doing or trying at home unless you want a broken phone or do not care about it), I was throwing things out, I was replacing everything and anything I thought seemed to be not right - everything started to crumble.

It took a long time to get used to. Ultimately I only really had myself to blame since I relied on the relationship too much to be something I’d look forward to every day when I wake up. I’d have conversations every day, every night. My life was filled, and suddenly it became empty. Then there were also people who took the opportunity to be elated for my bad run which didn’t help much. Made me want to sock them in the face.

I recovered relatively quickly with the help of my friends who turned into counsellors. I started meeting more people and socialising more.

My life started going downhill from that point on, but in a way it was a good thing the relationship ended.

Sure, life would have been better if I was still in a relationship now – I’d have a lot more confidence, support and when things go wrong, I know someone will be there for me unconditionally and help pull me through it. The great thing though is that I don’t need a boyfriend for that, I have my awesome friends to help me through – and for that I’m very thankful.

Unfortunately for me though, I’m starting to grow a reliance or a habit of just relying or getting back into the routine of things. As long as I have someone to talk to as a routine, and have something to do every day as a routine, I’ll grow used to it and look forward to it. I should really stop because I know it won’t last.

Anyway, that’s just my insight for today. Not a great day – it was super rainy today, and my gmarket ankle boots – *cries* one of them has a cracked sole already so I can’t wear them in the rain. I don’t know when or how it happened Sad! I had them for maybe like 2 months only T_T But the great thing was that I didn’t really pay for them and they were worn quite a lot, lol.

RE: Uni. I also knew this – I wrote about it last week, but yeah, didn’t do so greatly after all. Need to pick up the pace, but I’ll do it soon.

To all the “loveless” people out there, you have friends and family who love you! One extra day of being single means one day closer to finding that special someone.

I got a lot of birthday wishes with comments in regards to the weather lol – thanks everyone I’ll reply them bit by bit after today I guess.

Plans for today and the nice weather? No rain means I can go buy cardboard for design and making models. I have a lecture still at 5pm so unfortunately there’s no fun in it for me today. I don’t really like eating cake so there will be no cake, and well – it’s just like any other ordinary day I suppose

DIY Bow #2

Seriously, the word “Christmas” in the top left hand corner was a complete coincidence. I was jotting down notes for the flyer C asked me to design

I think until the 30th May I’ll try to make a bow a day (or a hair accessory per day). I have no idea what I’ll do with these because I won’t really wear them, but if you have any suggestions, let me know.

The red bow again was made of stuff I found around the house. The ironic thing is that I don’t really like red all that much, yet I suspect that this bow is nicer than the white one, since it looks like something generic you’d find at the shops. Though I’m going to be all haughty and say this is better quality than the stuff you find in a shop, because I made it and QC’d it lol. You’d be surprised how much excess glue and stuff there is with the stuff you find in a shop. But anyway -

What I used:

• 2x strips of red felt (plus one extra for the middle strip)
• 2x Christmas ribbon from a past present we got maybe over 10 years ago (lolz)
• 7x rhinestones (sewn)

What can I say? I always handsew my stuff. If I head out to the city this weekend I’m going to see if there are any satin bits I can buy to make more of these (and trust me I have a LOT of variations in my head I’d love to make – like super crazy ones too). It’ll be my DIY project for May. They all have new bobby bins attached and I won’t be using them @_@ You bet I won’t. Unless it’s a photoshoot. Or a party. Lol.

But you just wait and see – on the weekend sometime – a REALLY COOL ONE. I can think of 2 really awesome ones. Unfortunately I will definitely need to get a move on with design *cries*

Anyway today is just yet another ordinary day. My jeans are very loose. I can’t believe I bought like 7 pairs of Sass and Bide jeans and now they don’t even fit me! I better try on the other size ones I thought were too tight, they might actually have a looser fit that before. I might dig it out soon and wear a new pair for today.

Has it been a while since I posted something substantial? Methinks so.

Hello

Apologies go to Ian as I fell asleep in the afternoon. I don’t know why, I just was so sleepy. I started to just lose concentration and I had to sleep @_@ Sorry to get you worried dear, I’m all well now But afternoon naps really screw me up, I ended up sleeping at 3:30am >_>

True friends are the ones who really ask you how you’re going and ask you to meet up some time for a catch up. Yesterday two of my good friends, N who spent over a month overseas in China and Japan, and R who spent 6+ months on exchange in China and holidayed in Korea, both are going onto my list of catch ups >:3 *happy* I’m just hoping that I get the time off when I see things improve at home (for those who read my BBB, ‘he’ can hop now, so I guess he’s alright).

On the aspect of anything to do with ‘love’ (general term, doesn’t have to be to that extent, but you know what I mean), there are just two words (well okay there are more) that come to mind and that is ultra fail. Eurgh.

Oh, and I’m going to boycott all Yuna music videos (as for which Yuna, only close friends will know ;D). PS: I’m not categorising under music, because it’s not even music.

The past week, dodgy weather and home circumstances have resulted in my house arrest. I feel very lethargic and fat. It was only recently that I realised my calves have gotten huge (or they always were and I never realised it). The interesting thing is that it’s roughly the same measurements as Tiffany’s legs in the SNSD 5:3:2 Star King video, which confuses me greatly since she looks so toned and fit. My calf isn’t fat or flab either, they’re actually firm *_* There’s a Chinese saying though that larger calves are better. Something to do with bodily proportions and the luck that comes with it. I’m not too fussed as long as I don’t get any larger and unfit than I am now. I need to start up some home exercises, which coming to think of it, work out my legs quite a lot, so that might have something to do with it. Hmmm. I need to start doing pushups though XD I don’t feel like lifting 5kg dumbbells.

This week is doppelganger week. So far it has been failsauce trying to find myself a doppelganger. I believe that there is a similar looking celebrity to me, but probably in some obscure country. Le sigh. I guess maybe the doppelganger just doesn’t exist? Or or I’m the doppelganger? Oh oh oh ! Just kidding OTLL

I even used the celebrity lookalike tool (which has been trying to screw up my Internet settings, even after uninstalling it) – I’ve got SpyBot denying those changes, but damn it, annoying. Can’t do anything about it now, considering that I told SB to remember my changes. Maybe I’ll reset my Internet settings after this post. Should do the trick.

But anyway, the celebrity tool thingo told me that my highest matches were 78% Matsu Takako/ Lee Hyori in her pre solo days. Next up was Andy Lau (only because I had my hair tied -.-) , 3 western celebrities and it was just a mess from then on. No, I definitely do not look like Andy Lau. People who know me in person can verify that.
