Dabo Ritzy Nail Polish: happy nails, happy wallet.

Here is a long and overdue beauty post. Just to break up my wads of text. Pics – I know you like ‘em.

I’m sure like most girls, I have a phobia of cheap nail polish. Cheap polish definitely means that there’s something wrong with it, like it being gluggy, too thick, too watery, smelling awful, taking decades to dry, or it’s just nearing its past by/ shelf date. I’ve been frustrated buying nail polish I’ve been told is good (cough-Revlon-cough) but has ended up being utterly BAD that words cannot even describe how bad it even is and I’m aware that this sentence no longer makes sense grammatically D: But you get the point ;)

Why do we still buy cheap nail polish though? Is it the price? The bottle? The colour? The hope that you might find something really cheap that actually works?

It’s probably all of the above. We just think to ourselves “it’s only $2!” in the hopes that it works.

Forget crap quality $2 though, it means that paying $2 is expensive – especially when you see this.

I’m sure you’ve all seen this photograph before (in fact it wasn’t posted too long ago), but I’ve updated it with the nail polish numbers.

The polish is named Dabo or Dabo Ritzy as the box behind and various stickers I received suggest. This is a Korean nail polish.

I bought these off Gmarket (for those who don’t know, it’s like a super safe version of eBay, only in Korean and based in Korea). The listing was 3+3 – in other words, buy 3, get 3 free. All I had to do was choose 6 colours and I was off into Happyland. Best part was they are super affordable, there’s a huge range of colours and the seller made it easy to tell you which were popular colours, which were new, and which were (sadly) out of stock.

Packaging

Anyway, first things first – the listing attracted me because it was so cheap. Good feedback, and they had a HUGE range of seriously cute colours to choose from. The bottle actually looked really nice in the listing – upon receiving them, you can see that the caps are quite awkward and plastic/ cheap looking. The bottle itself isn’t too bad – glass, pretty shape and has very minimal writing on it (just says Dabo Nail Polish  – and on the back it says the same thing, only in Korean words).

Application?

Surprisingly very smooth.

It’s not thick, it’s not gluggy – it’s a really good consistency so you can actually get colour onto your nail, and it actually dries within a reasonable amount of time. It’s buildable, and isn’t streaky. Note that I did this with a solid PASTEL colour, which is usually a complete pain to apply, so you have no idea how impressed I am.

You can get a similar application to mine by 2 coats of Dabo polish. I used 3, but the 3rd coat wasn’t on the entire nail – it was just on bits that were streaky in the sense that polish was missing. As you can tell, you end up with a really smooth finish. The colours are seriously fun!

OR242 is an orangey pink. So it’s sort of a mix between a cantaloupe/ rockmelon and pink grapefruit. If you imagine that, you’ve got the idea of this colour. Photograph is fairly accurate though it looks more orange than I’ve described; but the colour does sometimes look orange, and other times looking more pink. Look at my solid colour swatch and I think  you can kind of see the pink.

BE311 is a pretty nice nude colour with some glitter. Slightly gold based, but mostly nude – seriously this is the closest colour I’ve used that is closest to what I call the ideal nude nail colour. YAY \o/ Perfect colour to wear out to look neat, and good enough to wear to a dress party. It’s just a very classy (or classic perhaps) colour.

Only 2 coats are needed and results are pretty good. The problem with the glitter is that it’s not very glittery (I say only about 20% of the glitter actually glitters >_>) and it doesn’t give a smooth finish – you will be able to feel the bumps of the glitter in the polish on your nail >_> Therefore you might need a good coat or two of top coat to achieve a smooth finish if it bothers you. Perhaps it was because I didn’t shake the bottle before using. I shall never know until my next use of this polish.

The “glittery” purple, not the pearl purple. As you can see, it’s more of a cherry purple more than an actual blue purple. Borderline berry red with slight purple. It’s really hard to say, but it kinda looks a bit vampy and I’m not sure if I really like the colour. Goes on smooth and the glitter bits again don’t really glitter, but the finish was smooth – so something went weird with the beige polish lol.

I also cut my nails >_> I’m sure this colour would be better on long nails.

This colour was not really what I expected – it’s a bit darker than in the photo – I couldn’t get the colour right. I thought it was meant to be a rosy pink, but it’s sort of a cross between a rose pink/ mauve or a lavender gone pink. Very flattering colour though (okay, I think this means light pastels suck on my nails – if you’re one of those people who think pastels look too light on your nails, opt for a darker borderline pastel colour and you’ve hit the jackpot) and is overall excellent. Really digging this colour and how easy it was to apply. Smooth glossy finish and colour is awesome. I do not need to say any more!

The other 2 migrated to another happy land :P I gave them away as a Christmas pressie lol. But I imagine the other orange one was more pastel orange than pastel canteloupe, and the pearl purple is probably more of a purple than a cherry colour. I dunno, I didn’t touch them but the colours are fairly accurate on the nail (ie. what you see on the bottle is what you get on your nail).

Lasting power

All Dabo polishes have the same problem – they peel somewhat easily, but they’re so heavenly to apply that I can overlook it. The good thing about this is that I realised that this nail polish does little to no damage to your nail. Peeling is fairly normal, and usually it only happens to a few nails that were soaked extra long in water or for whatever reason – so it’s normal. The polish itself won’t come off easily unless you’ve been doing a lot (I cleaned the bathroom – ie. scrubbing).

You will definitely need a base and top coat to prolong the life of the polish – even so it will still last around a week which is fairly standard. This problem is more apparent in their solid nail colours, because you need more coats, hence the layer of polish is thicker – therefore when you add more polish closer to your nail bed or nail tips, the surface isn’t smooth due to thickness differences. I’m pretty sure this isn’t a problem with their pearl or glitter polishes as they require less coats and are thinner in general.

Other things to note

  • Doesn’t smell gross like cheap polish. I bet everyone has tried to buy a really cheap nail polish for it to smell like concentrated wood lacquer. Dabo doesn’t smell bad and I must say it’s got a pretty good smell for nail polish – it’s less strong than most. Rest assured, this isn’t going to stink up your house.
  • Easy to remove. Even the thick solid colour polish comes out pretty easily onto your cotton puffs.
  • Just to reiterate, dries within a reasonable amount of time. By reasonable, I mean even your “oops I did it too thick” nails will dry within 20minutes before you sleep (don’t you hate it when you have a thickly painted nail that seems okay when you tap it gently, and then you accidentally stab it across something and have it ruined? Most likely it won’t happen with Dabo, and if it does, you can fix it and it’ll actually dry). This is by far the fastest drying polish I’ve ever tried which gives a perfect finish.

Conclusion

I know the appeal of solid colour polishes – and for a foolproof solid colour, Dabo actually isn’t bad. It’s flippin’ fantastic compared to other polishes I’ve used – and this is including Konad, which is a big surprise. Dabo > Konad > Missha.

I made a booboo and ordered 2 sets of very similar colours, so if I were you, I’d order different colours! I have a thing with orange/ peachy colours at the moment, and realised I didn’t own any dark purple polish – so you can tell what happened there.

Next time I manage to order these I’ll be definitely getting different colours. Their pastel mint and blue look really cute! But I’ll be getting the darker pastels rather than the light baby coloured pastels.

So, nail fanatics – if you can’t grab these from online for one reason or another, check your local stores and see if they have them – if I were you, I’d snap these up because they are seriously the best pastel/ solid colour nail polishes I’ve ever tried. Cheaper than Konad, and better than Konad – with Konad I tend to mess up a nail or two and have to start from scratch, but with this, I didn’t make any mistakes at all. Not even once, and I tried 4 different colours :)

Until next blog!

This is a Christmas post + “Nails of the week” segment. Sorta.

I think most of you are probably tired of the sudden rush of beauty reviews (haha I kid, you’re all probably welcoming them) so I’ve decided to do a post which actually talks about what I’ve been doing (level of interest drops down here).

Admittedly, I really haven’t been doing all that much. It’s been reduced to watching this Youtube clip almost every day as an anthem, watching Xman on my computer (whilst camping on bed, which means I’m going to slowly grow fat) and having pimples pop up all over my face. This is reality and it’s kinda sad.

Park Myung Soo is made of all kinds of awesome.

A note to L about the song, it was indeed a cover of a Slovakian song and it was in English (Gunther’s Ding ding dong) – so Park Myung Soo covered it. Youtube comments are misleading >_> Lol. I prefer this version over the original anyway – the original was too ridiculous.

Nails of the week

These aren’t really my nails. I cut my nails fairly short so I don’t have much room to do fancy designs. However, I didn’t want to ruin the Christmas spirit – not that I’ve really done Christmas nails before to begin with :S I’ve done New Year nails before!

But yeah. Anyway. This was sort of out of boredom and for exploration. Photo isn’t going to do it much justice (this was taken in my pre-manual-focus-is-possible-and-I-know-it era) but I hope you all get the general idea.

I think as you can gather my inspiration was from the green white and red peppermint candies or general Christmas colours. I really tried to get a swirl (see second nail from the left – that was my first nail) which did sort of swirl, but there wasn’t enough colour LOL. Anyway, I marbled all of these nails and left them to try – so the patterns are really random. I then touched them up and added more colour to where I thought was necessary (won’t tell you where but one is pretty obvious lol) and added a coat of sparkly glitter.

Marbling’s kinda fun. I don’t know if I’ll do it to my own nails if ever, but it was fun doing it on these nail tips which I got from C earlier this year.

If I’m bothered I’ll make the other 5 tips for the other hand if I find a reason to do so (I don’t wear them, sell them, or give them away – though I could sell/ give them away if that’s what people want). Personally I think I did an alright job for the first time (note: thumb nail is pretty cool) but there’s room for improvement :)

24/7: Listen to these flawless beings

My T.O.PxBOM dream came true. But the best things come in threes. I think :P Okay, maybe not for all aspects of life, but you know what I mean… right D:

This is currently playing on repeat through my ears. Considering to make it into a ringtone, but it’ll depend on when I’m bothered.

Thursday: Christmas Lovigans

Can you believe that it was about April 2010 that a proper full attendance Lovigan meet happened?

Well, we didn’t have a full meeting yesterday - just those who were still in Sydney (four in total, which is still a handsome number) all made it and we had an awesome lunch at Takeru.

The weather was hot and gross so I opted for a Chicken nanban hiyashi ramen or whatever it was called (true story, I said “hayashi” (forest) instead of “hiyashi” (cold), because “hayashi” is a cool word. Serious). The chicken is really good because it’s so crispy on the outside, but I must warn you, that’s not soup you’re seeing, but that salad vinegar all Japanese restaurants use. When the mayonnaise looking stuff (nanban sauce) sinks, it mixes with the vinegar, and it’s not pretty. Besides, the vinegar is far too flavoured and salty for my liking in a large amount as such. It was cool trying it, but I won’t be ordering it again – if they had tsukemen and I missed it, my bad :\ And green tea latte! I haven’t had one in ages.

Not sure if you guys can tell but the quality of photos from now on will be a lot better – I just sort of realised that there was such thing as a manual focus (because I’m such a noob), and you can do all sorts of cool things with it.

We then went to sing an hour of karaoke (though we could have sang all day for really cheap lol) but M joined us after a work party \o/

Hyde Park was our next destination where we just all shot photos. It’s been a very long time since I’ve actively gone out and shot anything, so it was really mostly everyone else :P However I did manage to nab this shot:

Man, I think after getting my camera this is probably the first photo that actually looks right :\ (or in other words, this is the first time I’ve ever achieved bokeh – EVER D: Most I’ve gotten was a blured background, but actual cute blobs of bokeh – NEVAR.) I fiddled with the focus, which was something I never really did. Man, if that’s the thing expect nice photos from now on >_> I’m such a noob.

We then all headed our own ways. I waited 20minutes for my bus to go home :(

It was so great seeing everyone again – especially since I’ve been just stuck at home not doing all that much.

Friday

I cleaned out my desk (there was a big pile of crap to my left, to my right) so I have a large space to do ridiculous doodles again and to take some photos without having my computer as the backdrop. The downside is that you get to see other ridiculous things in the background LOL – WHY I OWN SO MUCH CRAP?

Closer to the new year (feel free to interpret which new year I’m talking about) I’m going to go through all my drawers and throw out the junk I don’t want/ use. I hope to have a bare desk one day :\

On that note, here are some extras I took today. These were the presents I got yesterday – kinda sad because I was actually the only person who rocked up without having prepared anything D: Erm – well – if it’s any good, we’re going to meet up next week anyway, so it means I can return some presents >:3 HELL YEAH.

This was a pinky ring from the two Ls :D Pretty <3

Cleanser for sensitive skin courtesy of M – I am excite for these.

This was an assorted stationery/ girly pack from L which contained mostly pinks and yellows (I think most of the presents were colour coordinated lol). There was also a luggage tag but I forgot to include it >_> But as a note, I used to have the exact same highlighter when I was in high school! Can’t believe they still make them :O What a surprise – brings back memories :D

Thanks so much guys! I really suck for not having presents >_> But next time I will have something. \o/

Plans for Christmas

None in particular. I rarely spend Christmas with other people because it means I have to go out, and it’s a public holiday so nothing much is opened. However I do have a weird tradition, which consists of queuing on a bunch of Christmas related songs on my computer  into a Christmas playlist. One song in particular is this song:

Song: Christmas Eve by Yamashita Tatsuro

Song never grows old, but I was lolol-ing eternally when I first saw the clip some 7 years ago.

I’ll probably end up doing something semi-cool. Until then I’m waiting for Running Man Ep20 and all the Gayos to be put online for me to watch. Having lots of bandwidth gives me awesome amounts of breathing space – don’t know how I used to survive with a mere few gigs per month – or even the 400mb/month and 200mb/month eras – shudders.

This time last year I also did a mini-post of myself wearing a weird Christmas coloured hat (well it was never a Christmas hat, but the colours were good enough to be) – who knows, I might be bored enough to do one tomorrow.

Anyway, stay safe. Double demerit points – so don’t be idiots on the road. Eat everything in moderation and don’t let a night of celebration break your promise to stick to a diet etc. Lol – don’t take me seriously <3

Until next blog!

Nails of the week: Chocolate Slice

So while I was doing my design I was feeling bored and tired so I decided to do something “constructive” at least.

Well,as it can be seen, it’s super simple. I used two coats of Konad nail polish in Light Beige (best nude colour – possibly if you’re after the white-ish nail look) as well as the fimo clay sticks I got. All glossed with a top coat also by Konad.

Let’s just say it’s pretty difficult for me to cut these sticks properly lol - I wanted really thin slices but I couldn’t do it. My hearts are really thick and chunky. DOH.

Practice should make perfect lol. 1mm thick >_<!

Click image for larger view. And FYI both hands have same looking nails in terms of colour – I just couldn’t get the lighting right because I suck at taking photos with my left hand lol. I tried my best to get them looking the same colour wise, but alas, I couldn’t do it.

On my left hand I have the index nail with a chocolate heart, HALF a strawberry (because I failed cutting a full strawberry, so half will do), with a cream snowflake. On the right hand I have on my middle nail a chocolate heart, one whole strawberry and a chocolate leaf presented on two servings of cream snowflakes.

I must say, I’m fairly impressed with how detailed these fimo clay things are – makes my job so easy. Instead of an hour doing the stamping, I get this done in maybe 20 minutes in between work. Easy peasy – especially since I didn’t really paint my nails solid too.

I did these nails in preparation/ testing out for the BIG costume I’m trying to work the details of lol.

Anyway hope you enjoyed my first attempt at fimo clay on nails :) Until next blog!

PS: Those are my real nails
PPS: I do them myself, I don’t go for manicures (never have, probably never will) – I shape them just simply by the way I file them down.
PPPS: It is imperative you slice thinly and glue the entire thing onto your nail (ie. bend them to fit the curve of your nail) – I’ve lost a chocolate heart and a snowflake down the drain while I was in the shower – had to recut and redo lol.
PPPPS: Making a model and having glue around whilst having painted nails and not melting the nail polish off your nails, still having close to perfect nails: priceless skill to have.

Fimo Clay Sticks

So, after an epic Gmarket post (because I was really thinking I was gonna leave home, but I didn’t), I think you’re all sick of shoes and clothes/ fashion of the like, so I’m going to post the fashion post tomorrow. For today, here’s something mildly beauty (but moreso fashion) related.

To start, an artsy fartsy shot that’s mildly blurry:

On other matters, apart from the lulzsome Horace reference – I think I need to cut my nails.

So, I’m not the first to buy these fimo clay sticks – you can read all about it on C‘s blog, with her awesome designs: http://camillesioco.tumblr.com/post/872705479/nail-art-supplies-fruit-fimo-canes

I actually was thinking of buying these quite some time ago, but never really knew how large these things were. I then got a Konad stamping set courtesy of Ramille and never looked at fimo canes after that. I think when I first researched into these I was looking at them on Etsy and they were fairly pricey (because they were handmade, probably – lolz). When I revisited the fimo sticks, I realised they were unbelievably cheap (mass produced).

So, rather than just buy a select few (I’m the type of person to tend to buy things “just in case” in case if I regret it when it comes things where you pay a little extra for bonuses), I decided to buy… a hundred (100) of these sticks.

It was mostly for the lulz and to see what kind of designs they’d give me. The description said that all 100 sticks were different, so I was curious as to what I’d get in the mail.

It was shipped out really quickly by the ebay seller, but it took 10 days for it to arrive.

Inside the bubble envelope there was a ziplock bag with all the fimo sticks inside. I was surprised at how small they actually were, but coming to think of it, this will last you a very  very long time unless if you intend to use these to decorate cards or something – the parcel was also less than 2cm thick and can fit into your mailbox (which is where it was for me) – no hassles. It was an easy transaction.

If you were wondering what the distribution of stuff they’d give you is, I manually sorted out all the sticks and categorised them:

The most popular by far was the mountain of flowers. Fruits were also very popular, then characters, butterflies (which included like a fruitfly or some ugly insect, maybe a bee - ewww), miscellaneous (included like fish, something I couldn’t distinguish at all), hearts (literally love hearts)/ winter (a snowflake, snowman and a gingerbread man with a scarf on), and food – with a cupcake and an egg.

I did take photos of each category, but my photos were really messy lol – so here’s just a collection of all 100 mixed up:

I think if you click the image you can get a larger view lol.

I’m pretty sure they gave me 2 sticks of lemon – one flower definitely doubled, and I think I got 2 strawberry slices and 2 watermelon slices – I didn’t double on the photos above – there should be 100 if you can be bothered counting (I certainly didn’t count, so I don’t know if I really did get 100 or not lol) – but the quality was generally okay and the designs actually looked like what they were supposed to be – generally, lol.

Sorry for this craptastic photo – I need another lens for my camera.

One thing to note is that not everything is happy sailing: the cupcake one I got was not well made. A lot of the sticks were bent or curved (not a big deal) – but this one was particularly bad, since the edge actually does make a difference.

Was it worth it? It was so cheap, and it was worth it. I tried to search if there was such thing as 200 designs for sale on ebay, but it doesn’t exist unless you wanted like 200 sticks of the same thing, like a lemon :P 100 is the maximum, I think, for assorted designs. You can try searching like 150 or whatever number you think makes sense – I just stopped at 100, lol.

Would you be using these? I actually don’t know. I bought the fruits template for Konad but I don’t have the right colour polishes for it. I might possibly just use these since it’s faster and easier than stamping – but I don’t see myself using them any time soon. I will if I’m really bored lol.

I also don’t really like butterflies that much – and there are so many flowers too – don’t know if I’ll be using them. But I’ll be using My Melody! And the Yogi bear looking one hahahaha~

But anyway, I just bought them to see what they’d give me and to see what designs I’d get. They’re really cute just to even look at, so I’m happy with the money I’ve spent lol.

Fimo Clay Roses

I filed this under “Nails of the Week” even though it’s not because I figured it’s the Nail category anyway.

I ordered 10x6mm fimo clay rhinestone roses off ebay last week. Shipped out on Friday and I got them on Monday. Sweet – that was super fast. It cost I think $2 for 10 of these, so these are quite pricey- 20c each, but with free shipping which is about 60c already (more with the envelope because it’s an Australian Post one), it means each one is more like 12-14c lol. Either way, not too bad. I needed these for a costume I’m slowly putting together – and that has yet to arrive. I’m not even sure if I’ll get everything ready in time!

In case if you were wondering I bought from an Australian based seller. No return address was noted on the envelope – I guess since I’m covered by ebay, and the roses were cheap to begin with, didn’t really matter if it got lost in mail or not ;)

Unfortunately as you can see, it got slightly destroyed in the mail since some of the rhinestones fell off the roses – you can see the random rhinestones floating around. I’m glad the seller was nice enough to put it in a plastic pocket though – if I lost any of these rhinestones it’d suck really bad. But I have a few green ones from the free rhinestones given by the ring seller on Gmarket lol.

This is what they look like after I glued the rhinestones back on. Possibly the yellowish tone is from the glue I used lol – sorry about that. They’re not that noticeable in real life since they’re really small.

They’re all flatback roses so you can glue them onto paper, to bling things, or for your nails. The back surface is quite large though, so I’m not too sure if it’ll stick to a nail – but let’s just hope so *fingers crossed*. You can also tell that they’re not all perfect – some of them look really wonky; most look like roses, but some don’t even look like roses. They’re alright/ not bad since they are handmade (I think), but I’ll be on the hunt to see if I can find better ones! I’ve been wanting fimo roses (3D) for my nails for a VERY long time lol. My desire is temporarily satisfied.

I’ll definitely use these for a design and I’ll post about it sometime in September – you just wait! :D

Mazel tov Monday

So, I’m back after the weekend – I’m hoping to make this the best post possible for your reading leisure. :)

ATTEMPT#1: GET INTO SMASH! 2010 ENTRY – FAILED.

Well by the time I got to the city, the tickets were all sold out :( I have no idea how an event like Smash! would possibly sell out (considering you’d think that the general idea is that they’d want to sell as many tickets as possible to generate the highest amount of revenue possible…) but it did. This year it was held at Town Hall, and I couldn’t get in even though I really wanted to :( Next time, perhaps?

I didn’t take any photos because of obvious reasons; I would have gone nuts though if I had a ticket to go inside >_<

I was always wondering the possibility of 2 people turning up to an anime convention wearing the same costume – I saw 2 people cosplaying as Miku from Vocaloid at the very least (actually, I didn’t see them in person – I saw one, then I saw photos of another – I knew it was a different person because the dress was different :\) – so uhm yeah. I guess sometimes it’s not a good idea to dress up as anything too common :P

Instead, had lunch at Ton Ton, did lots of shopping (window shopping), failed miserably at skill testers but won some lollies instead.

Red Skins! I haven’t seen these for a while. I was lucky because I got 2 of these in one go. Then I got a minty the next lol. I sucked at the machine – oh well – lollies :P Expensive =_= But meh who cares :P

Before that though, R saw the Kara boxset for sale at the local DVD store – C came out and surprised me by handing me a roll!

With every purchase of a CD you can get a poster if you add $2 ^^;; This was a pleasant surprise – but of course, it wasn’t really a surprise what the poster was :P

It’s T.O.P!!

Thanks so much <3 <3 <3

The poster was printed on slightly heavier bond paper and it was A3 – lol – I’ll print you guys a poster next time I see you ;)

I put this photo up hoping to get the Kara boxset (you can kinda see the roll – well maybe not) – I like the photo though! No photoshop. R‘s awesome shoes yo lol. And don’t try smoking kids! ;)

And then that was the day actually – I find it hard to find anything to do in the city which is interesting lol.

But here’s a random photo/ portraiture of the week:

Zipia blazer, military style dress, black opaque leggings (also from Zipia), brown wedge boots by Zu Shoes.

This photo was taken by the lovely C! Uhm – I’m not doing the Sorry Sorry dance where they go dan dan dan da dan dan da dan dan! part -  it looks like it though /fail. Lol – it was a pose I was told to do :P

I finally managed to get my hair curls to hold! It was because after all these years (like what, 4?) that I never turned my hair iron hot enough – LOL. Either way Remington sucks – once mine breaks down I’m definitely getting a GHD.

Also on second thoughts, I’m slimmer than I thought I was. Hmm.

Nails of the Week

OMG FINALLY \o/

I’ve been highly uninspired and was never convinced my nails were long enough to do them again. It largely had to do with my painting nails every single week for about 2 months straight. I have fairly strong nails, but they seemed weakened, so I stopped. Then I also had the theory that if I had pretty nails I’d be less inclined to want to do work.

I got a bit bored and felt like I wasn’t doing anything, so I decided to paint them. Heheh.

I’ve been really obsessed with lace lately (there’ll be another post coming soon on lace) so I decided to do a lace theme on my nails. This is a lazy inspired diagonal lace french tip with glitter on the very tips. The thumb however has the lace going along the centre. I used a base coat, Konad special polish in white (and I think the template is m57 – I’m too lazy to go check up on it though, but it’s one of the lace ones, any will do – I just felt like using this one), 2-3 top coats of Konad top coat/ clear polish, and then some cheapo glitter chunk polish on the end. The other hand is the same but inverted.

Apart from that I started to watch Three Kingdoms the drama and so far it’s like D:!!! Lol. It’s just very cliffhangerish :P

Missha PROVICE Inner Cure Serum Hair Treatment

I’m not going to include a picture or a photo – you can search it up. The main reason why I’m not putting it up is because I wanted to blog about the awareness of having a treatment as opposed to not having one.

The Missha PROVICE range has long been discontinued. I spent over $400 at Missha to get $20 store credit (I know, this is how die hard I was back when I was just 19 years old) and with that I got a bottle of the Inner Cure Serum. There are olive extracts and other awesome things that claim to rejuvenate your hair.

The good thing about it is that it works. Doesn’t really leave your hair oily, smells good, is light  and the price isn’t too bad – it was $14.95 for a 100ml bottle (which I redeemed with my store credit).

The bad things included the pump bottle (means you can’t get all the product out unless you hack the bottle with a saw), leaves a slight residue (my hair feels a little bit heavier – and I’m not sure if it’s the moisture being inserted into my hair or if it’s product sitting on top of it, but yes it is softer) and you need quite a few pumps for this to make any difference, especially if you have long and thick hair like I do.

Missha hair products are really not bad. I’ve tried their shampoo and it’s pretty good.

My message is though, you might not think about your hair that much because it looks good when you straighten it with heating instruments, but doing hair treatments is essential! I use the WHITE Shiseido Tsubaki hair treatment but that’s not enough once I rinse it out of my hair (it’s like conditioner) – having something like the Missha serum will benefit your hair in the long term (you put this treatment in damp hair before you dry your hair completely).

There are plenty of hair masks – for Asians, vinegar substantially helps your hair. Egg masks, avocado, olive oil – even hot oil treatments.

I’ve never had a treatment done at a salon, and I’m thinking I probably should. For the meantime though, I encourage you all to invest in a hair treatment product – I actually really care for my hair, but I don’t care for it quite enough!

Monday

======================================================

… and the weight is…

Uhm, well, unfortunately for you guys, I kinda forgot to weigh myself this morning.

I woke up and knew I had to measure myself and weigh myself, but as soon as I walked into the living room I saw an empty bowl with a spoon in it, and a bag of cereal beside it – and I just thought it was breakfast time. Started eating and after I finished I was like “ARGH I FORGOT TO WEIGH MYSELF”. My mum told me to weigh myself anyway, and I gained just 100 grams to last week’s weighing with food. I’m assuming a bowl of cereal is about 250g, so I didn’t actually gain any weight – I will however weigh myself next week LOL – silly of me. Sorry guys.

Banking blues

Uhm, I don’t think I’ll ever open an account with ANZ. We got a letter fairly late for our term deposit so we couldn’t renew it on time. Unlike in the ads how they help you and everything all the bank manager said was “oh the grace period is over, there’s nothing we can do.”

If anyone works at ANZ or intends to work there – do me a favour and change the STUPID “you have a 7 day grace period to make any changes” to say “5 business days” instead???

It looks like it’s generous being “7 days” but the banks don’t really operate on weekends, so it’s just pointless. And even though they were supposed to send us a letter 2 weeks in advance, we didn’t get that one – the bank just didn’t want to take any responsibility whatsoever and blamed it either on the mailing system or for us not keeping track of our accounts. I mean yeah, okay, but think about old people who are just forgetful…? It’s not like we intentionally skipped it – when we got the letter it was Friday 4:30pm after the bank closed! Argh. I’m not happy either way.

New photoshooting location!

Seems like my friend has found another awesome place to go shoot at. Will see if we can go some time later this week lol. I would have went with him, but I was hungry and went home. I didn’t tell him that, of course :x Hopefully I’ll have a day to go. I’m excited – it’s really close to where I live! According to him, he said that the place is “fantastic” – and if that is coming from him, most likely it is. He rarely gives compliments >_> But I’ll try to get some work done in the next day or two lol. I really need to get working o_o That’s not gonna help with me getting 13.5gb of videos today though -  J-DORAMA HERE I COME.

Rapidfire random stuff about me lately:

  • I’m doing fine and I’m well.
  • I just got some money – YAY! Unfortunately most of that goes back to paying myself back (this is ridiculous – at the beginning of the year I wanted to save $2000 and I’m sure I need to save maybe $5000 to save my own ass at this rate :( )
  • The charity flyer is going well and I’m surprised because I think at this moment in time the flyers have been printed – I’m going to design (or rather rework the existing one) into a magazine ad!
  • I really need to get a job lol. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. I’m only interested in doing one day per week, which is the funniest part of the equation.
  • Scrap that, I need a resume first.
  • The replacement memory card should be coming soon – by that I mean they’ve finally processed my form, but they haven’t dispatched it.
  • I really want to bake some cookies.
  • I am craving Sweet Chilli and Sour Cream Red Rock Deli gourmet chips (trust me, these are the best)
  • Need to find a Chinese community Christian church in the city - so far I’ve got the one in Surry Hills (it’s a Presbyterian one). Does anyone know of any others? It has to be in the city though, because that’s the closest to me (unless if you know anything very close to that). I would like to go maybe a few Sundays just to sit and listen to their service.
  • WTF ANIMANIA TICKETS ARE $35??? RIP OFF OR WHAT? Screw that – I don’t think I wanna go. That’s too expensive! I can get a haircut!

Sorry this post is so disorganised, long and choppy – but I hope you all enjoyed your weekly Monday read! Have a great start to the week (uhh okay I’m a day late, but whatever :P ) – until next blog!

Recount of the week and possibly stuff I learned, if applicable

I know y’all be sick of me repeating the same shiz over and over, but I have pics to make the post look pretty XD

And if you haven’t noticed, I’ve changed my blog layout. WOOP! Looks a lot neater, but a lot smaller too. Because I’m blogging on a Monday, I get to do a Mazeltov and go from Monday to Sunday :P

Monday

I cut my nails because well, the design was coming off and my nails seemed to be too long anyway. Cuticles do not look very healthy.

On the flip side though, orange pearl Konad polish is a really lovely colour. I’ve tricked you all here because I’ve edited the photo, but it is an orange. The lovely thing about it is that you can clearly see the silver glitter and it’s such a light springy summer kind of nail colour. Too bad it’s autumn now and it feels more like winter, but still, I really like the colour. Surprise surprise though, I didn’t like this colour at all when I got it in the mail, but I’m starting to think I’ll definitely be using this a lot more.

As you can see I’m starting to use my cher <3 diary – I love doing little doodles and sometimes I take notes in it. I’ve also marked above the 28th my first day of hula hooping XD And FYI – yes I have been hula hooping every day without fail.

Tuesday

Had gloomy weather and I basically did nothing. I know this isn’t interesting at all, but I thought I’d just share that with you ;)

Wednesday

While the weather was better, I accidentally stumbled across something I did not want to see. You could almost call it a breakdown. Needless to say, Wednesday was not a good day for me. But on the flip side, the Lovigans made plans to go to noraebang (Korean karaoke) for Thursday – YAY!

Thursday

Went to class and then we went to noraebang! The city’s nightlife is really different. I rarely hang around the city at night – but it was packed with people and people lining up to get into bars or clubs, and yeah. I already blogged about noraebang, but you should all visit C’s blog right here because she talks about the night in much better detail – she took more instaxes, and they actually show something lol – unlike my fail instaxes :( I couldn’t even put a picture to my blog T_T Also check out L’s awesome tumblr for photos of the night (mostly uploaded on the 2nd April 2010).

I’m going to steal this Instax of me and post it up here (so I get a picture here too hehe)

Credits: www.camillesioco.tumblr.com

I know it’s a cheeky photo becauses I was wearing something that covered my arms (plus I’m in all black which made me look more like a ninja more than anything else) but I think I am possibly losing some weight. 8) I don’t weigh myself, by the way. But seriously, photos from the week before were like D:!!! in comparison just to the ones before that. Sad sauce, but I’m going to bump up that cardio and burn some fat >:\ And I got the Belle Instax XD Hopefully I don’t end up with a Beast though >_> LOL GEDDIT… BEAST… OTL

But I see my Domo necklace >:3

But seriously, we all really did have mad awesome fun – best 2 hours of karaoke that went by so quickly, I’m not kidding. Luckily we didn’t go clubbing because there was still a line when we drove past on the way home… this was past midnight, too… but next time!

Friday

I woke up sick :\ As a result I couldn’t really do much work. I was just feeling crappy.

What was even crappier was this that I mentioned briefly in my Friday blog:

Yep, my polaroid bag has one of the straps slightly coming out. I carry my handbag like bags too much like a sack way too often, which is why it resulted to this. I’ll fix it up later at some time. Untouched photo. Cuz it has sexy light.

Saturday

I madly finished my computing assignment and finished around an epic time of perhaps 1 or 2am depending on how you want to calculate daylight savings. It was frustrating, but at the same time it was really satisfying, because the component I chose to model was actually a lot harder than I had expected it to be. I thought it was supposed to be easy but uh – no, it wasn’t. I’m feeling quite 1337 that I even managed to get it done.

Sunday

I handed in my assignment and then Ramille came over because they wanted to park their car over near my place for a day or two. Unexpectedly though (well to me), I found myself in the city (guys, had I known I would have worn a jacket instead of a vest XD) and we were at Capitol doing our usual thing. Only I couldn’t get this darn teddy bear out of the machine :( Sadsauce.

We had some icecream at Passionflower though!

By the way, for those who have been thinking “hey cool perspex (well actually they’re polycarbonate) chairs!” at Passionflower, can I please tell you that you are sitting on a chair worth approximately $450AUD? By the way, I looked it up, it’s actually $530AUD – I knew it was somewhere near the $500 mark, but I only knew it was +/- $100. To be safe I just went under or else you’d all be like PSH SO IT WASN’T WORTH ALL THAT MUCH. I found out it was $530 from this article which is a bit of text, but if you search for the Louis Ghost chair, you’ll find the price.

Yes, this chair is worth several hundred dollars because this is a designer chair.

BET Y’ALL DIDDUN KNOW THAT?!

I actually didn’t realise until yesterday because I never paid attention to their chairs. It was only yesterday that I realised my researching of chairs for my desk made me realise that this was the Kartell Louis Ghost chair by Philippe Starck.

If you’re interested, you can buy these chairs from SPACE FURNITURE or Kartell. They have a Kartell store in Bondi Junction Westfield. I remember the first time I walked in I was freaked out at $600 plastic chairs, but these are well worth it. They’re durable, light, look good, relatively comfortable (but not good as a desk chair as C agreed) and the mould is expensive to make, therefore the hike in price. I looked carefully at the chairs and they’ve been using them for quite a few years – no scratches. Pretty good.

This is what you’re paying to sit on when you eat your icecream lol. $15 dollar icecream!

Left: Heartbreaker, Right: Lasting Love

So C got a Heartbreaker while I got a Lasting Love. The irony. What was even worse was that I have a dollop of that strawberry icecream tucked into the back and my icecream eventually turned into a Heartbreaker :( Sucks. But the mango sorbet was really nice! It was like eating a Weiss bar – and strawberries – nomnomnom.

For those who are wondering why the quality of photo for the Louis Ghost and Icecream photos is different, it’s because I bought a DSLR. No, I’m just kidding, I took them with my phone camera, actually. I’m amazed at the clarity D: It could possibly end up taking better photos than my Sony at this rate >_<

We then went to a few other places,  but mostly Lumiere.

I finally got my Palty hair dye. I bought Honey Brown. Sorry for the blurry photo. This is where the irony kicks in – I took it with my Sony Cybershot, yet my Samsung phone photos are better >:\

$19AUD @ AKA Cosmetics. They had a LOT of stock like just the week or two before and now they’re almost all gone! I chose this colour because I like my browns to be ashy and not orange. I do not want flaming orange hair.

R was made of awesomesauce and won me a Doraemon – after the past week of being teased by a certain somebody about owning a yojigen pouch because I lug large bags around, I guess I’m stuck with the little “feline robot”. It’s really cute though XD And once again, R also won me the Domo pouch, which is actually a key holder! Thank you!

The inside of the pouch is so cute! There are little Domos in different poses hahahaha.

I didn’t realise until after we left the place, but inside the Domo pouch there was a golden egg inside. There wasn’t anything inside the egg or anything, and now I suspect that this is a promotion thing going on at Prize Paradise. Hopefully I’m heading out to the city sometime soon and I’ll give this back to the counter. I hope it means a prize 8D But if not, they can reuse it for next year lol – I swear it wasn’t intentional that I took it with me, I just didn’t know it was inside to begin with o_o

So because Ramille were parking near mine, I am babysitting their Domo-kun that sits in the backseat usually.

Craptastic blur. WHY?!

Their Domo-kun is so huge in comparison to my little Domo <3 But the cousins are hanging out together temporarily ^^

I decided to watch UP and it was so lovely! The graphics were so well done and I cried during the movie. The idea was just so beautiful ;__; It was so sad! But I really loved it.

By the way, R, I’ll have to side with C on this one – the kid from UP is definitely Asian because he has Asian eyes. Also his “mum” clapped like a Japanese lady :P They also got a Japanese kid to do his voice, so Russell is Japanese-American XD

http://images.hitfix.com/photos/59456/RussellUpPoster_gallery_primary.jpg

He has almond eyes! Only Asians have them!

Today, ie. Monday

Anyway, I’ll be watching movies for today :D I also checked your car, Ramille, and it’s clean and fine. :)

Today I’ll be starting my 30minute hula hoop sessions. I can actually hula hoop non stop for 20minutes, so I’m gonna bump that up to 30minutes now. And I’m going to spin faster, too. Hehehe. And yes, the hoop does work!

Hope y’all enjoyed this long ass post. Is this a better structure than my usual blogging? If so I’ll continue to blog like this, because this post took me a lot longer than usual to write.

Until next post!

PS: I am 100% sure that I left something out that I was supposed to write about. But I forgot. Hmm. It’ll come to me – later. OH YES – I have a few things to sell ._. Self reminder to post here and on Gumtree.

Nails and lots of random stuff

Hello my furry little friends – HAHAHA NO I KID – (that was fairly out of character from me)…

I realised that my last blog was almost a week ago. So I guess this files under “I’m alive not dead”.

Sorry to those who get my blog entries via email subscription – I tend to rarely edit my posts until I hit the Publish button, so if there are any mistakes, you’ll just have to come to my blog and see the mistakes edited :x I generally fix up typos, grammatical errors and anything else weird within 2 minutes of posting >_> But just yeah. I don’t like proofreading so sorry! ;_;

What happened after the submission and the little shoot at USYD? Well, let me just briefly categorise and break down this post in order during the week so that I don’t get myself confused. I’ve been lacking sleep (or rather, lacking energy – or both, I’ve been sleeping at like 1am-3am these days) so there’s something wrong. But anyway, let’s start! I still have design to do, though I have a few hours until class. I love actually doing my work.

Sunday

I slept in and I didn’t do anything productive. In fact it was so unproductive I can’t remember what happened.

Monday

Went to uni, printed off whatever else I needed to print off, and started reading like mad that night. C posted off some notes (haha ‘some’ is such an inaccurate word to use to describe the notes) for me and it was like all smiles around :D

Tuesday

Went to uni, because I had to start working on design. What happened was our tutor thought that graduation project ran for one semester only, and crammed the schedule so that there was something due every week. When I read through the brief I thought it was a bit hectic, but what do you expect, it’s graduation – then he realised after L  pointed out that by the end of this semester we would have finished everything including the design, so what was going to happen next semester? So yeah, he’s going to reschedule the work so it runs over a year – but he didn’t change the submission date for this week. So in pairs, we had a week (or well, in this case, slightly less) to read over 200 (if you include the council meetings, then maybe 450) pages of council documents and make it into a powerpoint. And a report.

We’ve almost finished the powerpoint and we have a bit of the report to go. And when I type that, I mean that’s where we stand now as I am typing this post >_< But we’ll get through it. I have a few hours to kill, and we have tonight and tomorrow morning. It’ll be ok. And it shouldn’t be assessed, either. Fingers crossed – if it is, I hope he gives us some time to patch it up, considering we’ve only gotten a week.

I got C’s parcel in the mail :D Yay for Express Post - though it must have cost a bit ._. 3kg satchel… omona :\

This is why I have not been blogging. I am not exaggerating when I say I literally have 600 pages to read.

HOLY?! When I got the parcel my mum was like going to me (when we were driving home from uni), “was that all? 600 pages? Seemed like it wasn’t 600 pages.” I was like “no way, it must have been” – I get home and it was HUGE. My mum was like “ORLY?” =_= I still have yet to bind this thing. I PROMISE, NEXT MONDAY. And lookie – nail tips! Also from C :D Thanks times a gazillion! I’ll play around with them on Friday night after design – ho ho ho ho. Not sure what to do with them, though. I don’t wear false nails.

I was tired and I was supposed to start another essay due for Thursday (that is, today), but I did my nails instead.

Nails of the week!

Do NOT buy the Konad pink special polish. I’ve said this before, but I’ve just gotten even more proof that it’s crapsauce.

(1) The stamp cannot pick up the entire stamp because the formula for this is WEAK. The colour does not show up as vibrant as the others.
(2) The stamp is pink too.  You can’t tell if the stamp is imperfect until you stamp it onto your nail. It was extremely frustrating finding that half a strawberry was missing.

So, I gave up the strawberries, and I used the template I got last time – m71 (lace) and polka dots from m79. I said that this was an absolute fail and that I wanted to get rid of this set ASAP but it’s not so bad any more. I think everything looks better in daylight – including photos of things. Sorry for the slight blur – I was lazy and didn’t want to use super macro. However, I now Photoshop my photos beyond a clone stamp tool to clean up my messy polish hehehe. And I was just playing around with the sig to trick you all.

Click for a larger image!

I know, the photos are washed out, but that’s the feeling I was trying to aim for. I used Konad’s Light Beige polish as the base colour, the plates as I mentioned before, pink and purple special polish (only the polka dots were pink, everything else was purple) – for the polka dots I used pink Konad rhinestones (really pretty and they are staying on quite well – I love how they were freebies too. YUS), and also these pastel purple hearts that C gave me in this Korean Cute Art Nail kit.

The biggest fail about this set was that for some reason I thought that the nail kit had purple hearts that were 3D, but they didn’t lololol. I don’t know why I thought they had it >_> But anyway.

Love it? Hate it? Let me know.

Everyone’s getting engaged these days – I found out that a fellow student L recently got engaged – CONGRATS! I feel so behind. She’s only 2 years older and she’s already engaged – I’m still single D:

Wednesday

Went to uni. Continuation of design. We then went to the city to take some photos for our powerpoint. On the way of course I couldn’t help but snap some random stuff.

This is the set I’m putting together. Not for design or anything. Just for myself lol. I quite liked these photos in particular. And yes, I’m no longer going to post in standard photo size if I don’t want to. I think it’s rather silly to keep it at that size, to be honest. I don’t print these anyway, so I’ll just let it be like this. I should start saving my photos larger. I don’t actually save the base file when I edit the colours lololol – oh well.

Jelly Belly!

L went to buy some at a convenience store and the guy was nice – he asked her how many friends she had waiting outside and she said 3 – so we each got a packet! These make me nostalgic. I think one of the first ever birthday presents I got was a jar of Jelly Belly <3

I then saw a few photos of me from USYD flying around tumblr - yay for the polaroid one that L took of me in the airy room! However one thing I noticed was how incredibly fat I’m starting to look :\ I don’t remember looking as fat just the week before at Cockatoo Island – was it uni?! Either way I’m quite depressed seeing the photos – they are lovely, but they are also telling me to start exercising like mad. The thing is half the time I’m in denial because in real life/ person, I don’t appear to be chunky or as chunky as I believe I am. Then photos… IN MY FACE Dx

Actually, it must have been. Just last week I was staying up late, having poor sleeping patterns and not to mention I had a bout of crazy metabolism. I need to do something :\

MY ASSIGNMENT GOT AN EXTENSION! Originally I had a computer thing due in for Monday, but since it’s been extended, I can go out on the weekend. YAY! I better lose weight and be more active :\ Imma play that basketball thingo every week from now on >:\

Thursday

So I decided to start exercising. I did some jogging this morning and to help me I charged up my very dead Nano.

Yes, I have an iPod, and it’s an old Generation 2 Nano. (You can tell I quite like green since my folder is also green on the lower left, though I didn’t buy this, this was a Christmas present I received a few years ago)

It’s ALIVE! I generally rarely use this. I used it when I would walk to uni and back home, but ever since I stopped charging it, I guess I just stopped doing it. I am planning on bringing this with me and updating it with good music so I’m motivated to walk.

I’ll also be lifting some weights maybe after lunch or something so yeah.

It might sound like I’m making excuses, but recently the new neighbours next door moved in and they are smokers. I used to walk off my meals in the living room, but ever since they moved in, I can’t hang around there any more. It gives me a headache.

I didn’t take the Nano with me this morning, but even though I was only out for 15 minutes, I covered quite some distance. My biggest flaw is that I do not jog – I end up running. Eurgh.

—–

So, that’s my week from Sunday up until now. I’ll blog again most likely Saturday morning and/ or night (I’ll blog in the morning if I end up doing any nail sets on those nail tips, at night if I am still awake by then).

For now I’ll be making a pot of green tea every day and hope that it’ll boost my metabolism.

Until next blog!

Nails of the week: Bom from 2NE1 inspired nails

So I was browsing on soompi when I saw a tutorial (youtube video) for a Bom nail look. From the picture I saw they used gold instead and they drew cheetah prints on it. I was curious because someone commented that the original colour scheme of pink and white was nice, so I decided to watch the MV.

Screenshot done by me.

Yes, I was that bothered to screenshot it and pause it on the spot. If you look at it (though I never watched it full screen because I want to conserve bandwidth), they look more like lines than cheetah prints to me. So I decided to test it out considering I had a zebra print stamp. I have pink nail polish, but I wanted a hassle free finish, so I used a Konad “Peach pearl” polish instead, which is more like a sheer bridal colour.

EDIT/ Replaced craptastic photo with better one

Zebra prints done with Peach Pearl and Light Beige Konad polishes, white special polish zebra stamp from m57 image plate, with another black special polish stamp overlapped.

Sorry for the crap photo. I’ll see what I can do tomorrow when there’s natural light. I had to photoshop that image to make the pink and white different too :\ In real life though they all look the same colour LOL there’s just a subtle difference, but uhh yeah, “inspired” >_> Not trying to do the same thing lol. I can’t figure for the life of me whether or not they were zebra prints or not and if they used white AND black. I can see a bit of white on the middle fingernail, but it doesn’t even look like a zebra print.

But oh well, I have zebra print nails anyway, something I thought I’d never have – and I must say, it looks pretty cool! I had to redo 4/5 nails on my right hand though, because I couldn’t overlap the black stamp properly, so I screwed that up. My right hand funnily enough is neater than my left hand stamps. Practice does make perfect :)

They’re growing on me. I quite like them! Now if only the photo did some more justice to the one hour I spent doing this. Hmmm.

—-

Anyway onto other matters concerning normal daily life (I haven’t really been blogging lately!) – I’ve been working on design. I have to come up with 2 proposals of interest for 2 electives and hope that I get accepted into one of them lol. It’s been hard, and I am braindead/ stuck – so I called it a day and worked on my nails. I’ll finish on time though – because I know where I’m headed. I just need to do some research and put it all together. Hopefully I can print one of them on Thursday (both would be ideal) and then I can come in early and pin them up Friday morning. I want a hassle and stress free Friday so I can have the Saturday off :)

WHEE AWESOME NAILS. If only our brains could take screenshots of what we see. Now THAT’D be cool.

Anyway, I’m out :D I’ll update the photo tomorrow. Promise :) It might be a bit later in the day, but I’ll be taking the photo in the morning :)

Until next time!

Nails of the week

So, as you all know, I bought this awesome Kimmidoll bag holder.

I’m an absolute sucker for Japanese print things. I absolutely LOVE IT.

You’d be wondering why I don’t like Chinese prints instead – it’s probably because I’m so used to seeing them – but the Japanese prints are so POP that I just love them.

Anyway, using this as an inspiration, I decided to do some Japanese flowered themed nails – I was going to use deep blue and white base for my nails (alternating) but I HATE the pink special polish. Warning – it’s CRAP! Get the red one instead. I’m totally facepalming over the pink special polish - I’ll find a use for it somehow, but argh. Not good.

Left hand

Right hand

Sorry for the exceptionally blurry photos. HOWEVER – I cleaned up around my nails. Excuse the fluff on my fingers for the left hand – I’ve been using wool cotton pads and they SUCK – they disintegrate in your hands when you use them for a bit longer than usual T_T They were the worst attirer puffs I ever bought.

UPDATED WITH CLEARER PHOTOS :D Does a lot more justice to this set.

But yeah, these were done using Konad’s Deep Shining Blue polish and just the white Konad special polish, using the s9 template. I strongly encourage you all to check out the s series templates – they aren’t available here in Australia (and if they were, I bet they’d be more expensive than the m series). I got this off Gmarket a la Korea, and these are totally worth it. I love the flowers and I know the photos are really crappy – they look really really awesome in real life. As you may or may not know, most Japanese yukata are deep blue with white patterns. Or well, they’re commonly blue and white. They come in a range of colours, anyway.

Because it’s night time, photography isn’t the best. I might be back maybe tomorrow with better photos – yes yes? GYAH I LOVE THESE.

Until next blog <3
